Hunt House Bed & Breakfast

Stayed overnight March 16, 2013. Very happy with rooms. Beds comfortable. Molly and Paul couldn’t have been more hospitable. Breakfast was fantastic. We will be returning soon and would recommend to others. Kathy R

We recently returned from a week long stay at the Hunt House Inn, and we had a lovely time. I’m from Massachusetts, but I now live in California, so we needed a place to stay that was convenient, but still felt like we were «on vacation». The Hunt House fit the bill nicely.
Molly is a terrific hostess. When a «nicer» room opened up, she asked if we’d like to move. We really had no problems with our original room, except for the low water flow on the shower, but we took her up on the offer anyway. Our second room had a lot more closet space, and was a better room overall for a week long stay.
The breakfasts were super. The default items were always available: greek yogurt and fresh fruit, plus a selection of homemade muffins and baked goodies, with juice and coffee ready to go.
When we appeared on the scene, a hot entrée would also miraculously appear as well. These were usually an egg dish of some sort, such as a frittata, or omelette. This was quite marvelous of Molly, since we were definitely on West Coast time in the beginning!
The Inn was quiet, and clean, and we felt right at home there.

5 stars for value and scenic location
5 stars for the breakfast muffins
3 stars for overall breakfast – not a true b and b with hot breakfast served automatically. We had to ask specially for hot breakfast and I felt like I was putting the owner out. The cold breakfast was excellent, just should advertise it that way.
1 star for water pressure in shower – there was low water pressure on the first day and none the second.
2.5 stars for cleanliness – hair in shower and dental floss on floor, otherwise fine – vacuumed, clean sheets, etc…
Owners love to talk, tell stories, and join in the conversations of the patrons as if they know you – if you enjoy that, then this place would be a good fit for you. If you prefer a more anonymous stay, then this b and b might not be the best match for you.

So the low down is stay in Boston and pay 250 a night or stay in Sudbury and pay 100 a night for two rooms. One for you and the wife and you and one for the kids. Now granted its a 40 min drive into Boston. But on the other hand you are in this quaint new england town of Sudbury. Molly fixes a fantastic Breakfast and takes care of you like your own mother would.
