Harbourview Medical Center

Yesterday was the first time I ever utilized Harbourview Medical Center (HMC). I needed a EKG for an upcoming surgery and my doctor sent me there. Previously, I had been to Obici for my and my children’s medical issues, and I didn’t really know about HMC until now.
When I arrived, I was given a buzzer and told to wait in the lobby. The lobby area is beautiful – bright and comfortable. Looking out the window I could see the pond, fountain and trees. It was so peaceful and relaxing.
I waited about 15 minutes before my buzzer went off. I then went to registration and it took about 10 minutes. Afterwards, I had to go sit back in the lobby, but I needed to use the restroom, and when I came back out, my buzzer was going off again. That was fast!
The procedure (EKG) was quick and the nurse who took care of me was very nice. We chatted and I felt very at ease with her. All of the staff were nice but she was exceptionally good at her job.
Overall, my time at HMC took about 45 minutes and I was impressed. I wish I had used this place instead of Obici for other instances in the past. This building is clean and so bright and cheery! I would definitely recommend HMC when you need medical care.

My daughter and I Got checked out because of a car accident. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I was in and out with in 45 minutes. I feel like the staff was told to send professional headshot stop get the job lol. The doctor I got was cute lol. He’s lucky I’m not in the prowl because that checkup could’ve went way differently… But I digress! Every area I went to was clean and neat. You could tell everyone generally enjoyed their career.

Fast and very friendly people! I have gone here a few times over the years with myself and my children and every experience was good.

Here now and this place is not what it used to be. I live 3 miles from a major hospital but I always come here and tell others to as well because I’ve gotten great care and I’ve never even sat in the waiting room! I know I’ve gotten lucky. (Although they use to advertise less than 20 minutes for a doctor). I’m a health care provider and wait times can not always be helped. My local ER is always 3 – 6 hours! Tonight the triage nurse and the loading nurse were rude and cold. The triage nurse actually put his hand up and basically hushed me because I could see my sick daughter was rambling I tried to summarize for her why we came. We have been here for over 2 hours and no doctor yet. The wait time I won’t complain about but rudeness is not forgivable. I can chance this 5 minutes away. I won’t be back with this staff. I hope the doctor is good!

So happy we have this emergency room to go to. A1 care. Everyone has been so courteous and professional. Have used ER services, medical services and had lens implants.
