Our second visit today. Fairly large group(7). Excellent food(very LARGE servings!) and great service. Ellisse was our server. Very patient and took great care of the two teenage girls. This is not a fast food restaurant and the food doesn’t necessarily get to you real fast — but it cooked to order and is great. Half hour trip for us and we’ll be back regularly

Let me say right at the beginning that the service was great. The server could not have been more eager to please. She made one mistake though. She sat down across from me in the booth to take my order. On no! Very bad. But she was sooo sweet and tried so hard in every other way I found myself overlooking that mistake and still leaving her a good tip. I’m told I’m picky, but even I can overlook a faux pas if the person is genuinely nice and helpful. The breakfast, on the other hand, cannot be overlooked. It was very, very disappointing. First, ALL the juice is either frozen or bottled. Yuck!!! There are no great coffee combos. Just plain old coffee. It’s good plain old coffee but it’s just plain old coffee. I was hoping for cappuccino. I thought a breakfast place would have a lot of coffee choices. I was wrong. The eggs were supposed to be over easy and one was actually cooked hard. Both had a crispy, crusty edge and brown spotting all over. A sure sign the grill was too hot. Some people like that crispy edge on the fried eggs but I’m not one of them. I like mine cooked slowly and evenly. The hash browns were frozen and they were also overcooked and flavorless. The toast choices were lackluster. I asked how the biscuits were and the server said it depended who made them. They could be heavy and hard. So I opted for marbled rye toast which was served unbuttered. I really hate that. Please, please butter my toast while it is hot and can absorb it. So, here’s a good thing. The butter on the table is REAL butter, not margarine. But it was difficult to appreciate unmelted on cold toast. So let’s talk about the worse thing on the plate. It was the thing I was looking forward to the most and it was not just bad it was really bad. It was roasted bacon wrapped asparagus with hollandaise sauce. It should have been wonderful. How could a person go wrong? Well, here’s how. Don’t cut off the white, reedy, inedible end of the asparagus. Wrap it in bacon. Next, roast it so long that the asparagus is limp and dried out. Actually dried out! Last, but not least, have the hollandaise separating right there in the ramekin and don’t put enough lemon juice in the sauce at the beginning. It broke my heart!!! I love asparagus enough to eat it raw but not limp and dried out. I love bacon. And, I will eat just about anything if you put hollandaise on it. This should have been a winner. At the very least, if a restaurant chooses to serve asparagus they should train the kitchen staff on proper prep. No one, ever leaves the white, reedy end on the asparagus spear. It’s like leaving the stem on an apple and expecting people to eat it. It is meant to be discarded. So, even though The Egg Bistro is close to my home, I won’t be coming back. I gave them 2 stars for the service.

The food was very, very good! The waitress Jo-Anne wasn’t very friendly, did not smile and seemed a bit irritated but like I said, the food was very, very good. I would definitely go back, I would just avoid Jo-Anne, the waitress. Yikes!

I went there earlier today for lunch the food was amazing .I order a meat lovers omelet butt I do have to say this is my first time going into a restaurant with the waitress staff wearing yoga pants and our waitress came to our table about 6 times before the food even got there. And the tables are so close in this place and it is so loud

We went there on a memorial day weekend for a quick breakfast but had to wait for 40 mins before getting a table. The ambiance was good and so was the service. I had pancakes infused with chocolate, pecan, strawberries and blueberries along with eggs(sunny side up) and turkey sausages. Eggs and sausages were cooked to its perfection. Pan cakes looked beautiful and tasted delicious. This entire dish was one entry order(Infused pancakes) from their menu, and I had to do a bit of overeating in the end to finish everything. So, beware of the quantity that comes in every order as I saw a lot of people asking for togo box or wasting a lot of food. Overall, I enjoyed the breakfast and recommend people to visit this place if you go in this area.

Didn’t disappoint as usual. Today I tried the firecracker omelet and my hubby had a banana and pecan waffle breakfast. Well as we expect, they didn’t disappoint! A nice size serving of eggs and the ingredients inside were cooked to perfection. The hubby only could finish ¾ th of his… he was full. Amber was pleasant and attentive to our needs. But there is one thing that stood out, MIMOSAS!!! They make their mimosas with Verdi, which so happens to be my favorite bubbly :) so three pinepineapple mimosas later(don’t worry I wasn’t driving) all was still wonderful in the world. That alone was making our breakfast choice more solid. Food=yummmmmmmm, drinks= party, service= amazing. Thanks for a great breakfast!!!

It is not what u think of as a place with egg in the name. It has amazing breakfast but it also has a nice bar and lunch and dinner options. I had a skillet there most recently. I didn’t need to eat again until the next day. The amount of food was huge. I would likely share in the future. It has a nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff. I would definitely go again

Went to Sunday brunch. I recommend asking for first available seating if you don’t have a real preference. Otherwise, you may be waiting for a while. My sister put our name down then changed it to first available after 4 or 5 groups that came after us got seated first bc they said first available. Brunch was great. I got the Firecracker omelette. It was really good. My sister got the southwestern omelette which I also took a picture of. The restaurant was busy, but our food came out pretty fast. Our waitress was good.

Great little breakfast /brunch spot in Suffolk. Ate here 2x on my last trip. Service is friendly and quick. Portions are a good size and the eggs are cooked perfectly and the cubed potatoes are awesome. Definitely worth the price vs a hotel breakfast. They have a really nice bar area too if you have the time to spend there!

As an avid lover of breakfast food, when I saw a place called ‘The Egg Bistro’ I got pretty excited about going here. Unfortunately their hours are not very work-travel friendly, closing daily at 4(?). On lunch break at work we decided to go over and get some food. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit pictured and some hashbrowns. The sandwich was pretty good, but the eggs were not as life-changing as I’d hoped since the place was named after eggs(my own fault, expectations too high). The hash browns were kind of meh. Definitely edible and decent, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get them again. Overall, wonderful experience, but don’t go extremely out of your way to get over here.

The drinks were really good and half off for happy hour. The waiter was really friendly and the bartender was quick and nice. The service was really fast. I’ve always had really good meals there.

This place is very loud, if you want to bring a date here and not talk to them, its the place to come. The menu has a variety of breakfast, omelettes, waffles, eggs Benedict and lunch items. I had the biscuits and gravy meal. The gravy was rich and creamy. The chunks of bacon and sausage in the gravy were delicious. If it wasn’t for the noise I rate this place a 5.

Been looking to check this place out for a while and finally got the opportunity to do so on Christmas Eve. Without question, it was very busy but the wait was not long, about 20 mins if you take first available tables. We were seated at the bar in the back corner, sounds bad but it was actually very cozy. Was created in reasonable time. I started off with the breakfast blood Mary. A bit on the spicy side but I did not mind. Wife and daughter had fresh squeezed OJ. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast with sausage gravy. It was GREAT! Served hot, eggs were cooked to order and the potatoes were full of flavor. My wife had some pancakes which were huge, she gave me one and it was awesome! She ordered cheese in her eggs and they forgot to do that. My daughter had waffles with strawberries and some nice hot links and shredded potatoes. They forgot to bring her eggs. Oh speaking of the potatoes you can get them either cubed or shredded. The restaurant is nice, kinda like a «dive feel» to it. I really like that area. Ill be back.

This was our first visit and we didn’t know what to expect. First want to say, I was very impressed with the large number of choices on the kids menu as well as the variety. I love going places that don’t have grilled cheese and fried chicken as the only kid choices. Being a vegetarian, finding places I enjoy eating can be hard, but I loved the caprese panini here. It was fresh and filling and stuffed with perfectly cooked veggies. I would have liked some pesto or something to add some moisture but the sauce they serve it with was good as well. I had the garlic fries as well and those were amazing! Really really enjoyed those fries! My husband has the cavalier burger. It was cooked well and he says it was very tasty. He had onion rings as his side and those were delicious as well. Another note, it’s nice to go somewhere that still offers a military discount. It’s not that I feel it’s owed, but it’s nice some places still offer. All in all, a nice place for our Sunday brunch. We will absolutely be returning to try more of the menu items.

This place is definitely hit or miss. Not a solid 4 stars but since I’ve had more good times than not so good times. Seemingly, my most recent visit was just an ok time. I dined here for brunch with my mom, my babe and my daughter. We arrived about 11am and was seated at 1115am. A little bit of a wait but for a Saturday around that time was great! We sat in the seating area to the left of the restaurant. On this side, there is one TV that can be seen by everyone in this area. We also get a side view of the open kitchen area. This view also shows when orders are ready for pick up. Kind of neat! So you can sorta be on the look out for your order or see what goodness others have ordered. My mom had an omelet meal with pancakes. My babe had the crab cake with asparagus, my daughter had the BBQ sandwich with fries and I had a panini with hash browns. Drinks: 2 waters, coffee, and lemonade. So we ordered and had a few special requests for one of the orders. The waitress, Katie seemed to have it all set. She didn’t repeat the order back to us so I figured ok… she got us! So my babe food looked awesome and was mighty tasty. He indeed was satisfied! My food was a little greasy… the panini and the hash browns, but that didn’t stop me I ate it all! I was hunnnngry!!! My daughter’s food, she said the BBQ was too spicy for her. I tasted it to see… not so much spicy but it definitely was tangy. I assume more than enough vinegar was used. She wasn’t happy so Katie happily replaced her order with her next choice. My daughter then wanted the mini corn dogs with fries. In the meantime my mom’s food arrived. She requested«shelled eggs» «real eggs» but the omelet definitely didn’t look like it was made with«real eggs» So here we are about 45 mins later. My daughter waiting on her 2nd order and my mom waiting on her«real eggs» omelet. My mom ordered a side of pancakes with her order. She was eating them while she waited and waited and waited for her omelet to be made correctly. So halfway into her pancakes, Katie says I’m sorry but it’s coming soon. My mom decided to cancel the order all together. But my daughters food arrived and she was pleased with her second choice. Now usually our experiences are pleasant but this time and 2 other times we definitely gave the side eye. Nevertheless, this time will not stop us from visiting again. We definitely expressed our concerns to the manager and he assured next time we visit he’ll «take care of us» Breakfast Lunch and Dinner… outside dining… special events occur throughout the month… different meal specials are featured daily too I’d recommend this place 80% Have fun | Enjoy

I don’t eat here often but do enjoy it when I have gone for various meals. Always pleased with my service at various times as well. Breakfast seems a little slower or I am just in a hurry those days. Today was dinner and drinks. We sat at the bar. There were still a couple seats left and only 1 or 2 tables available on a Friday at 6:30. I choose a burger to go with my sophisticated strawberry shortcake and key lime Martini’s. Happy hour 3 – 7 Fridays! My burger was delicious and moist arriving to me on a pretzel bun served with a preferred side of fries! Husband was satisfied with his meatloaf and mashed potatoes. We declined dessert but it was hard to deny a homemade cheesecake.

I went here for dinner. The food presentation was great. They give you a lot of food for your money. The menu had a variety of selections. I’m definitely dining here again.

I enjoyed every bit of my experience with The Egg Bistro. We were seated right away, the waitress was upbeat, knowledgable, and patient. We weren’t out for anything too heavy to fill our stomachs so we concentrated on the appetizer menu. Our order was brought to us within a decent time frame, and we loved every bite of it. We loved it so much we order two more different appetizers. The drink menu gave me many different choices WHICH I LOVE! So It took me a few minutes to narrow down what I wanted. The drinks were also great! After my experience last night I’m sure I will be a regular at this establishment.

I am not a big breakfast restaurant person; I’m usually starving when I wake up, and it takes too long to get somewhere to eat. That’s why I hadn’t tried The Egg Bistro(TEB) until recently. My first visit was for lunch, but I knew I needed to try their breakfast before I could write a proper review. They can be quite busy, which is also why I hadn’t been there earlier. Last Friday, with my partner in crime(a.k.a. my middle son), we decided to explore their breakfast menu. TEB is located at a strip mall next to the Regal Cinema. It is fairly spacious inside, but when it’s full, the noise can be deafening. On my first trip, I was alone and they sat me at the bar. It was quiet, but I wanted to experience their regular table service. That morning for breakfast, I was wishing we were sitting at the bar – so loud in the dining room! I found the service was good both times, so let’s look at the food: Visit 1: I ordered the Butts Station(smoked pulled pork Carolina style BBQ with coleslaw and garlic fries – $ 8.29 and 99¢ extra for garlic fries). The sandwich was delicious – the meat was smoky and moist. However, the coleslaw was bland, and the garlic fries were just okay. I wouldn’t order them again. Visit 2: My son ordered their infamous French Toast with turkey sausage and hash browns($ 8.49), and I got the Eggs Blue Crab(Crab cakes, English muffins and hollandaise sauce with hash browns for $ 11.99). I tried a bite of his French Toast and thought it was average; my son thought it was fantastic. My eggs benedict was a different story. When it came out(by the way – they were very busy, but the food came out extremely fast), it looked like a hot mess on a plate. I thought, «These are supposed to be crab cakes? It looked like they chopped them up and put it on an English muffin.» The English muffins were barely toasted and the eggs were undercooked – when you take the very runny yolks with the watery hollandaise sauce, it looked like – well…snot. Maybe the food was off that day and someone was rushing, but I would steer away from the eggs benedict. One more thing to mention about the sides: you get your choice of hash browns and grits. When you pick hash browns, you get the choice of «shredded» or «cubed.» The shredded hash browns needed some seasoning, big time. The cubed hash browns were fried; they were tasty and seasoned, but not what I would call hash browns. I don’t really get why they’re so busy, but maybe that’s because we don’t have many breakfast restaurants in Suffolk. I’m not a fan of crowds and having to wait for average food(heck – I don’t like having to wait for amazing food!); I would definitely stay away during the weekend. I would go back for lunch and sit at the bar, but otherwise, I would probably skip it.
