I love the food at this place. I have been here a lot of times and never a bad meal!

Went here with my wife and I after a neighbor told us to give it a try. It was pretty packed on a Friday night, but there were a couple parties going on, as well as, there was a prime rib special going on. I ordered the prime rib and it came with two sides and a salad or soup. I can say the prime rib was cooked to my liking and it tasted good. My wife just ended up going with a burger and she liked her burger as well. The prices were really reasonable and this would definitely be a place that we’d try again.

Would give it 4.5 stars. Been here a bunch of times. Consistency is what you get here. You get what you order exactly the same every time. Waitstaff is respectful and attentive. Suburb food at a suburb price. I’d recommend the Mediterranean chicken.

All I can say, is those of you that love this place, must not get out very much. Therefore, you haven’t a clue what good food really is.

I LOVETHISPLACE! The food is terrific and the meals are huuuuge. Their draft beer list is also quite extensive and features many microbrews from the region. Of all the things I’ve had at fireside I like the Broasted Pork Chops and the dinner salads(Buffalo Chicken and Steak Salads especially). The side salad and veggie options are fresh and nicely prepared. The baked sweet potato is awesome. The waitstaff is always extremely courteous and friendly, the food is always served hot and timely, and the setting is very relaxing and comfortable. Their menu is very extensive and will certainly have something for everyone. Some of my favorites include the wings, calamari, burgers, porkchops, salads, and steaks. Ive always wanted to to get the ribs or the meatloaf, both of which are gigantic. And this isn’t just a small town version of the cheesecake factory. Yes the portions are large, but its actually good food.

Our go to place. Great food, good portion size, always have leftovers. Best baked french onion soup I’ve had.

This is one of our all-time favorite restaurants. We take out-of-town guests here al the time and they love it as well. The home-y environment is quaint and relaxing. My husband LOVES their prime rib. I usually try to get something different and everything has turned out quite well. I can’t pick a favorite. The garden salad always seems fresh. The ranch dressing– the waitress told us that they make it fresh every day. By far, one of my favorite restaurants dressings(I crave it!). The parking lot seems full majority of the time but we haven’t waited for more than 5 minutes for a table. My only con– need more tap selections.

Food portions are gigantic & tasty! Go very hungry & expect to take home lots of leftovers. Prices are a tad high for the area. Love the flavored moscow mules. Parking lot almost always looks packed, but the inside is large. Don’t be afraid to check it out before just driving by.

My husband and I went with a group a second time to this restaurant. First time was A-OK, but not amazing. Maybe it’s from the food I ordered, maybe some other reason. This time, the meal was being paid for by the in-laws, so I went«all out». Aka, I didn’t get a baked potato and soup. I got the cajun chicken pasta for $ 19.99. Yep, still expensive. But the portion is massive! Seriously at any other restaurant I would have called my entrée«family style». I can pack away the food, but I ate a portion of the meal and still had 2 meals at home. It was good, but the chicken they use in it had a funny texture. The restaurant can correct me if I’m wrong, but tasted a little like the chicken that comes pre-sliced and frozen. They have a promotion where if you get a moscow mule(or some sort of mule) for $ 8.99, you get to take a mug home with you. So that is what we did. Some beer specials are pretty cheap for $ 3-$ 5, so it would be an ok place for a drink. They were very busy on a Friday night and the parking lot was packed. The restaurant was packed as well. Our waiter, Alex, was friendly but seemed very busy. He put up with our crazy bunch, so he gets a star. Service and food were good, but I wish the prices were a little lower. I would pay $ 12.99 or something for the same cajun chicken pasta dish, if it were half the size.

The food was good in general. Great portion sizes for the money! The one turnoff(and a major one at that) was that they served what seemed like canned mushrooms with their prime rib. Plus, for the menu, using paper napkins seemed pretty tacky.

Baked French Onion Soup, Blackened Shrimp Pasta, and service, were really good. Prime rib was overcooked, vegetables were undercooked, and mashed potatoes were boxed dehydrated potatoes. Overall there was more good than bad, I’d try this place again.

Had dinner here tonight. Great place. We started out with the black and blue steak bites.yumm. I had the chicken walnut salad, which came with honey mustard vinaigrette… very good. My hubby had a pasta with sausage(don’t remember the name, sorry). He really enjoyed it and had enough for leftovers. Not a long wait because we arrived early tonight. Seemed to fill up quite a bit more towards 7pm. Nice atmosphere and service.

Worth it for the Mules alone. Fireside Grille has a huge menu with options for everyone. They also have different featured menu items every day of the week. But back to the Mules. They have an entire menu of Mule cocktails, for $ 9 each, and you get to take the copper mug home with you. They also boast an extensive selection of martinis and other specialty cocktails. The black and bleu steak bites are excellent, and if you’re in the mood for some good old American comfort food, go with the French Onion meatloaf. You WILL have leftovers no matter what you order, portions are generous. We’ve visited Fireside twice so far, and we will definitely be back time and time again!

This is the best restaurant around!!! Consistent quality and great food. I’ve never had a bad meal here and have been to the fireside 10+ times. Love this place!

I’ve had mixed experiences here. The service is always rather good and the food comes out in a timely manner, but the quality of the food has gone both ways for me. I find that ordering popular/straightforward items such as a steak, lamb, or fish with two sides is the best way to go. Whenever I try to venture off and order something more unique to the restaurant, I am always disappointed. I would still recommend this place to people that I know, but suggest that they stick with the basic meat/potato/veggie route.

Came in for lunch on a Friday, not busy at all. I was with my parents and best friend. Tried three different wraps from the lunch special menu and the French dip. All items were very tasty. I would definitely return to try more!

The Fireside is way off my beaten path, but I dined there recently as part of a family celebration. It’s an informal, sprawling dining hall with an extensive menu of middle-brow favorites: straight ahead steaks, fish, pasta, chicken, etc. There’s a nice beer list on tap and by bottle, and a decent small wine list(as well as a tasty mango lemonade among its soft beverages). Everyone in the party seemed happy with their meal choices. My firsthand experience was jambalaya made with a medley of fresh-tasting fish, shrimp, scallops and chicken, plus a simple smoked sausage. I liked it: good flavors, very perky. An accompanying house salad was A-OK, fresh and attractive. I sampled a few of the draft beers, and was pleased with them. Service was cordial, attentive, helpful — and brisk. Our server was very take-charge, as might be expected since the place was packed. It’s a noisy venue due the capacity and the low ceiling; conversation was a challenge for me. Certainly not my favorite dining scene, but OK for the purposes of the evening.

We have driven by sooooooooooooo many times and finally had an opportunity to stop for dinner. There are booths when you enter, a bar area with some high top tables, but on a cold winter’s night, the top spot is the room with tables near the fireplace. There was also a room to the left of the hostess stand that can probably be used for larger parties or private parties. They were previewing a new soup: smoked bacon, turkey, vegetable corn chowder. It had everything, was served hot, and was deeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious. I asked if it might become part of a regular rotation of soup, I would come back for that. The Tuesday night special was BBQ ribs, but we were in a hurry, so we just ordered cheeseburgers. They were juicy, cooked to perfection, served with very good cole slaw, nicely cooked French fries, and a pickle. I would definitely return to try some of the other selections and, if it were a Tuesday, the ribs, you could smell them and they smelled wonderful. Fair pricing and it must have regulars and draws the locals. Parking is the down fall. You enter the parking area driving past a very seedy motel. Entrance is one way and the only exit is behind the restaurant and out onto a street. Take note of that, especially at night and especially if it is your first visit. We took a tour around the parking lot twice, trying to find a way out.

Nice place to go that is a step up from a mom and pop restaurant. There prices are cheap, menu is very diverse and service is good. This place always has a full parking lot. Which is a really good indicator of a good restaurant. Especially if it’s consistent. They have good pork chops… I love a nice chargrilled pork chop and they do not disappoint. There potato was fixed up high with all the trimmings. Butter and sour cream on the side(which I don’t understand… put the butter on the potato before pilling it so high.) My wife enjoys the prime rib, and for $ 20 she got a prime rib as thick as both of my pork chops put together. I like a place where I can pay less than Outback’s prices but get a Steak house steak that’ll fill you up with yummy goodness. Not a miss on this at all. Go here, fill up and enjoy. You will leave unbuttoning your jeans… for sure.

SO tired of the abundant chain restaurants in the Oswego area. In addition, the sad attempt at American fare by various eateries in the Yorkville area left me hesitant to visit Fireside Grille in Sugar Grove. Thank my hungry, noontime belly that I did! SOLID: I usually judge a place by it’s Reuben(especially if I’m there for lunch) and this one did not disappoint. Great flavor on marble rye(like it should be) with the thick, 1000 Island dressing on the side. My wife ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was well presented and had a solid Buffalo sauce! BESTPART: My favorite by far, however, were the Black & Bleu Steak Bites(appetizer, $ 10, see uploaded picture). I’m a HUGE fan of blackening spice(please temper my strong support with that knowledge), but this was a home run for me. I would have been happy to just order this and a small salad and a glass of vino. Could have sucked up the cajun cabernet sauce with a straw. DRAWBACKS: Kid’s meals were typical as were the fries. Don’t get me wrong, they were tasty and the ranch dressing I dipped in was delish, but if they had the crunchy outside similar to the Millhurst Ale House in Yorkville, I’d probably have eaten ‘em all. I also was sad to see that they simply took the chicken strips from my son’s meal and coated ‘em in Buffalo Sauce for my wife’s Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. On one hand I felt that was weak… but then again, it was a crazy tasty sandwich! Mixed on that level. In summary, I’d say that the Fireside Grille will be in the rotation for my family from this point out. God knows we can drop $ 40 – 50 at a Red Robin, but based off my initial experience I’d much rather have the non-chain + depth of menu at the Fireside Grille. Cheers to the owners, chefs, and waitstaff. See you soon!
