Fantastic quick pizza at a good price. The flavors and varieties make it a fantastic place to eat

Love the concept. Unfortunately, poor execution. This location unfortunately is very, very slow and the quality just isn’t there for me. The employees aren’t systematic in the way that they prep the dough, add toppings, and cook the pizza. It’s usually one person preparing each individual pizza crust, adding sauce, cheese, and toppings, while the other customers in line are left waiting for what seems like an eternity. This definitely needs improvement. I’ve been to other Blaze locations and they have pizza crusts ready to be put to use on a rack; versus at this location, they wait until the very minute they start to do an order, to prep the crusts. Another thing I feel needs improvement is the method of cooking their pizzas. Often times I’m left with a burnt crust or the bottom of the pizza is ashy. I really love the concept of Blaze Pizza but I wish they’d fix these flaws that this location unfortunately has.

Sadly I have to agree with some of the other reviews I’ve seen on here. I am a person with a profound love for pizza. However, this location has had me second guessing myself. I love that it’s affordable and customizable, but the I don’t like the idea of biting into a rock hard piece of burnt crust. I wish they’d fix this issue. It’s hit and miss. Sometimes I’ve gotten a great pizza and other times I’ve gone and gotten a pizza that’s very overcooked and hard to eat… literally. This location in particular is slow in service as well.

I’ve never been a pizza fan, but I came here for the first time for a Unilocal event and I had to come back. I finally had the chance to go back and I wasn’t disappointed my second time either! Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I remember the first time I tried this place and I didn’t see much sauce on my pizza and everything looked so minimal and simple, but when I took my first bite. OMG! I got a pack of flavors in my mouth! Everything was so good and seasoned so well. I absolutely love Blaze and I never really enjoyed pizza before! This is why I love Unilocal. They really make me try out different types of food that I wouldn’t usually go out for. The workers are friendly, but they don’t do much small talk. It also depends on who builds your pizza because one person can give you a lot of toppings and another would give a few. It’s a gamble, but I love that you can see your pizza in the making in front of your eyes. I usually get the green stripe and I customize it. I love the pesto chicken flavor. It tastes so flavorful and so fresh.

For $ 7.65 a pie, I am quite impressed. This is no Subway(thank God there are no microwaves, or at least that I saw). Yes, it is a bit like Chipotle but much more. Why? A blazing hot oven that infuses everything together. What a huge difference between places that simply assemble food for you, versus those that seek to really integrate the ingredients and create new, fresh, and winner combinations(like Blaze). I went the«Build Your Own» option and was interested in the Ovalini Mozzarella. When I asked what it was, they said it was a fresher type of mozzarella. They said when it was heated up, it had a very rich, stretchy texture. I was sold and got some, along with classic red sauce, sausage, canadian bacon, spinach, mushrooms, green peppers, and roasted garlic. When I got the pizza, it was very hot, thin crust, just the way I liked it. It was not burnt or anything of that sort. The first thing I noticed was the stretchy, gooey nature of the Ovalini. Really made it for me as the thin crust can make it like you are eating a piece of cracker bread. The cheese makes me believe I am eating a pizza. Everything integrated well, although I thank a previous reviewer not to get too much meat or it will seem salty. The freshly squeezed lemonade was good but very sweet, so I watered it down quite well. Good but not great, like the flavor of the ones at Lemonade better. #theYelp100Challenge2016

Quick and fun place to go to grab some tasty pizza! Ordered a pepperoni, black olive, and jalapeño pizza on gluten-free crust. The gf crust was thin, but cooked perfectly and about 6 good-size slices. There are three sauces and I chose the«classic sauce» which was somewhere in between tomato-y and garlic-y and wasn’t chunky which I love! The toppings which you choose from as you go down the line in a subway-style manner all looked fresh and plentiful. If they don’t put enough on your pizza, just politely ask for more! It took me about 5 minutes to go through the line, and about 10 minutes to get my pizza cooked – very reasonable for going on a Sunday at lunchtime if you ask me! They have a blood orange lemonade which is pretty sweet but different and also fresh squeezed lemonade which was good too. Need ranch with your pizza like me? Just ask one of the counter guys, he got me some and it was mighty tasty with my pizza.

The main issue here is everything except the food. Behind the counter seems a bit chaotic and disorganized– which can lead to the problems I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews(slow service/burnt pizza). My personal experience– the line was about 5 people ahead of me. It went by quickly. They slammed the ingredients on the dough(they don’t offer wheat and I’ve seen prettier pizzas). I went through the line and didn’t see an option for pesto– I asked at the end and they added it when my pizza came out. Pizza was cooked fast and wasn’t too hot when it came out– just right. Didn’t charge extra for ranch– yay! I hate the new modern cement and open roof style– it results in a super loud restaurant. They had what looked like a nice sized porch out back but it was raining. The lemonade was good. The blood orange was great! My pizza was super yummy– fresh ingredients– and everything I wanted. Will be back.

BF and I first tried Blaze in Dallas and we loved the concept. BF and I usually just get cheese pizza here but at this location they were pretty stingy with the shredded mozzarella. The BF’s pizza came out perfectly but my crust had a few burnt spots. The guy just kind of cut the burnt edges off. I wasn’t going to make a big deal because our friends gave us a BOGO free coupon and I wasn’t in the mood to wait for another pizza to be made. However our friends had to get one of their pizzas remade. We never had these issues back in Dallas but this location could work on the timing or cooking of the pizza better.

I got a coupon for a free Blaze pizza in the mail and thought I would try it out! I ended up doing the BYO(build your own) and enjoyed my pizza! I got a mix of ricotta, goat cheese, and ovaline mozzarella over red sauce. I chose green bell pepper, Italian sausage, sautéed onions, mushrooms, basil, spinach, oregano, and sea salt as my toppings. After the pizza came out, I had them finish it with some arugula. The pizza was pretty crispy and tasty. The toppings were not overly salty. I also didn’t have to wait long as the line was moving pretty steadily. I also think that $ 7.95 is a reasonable amount to charge for a personal pizza. I enjoyed my experience and will be a repeat customer!

I thought the owners were very friendly but the counter people look a little harried and are not exactly attention to detail. They just scatter the toppings and don’t really lay stuff neatly. It’s nice having an affordable pizza but the crust is soft and so I think I like MOD pizza better. They are very affordable which is a plus. I always do a custom pizza as typically the recommended pizzas are always missing something that I want.

Oh Blaze. How you have slowly disappointed me. So I’ve been here several times and I feel like as time progresses quality is becoming more poor. My gluten free pizza always comes out mildly burnt. But today has got to be the worse case. It was so burnt and toasted I could make a beat by tapping the crust on the plate. Check out my video I took. My peeps get the normal crust and at times get burnt edges as well. The person that slices the pizza tends to cut the edges off but still I wish they wouldn’t come out mildly burned to begin with. I feel like service is slower as well. When they first opened they had more pep in their step. I hope things change back.

Finally, a place where I can successfully build a pizza that personifies schizophrenia at the affordable price of $ 8. As others have said, this is the«Chipotle» of pizza joints. The only difference to me is that Blaze is actually GOOD! I am so indecisive that it’s off-putting. Blaze is okay with this. In fact, I don’t really need to choose anything at Blaze; I just get everything I want. Half tomato sauce with meat and arugula drizzled with pesto on one half to feed my love handles — half alfredo and pesto sauce with all veggies and goat cheese on the other half to pretend I’m still on a diet. All this and more for $ 8? Uh, yes please. The service is better than you’d expect with so many young adults behind the counter. Bravo to the staff for being fast, being thorough, always smiling, and for putting on a professional visage. This type of work ethic is rare to see in most young people let alone a whole crew. Before you pay at the register, DON’T FORGET to order the S’more Cookie. Actually, get two… or three. Ask them to warm it up for you. I dare you to not shove the whole melty, toasty, marshmallowy, chocolaty sandwich cookie in your mouth all at once. Oomph… I thought about it so hard I think I gained a pound. Delicious pizza with unlimited toppings. Top notch counter service. F’ing good s’more cookies. I’m not sure what you’re waiting for, but you’d better hurry up and get there before you’re stuck in line behind someone like me trying to build a 10 minute masterpiece out of pizza toppings.

Nice thin crust and fresh out of the oven just the way you like it! I went there on a Friday night and it was packed. The line was out the door, which means I’m walking into this place with high expectations. I picked up a menu and to my surprise, it’s not your traditional pizza places. Yes, they have some preset pizzas, but what really stood out was the«build your own pizza». It’s like subways or chiptole, but it’s for pizza! What an innovative idea — I love it! For $ 7.65, you get personal sized pizza and add all the toppings you would like. Is this a deal or what? If you want gluten free, it’s an additional $ 3 which isn’t bad. They are fast(~3 minutes) and efficient. After it comes out of the oven, you can decide to top it off with arugula, pesto, and a few other toppings at no additional cost. That was very considerate of them to throw in there at the end. FYI — I love meats on my pizza, but don’t add all the meats or else your pizza will be extremely SALTY! Tip: You can purchase a $ 30 gift card and receive a free personal sized pizza — great deal that you can’t pass on!

Freshly made just the way you like it! You would thinking personalizing a pizza would take a while, but the assembly line they have at Blaze makes sure you get your pizza in the most fresh and quick manner. They fast fire the pizza in just 3 minutes, so it’s not too long of a wait. This place seems pretty popular, came for lunch again today and it was packed! It reminds me of Subway, but it’s for pizza and has many more staff working to prepare your food.

I love eating Blaze’s pizzas. That being said, I don’t love waiting ages for them… hence the three stars. I’ve been here numerous times on weeknights and weekends both, and the line is deceptively slow. With only 8 people in front of me, it was 40+ minutes from walk-in to pizza-in-mouth! There were only 3 people working on pizza assembly, one working the oven, and one running around in the background trying to be cashier and a general gopher. The employees on assembly were super nice, and suuuuuper slow. There’s no way they could survive lunch hour at Chipotle like that. Each topping was so painstakingly arranged. And yet, other experiences indicate that the problem is simply that they’re short-staffed. We walked in a few days ago to pick up an online order(which is pre-assembled and popped in the oven once you arrive). We waited for someone to come to the cash register. We waited for our pizzas to cook. One got so badly burnt we asked for it to be re-made. The other was slapped down next to about 8 other pizzas with the cutter frantically trying to keep up. We finally had to speak up and point out our completed pizzas because it kept getting passed over. The total time from walking in the door to out of the door was 25 minutes — not impressive for a place that sells themselves as «fast fired pizza» and pushes online ordering. Their model simply requires them to have at least one more person working during busy hours. That’s great that the pizza cooks in 3 minutes, but if it takes me 30 to order and it sits there for another 5 before it’s cut, I’ll pass. The pizzas themselves are pretty good. The crusts are pretty thin with not too much rise, and you can see from the various pizzas turning out how some of them have loftier crusts than others. However, one of the strengths is definitely the topping selection — tons of meats, cheeses, veggies, and finishes to choose from. It would be nice to see them offer a larger sized pizza(I always seem to be donating 1 – 2 slices to my husband) and a faster moving line at some point. Fun joint, solid food, but it’s only«A-OK», as the slowest«fast casual» restaurant I’ve ever been to.

Thank you Unilocal event for introducing me to something that I would probably never had tried if it was not for the elite even a month ago. Neat cafeteria production line concept, you get in line, tell t hem which sauce out of a choice of three(traditional, spicy and white), then you go through the gauntlet choices of adding whichever choices of cheese that you want on top(about 6 choices) until you get down to the meats and vegetables which not short of pepperoni, canadian bacon(ham right?), sausage, chopped garlic, whole roasted garlic, black olvies, basil, spnich, jalapenos, sliced cherry tomatoes, red onions and the list goes on. After you pay you make your way to the soda fountain machine and in about 12 minutes your name is called, ding ding ding come and get it! They do have the usual dining room of course but it’s always noisy but I’m going to tell you a secret that everybody and their brothers know about here, there is a little pond in the back with ducks and some huge square boulders lining the other side. I think Tracey S(call out!) told me it’s called Grant’s Lake… but my memory… well you know. It’s nice out there and has about a dozen tables for you to choose to rest your romp. A setback that reeks here is sometimes there are«those companies» that like to take over the whole place and limit you to the dining room, oh well, first world problems right? Everything is still great though, not to deter any craving moments you might have. The pizza price is about $ 9 with tax, drinks and batteries not included, no assembly required.

Blaze is great for the concept, which is basically Chipotle except for pizza. Unlimited toppings and you can customize it however you want. Red sauce and white sauce together? Half pepperoni and sausage and half pesto veggie? Whatever you can dream up, you got it! And all for the same price of ~$ 8. When you go in, you pick a personal sized crust(normal or gluten free) and move down the line. My friend recommended the red sauce and white sauce together but to be honest I couldn’t really taste it once it baked up. Then you get to pick your cheese. I love that they have fresh(ovalini) mozzarella and ricotta, yum! And then come the meat toppings and veggie toppings. Some standouts are Italian sausage and turkey meatball, and roasted garlic and zucchini. Then they bring it to the oven to bake, which I think takes 3 minutes(super fast!). When it comes out, you have the option of topping it off with olive oil, pesto, BBQ sauce, and/or fresh arugula. The downside is that if you have a lot of toppings, the super thin crust will not hold up well and will get soggy. I didn’t have THAT many toppings on mine but it was still soggy :/. This location is nice because there’s a back patio that overlooks a lake :). There’s a nice pathway that you can take a walk on after dinner!

Kudos to making your own pizza! This is my kind of place. Toppings galore and vegan cheese that’s actually worth eating. Their aesthetics fit. Nice patio in the back, with a pretty decent view of the water, although the scenery looks unfinished, but that’s a city of Sugar Land problem. Clean establishment and nice staff. Score! Their pizza is quite good. Being vegan, it’s rare that you’ll find a place that’ll have good or even mediocre pizza, but they’ve succeeded. Lots of toppings and they’re all fresh. Everything from grilled onions to pineapples. Nice cheese selections too. If you’re on a special diet or allergic to any foods, I’d recommend asking them to change their gloves, especially if they’re prepping someone’s else’s pizza beforehand. They may not change them if you don’t ask. If I had to nitpick, that would be my biggest gripe. My smallest gripe would be the mini cups they give you for drinking water. They’ll refuse to give you a bigger cup if you’re not buying soda and I rarely drink so or juice, so prepare yourself to go back and forth refilling your tiny plastic cup. Overall, I must say, I really enjoyed their pizza! If you’re vegan or not, I would definitely recommend coming here. The location is obscure, but once you find it, you’ll have a hard time forgetting it’s there!

It’s not so much that the pizza is amazing or anything that this place warrants a 4 star, but it’s because of it’s innovative approach to making fast and personalized pizza. The whole idea of Blaze Pizza is to do it Chipotle style where you go down the line and tell them what you want on your pizza, and they make it and then fire it up on their oven for you in approximately 2 minutes. This is great because you can pick and choose exactly what you want and really make it your own, especially for 1 flat rate. Food: So the pizza only comes in a thin crust(still waiting for that stuffed crust option!), but for a thin crust, it’s not bad. You can choose between a red or white sauce, then you get to pick your meat, and then vegetables/other toppings. They have a great variety of toppings to choose from; everything from turkey sausage, to basil and pineapple chunks. Then you can choose if you want to add any spices like oregano on it. When they fire it up in the oven, you can see them place it in the fire brick oven and watch it being cooked. Price: The other reason I really like this place is because it’s so cheap! it’s around $ 7 for a pizza, which, if you’re hungry is definitely enough if you pile it on. It’s a flat rate to build your own pizza, so you can put on as many toppings as you want without any extra charge. If you like things simple and only want 1 topping, or no toppings, you can actually get a pizza for $ 5. But for the food you get at that price, it’s awesome! Service: so they do cook the pizza pretty quickly, so you’re not waiting too long for the pizza, but what does take some time is when they’re assembling your pizza. They have to write your name down and then as you ask for the toppings, they have to hand place it on there, and some items, they have to rip it up to put it on there, so it does take some time. But outside of that, the workers there are pretty cordial and very nice. Atmosphere: They do have room for you to sit down and eat right then and there, but they also do have boxes for you to take your pizza home if you so choose. They have ample seating room and parking as well, so that’s always a plus. You’re not fighting everyone or starring awkwardly at someone until they leave so you can grab a seat. Overall, I had a pretty great experience and would definitely come back here again when I’m craving pizza!

Very good pizza… very fast. My son and I cane here yesterday and were greeted kindly and given the simple rundown on how the place works… First, choose your crust reg or gluten free, then your«base» sauce and cheese(they have VEGAN cheese, awesome!). The load up!!! Put as much or as little on as you desire. I had the goat cheese and reg sauce, mozz cheese and a bunch of spinach and some basil and roasted garlic. It was pretty tasty. My 10 year old also loved the concept. And it only takes them like 5 mins to bake your pizza up! Yay for Blaze! Will be back!
