Service: FAILED. I ordered to go online last night(Weds) for today’s dinner on Thursday night. I called today at 5:30pm to see if it was ready. The lady had to go find the manager for the status of my order. The manager wasn’t the friendliest either but that wasn’t an issue. When I got there, the greeter or host greeted me kindly. I went to the bar to pick up my order of 2 steak dinners(a cowboy and the filet with lobster hollandaise medium rare) and a calamari appetizer. There was 1 person at the bar. The bartender greeted me, grabbed my bag, plopped it in front of me with the bill and walked away. The salads were falling out of the bag. They tried to cram my entire order in the bag. No one made sure I was ok with my order. I just checked everything myself and then walked out. No one said a word. Mind you the restaurant was not packed. This is my second time here and I wasn’t impress the first time either. Food: pretty good. I had the medium rare filet with lobster hollandaise in asparagus with calamari appetizer and Cesar salad and sweet potatoes. No complaints on the food. Overall: to me, it’s all or none. Good food bad service equals I’m probably not coming back anytime soon. Bad service is such unappetizing. I can get better service and on par steaks for that price elsewhere.

We had an exhausting day of shopping for something special. We started around 11AM. We were tired and aggregated at our last stop. We decided to stop and grab some food and a couple of drinks. We walked in and they were on a wait. We went straight to bar to grab a seat unwind and eat. Our bartender was awesome. She was full of energy and gave us amazing service. Her name was Geneveve? Not sure on the spelling. She is younger brown long hair and funny. I recommend skipping getting a table and get the full service with her at the bar. Food was great and even if it was bad the service was great enough to return. She suggested a drink called the Moscow something and it was great!

Foods pretty decent here. However each time we come to this location the service are sub par. Today we came for lunch and with the restaurant pretty empty it’s amazing how long it took for the waitress to even bring us some bread. Funny enough we had to ask for it when people who came before and after us all got some.

Great and fast service. Friendly staff. Would definitely come here more often. The atmosphere is quiet and the mood is pretty nice.

I try not to be harsh. And I know this isn’t an upscale steakhouse. But seriously… terrible. I went on a weeknight Thursday evening around 7:30. Half empty which is fine ordered the ribeye bone in medium, loaded potato, garden salad. Okay so let’s get to the problems. First the steak was cooked done perfectly medium as ordered but NOSEASONING. Literally no flavor which is sad because it was a great cut. Baked potato was mediocre and the salad was iceberg lettuce which I’m not a fan of but I digress. Season the meat. MYBIGGESTPROBLEM though was the service I sat in the bar area. Closer to the kitchen. They started mopping the floor, were singing, dancing and walking around talking to each other LOUDLY. While there were other guests besides myself sitting there. No host at the door. Texting on the phone while bringing food or other items to tables. I mean it was a total hang out spot and I saw a guy who looked like a manager but I’m not sure. Either way no one was acting with any authority or decorum the entire hour and a half I was there. Never going back. I’d rather pay Perry’s and pay for quality service.

First time dinning at this chain. I preferred it over other causal steakhouses(Outback, Saltgrass). Good food!

Overall I was pretty happy with this place. You get a sizable amount of good food at a decent price. I had the ribs and they were pretty good. Service was fine and the place seems nice and clear. Interestingly I had been to the I-10 location about a month before and found the Mac & Cheese much better there… here was just average. I don’t like that they nickle and dime you on things… «oh, you want the mac & cheese as a side… that will be an extra $ 1.»

It was my first time here at longhorn. I ordered the prime rib(rare) which came out just right but it was chewy. My son ordered the burger, I don’t know why but they wouldn’t do it medium rare. Medium only, but he said it was to dry. My daughter has the 6 ounce filet and it came out well done. We sent it back… We wanted it medium rare. They rushed the next order and it came out little bit rare but she was hungry and ate it fast. My dad ordered the rib eye and it looked little bit over cooked but he didn’t complain. The décor of this place was southern style and the cow head over the bar was cool. It looked like it was a pretty cow. I probably would come back to try it again but there is so many steak place in Houston that it wouldn’t be in my top choice to have steak. The pricing is fairly reasonable for steak but if you like it ., keep coming back.

This place is probably the best«chain» steak house I have ever been to. I got the ribeye and it was really really good. I got a 16 oz ribeye, loaded baked potato, and a Caesar salad for 18.99. Lots of food and really well prepared. Also they serve wheat bread for free and it’s tasty. Highly recommend for a casual date or friends looking for a reasonably priced steak.

Short Review: –Food, Good to slightly above average(«Just letting you know, we’re out of our house Bread for the evening») –Service: Negative 2 Stars.(Stay away from M*** *). –Environment: Average, great décor and«appearance of cleanliness» –Actual Cleanliness: 3 out of the 4 people in my party had dirty silverware. Longer Rant: First off, the service… Ill start off by saying i know there’s a racial bias that asians do not tip well, so perhaps that’s why the server decided to give my family and I the worst service we’ve ever encountered, or maybe he was just feeling tired or simply didn’t want to be there, whatever the case I thought I was on MTV-punk’d or something. No apologies for the lack of house bread, just stating matter of fact that they didn’t have any bread and that was the end of it,(again, M*** *), no apologizes for our dirty silverware(large orange stain on one knife, pieces of lettuce on one fork, and what appeared to be dried up cheese on another), *however, a female manager(I assume she was the manager), did come to our table and apologize to us and gave us a free appetizer, I wish i had caught her name as she made the overall experience from a 1 star to a 2 star for me. To continue on the service, M***, would roll his eyes, sigh under his breath, clumisly hit our cups and plates and spilling our water when he «set them on the table,» and«refilled our glasses»(only one time did I get a refill and that was with flagging him down). I even thought that it was perhaps our body language that had offended him so I tried saying«thank» you when he got our order, gave us our appetizer, took our dirty silverware away, brought our dinner, etc. etc. and not once did I hear«you’re welcome» or any sort of acknowledgement that I wasn’t his enemy. Actual food? Not bad honestly. Green tomatoes was good, steak was cooked to requested temperature, side items were the mac and cheese, baked potato, and corn on the cob which were all very tasty. Don’t know if anyone read the longer rant, and I apologize, but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had and I will not be returning here anytime soon.

We came here for dinner tonight. We were greeted with a smile by the hostess. Our waiter was okay — but the food was very good My NY Strip was cooked a perfect medium and full of flavor. My spouse ordered a ribeye which came to the table slightly undercooked but the staff immediately corrected it Overall it was a good dining experience

As always our service was remarkable. We always are treated like family. However tonight’s waitress was the best so far… and that’s hard to do because they are all amazing. Vanessa made our visit so enjoyable. Lots of special attention and good conversation. She had terrific suggestions and was very friendly and attentive. As always our food was delicious. Can’t say enough about the lobster bisque and the flos steak. I’m a fan of this establishment. It was the first place I ate when I moved to Texas and now it’s on my top two list of places to eat. Lunch or dinner, you won’t be disappointed. Dan, the manager, runs a tight ship. He is an amazing manager, from the customers perspective! Come here and enjoy a good time.

I decide to come here late for dinner. I ordered the ribeye with a loaded potato and ceasar salad. I didn’t even taste the salad since my bf decided to eat it for me. I asked for well done and my steak was actually medium well. I told the waiter but they seemed bothered. The steak was good but I rather go to other places. I love garlic butter and the one they gave me was basically just butter. What’s the point of saying garlic if they only give me melted butter!!! The potato was good but no chilli. I would come back if some one picked but not as my choice.

First… server brought out half loaf of bread… really. We both ordered 11oz ribeye. I dIdn’t care for it at all… compared to the Roadhouse 10oz ribeye which is much more flavorful. I ordered medium rare but it came out more rare. The bread is not as good as Roadhouse either… their rolls are much better. She later returned and stated to grab my half eaten streak and potato without asking… I had to stop her. We just thought to give these guys a try because we ate Roadhouse fans… now we no why.

I am dining alone tonight and I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender said she’d be right with me, then she came back around a couple minutes later to pour a beer I asked if she had the menu or should I have brought one, she SNAPPED at me, «I said I’ll be right with you!» So I sat and watched what she was doing, she was pouring drinks, making drinks, waiting on the entire bar including booths that didn’t seem like the bar. All this wasn’t more than 10 minutes but her attitude was horrible, never looking or caring about me and growling at me with a sideways glance. So I moved to the restaurant but just getting seated itself was an episode of too much effort. Then at my table the neophyte waitress passed right by me on her way somewhere not even looking my direction. Ok when she does take my order she sits in the booth and takes my order, is this the Longhorn way? I’ve eaten at this chain once or twice I don’t know their style of service are we BFF’s, is she a baby, does Longhorn teach this? So then the salad arrives and she asks then would I like bread, yes young lady by now I’m really hungry so, «Why not?» I say. I had the 6oz sirloin medium-rare which my BFF told me sitting in the booth, was«pink in the middle are you wanting that?» But when it came out looking like a filet mignon and deep purple I almost gasped, so yes I sent it back for more cooking. By now the manger had apologized ok… Then the steak comes out still looking purplish, they ask is that okay my response, «Yes it’s fine.» Thoughts are gosh they might do something to my food if I send it back, this service represent unprofessionalism. Then I had to wait for my check just a bit too long. Décor is Texas King Ranch beautiful, it’s Sugar Land new and shiny but folks… this place needs a well seasoned MANAGER who understands that rather than walking the floor asking everyone, «How’s everything?» He should be rolling up his sleeves and helping out that rude bartender, also staffing with enough servers so we don’t have to wonder where our waiter is and making sure the cooks know how to stick a thermometer in a steak for proper preparation. I was going to Outback but saw this place leaving Academy Sports next door. I doubt corporate or anyone reads these reviews or they would also roll up their sleeves and make some changes most of these reviews are bad now I know why!

In spite of the 2.5 star review here on Unilocal,my very fussy-eater friend wanted to go with a steakhouse, so off we went. Normally I’d be put off by such low ratings, but i’m so glad I wasn’t for this place! I have absolutely NO idea why this place has such bad reviews — normally i’m all on board with the Unilocalers, but I just don’t get this! The place is clean and«warm», it was busy(Sunday lunch), and the staff were very welcoming to us. We were sat quickly, our server came and got us drinks quickly and brought us some delicious warm crusty bread. We ordered the Texas Tonion(ridiculous name by the way), which were ok, not as good as a bloomin’ onion, but really, what is? It was an interesting interpretation, something a little different — props for trying — and it wasn’t bad, just didn’t rock my world y’know? I had the trout, with mac and cheese and a salad. The«steakhouse» mac and cheese rocked. It was delicious! Salad was like all other salads(nothing hugely impressive like TX Roadhouse with their egg-addition). The trout was tasty, too oily for my taste, but again, not offensive. Hubby had the chicken fried chicken and he said it was excellent. Portions were generous. We left stuffed! Picky friend had the broccoli cheese soup and said it was a 3* kinda deal for her. We sat after lunch and talked for HOURS. Our server refilled drinks even after he’d given us the check, so we upped his tip for extra great service! I’d go back here for sure :)
