Service used to be great but since they change management things are not done right. After taking my car for years, now they told me they cannot do my oil service on my 335 because they don’t know how to reset the light.

Well I’ve been going here rarely. But I’ve been going here since Sunday to get an aftermarket parts for my car. Very helpful, but kind of rude. When I got there since sunday, no one helped me, no one was around so I had to look at everything I need by looking around for a good 10 minutes. The employees looked at me and not even asked if I need anything. So 1 day I had to get right parts helped and told me to leave after. but I got my stuff I needed but will not come back, unless I really need to.

I got the part that I wanted(brake caliper) very quickly. The only problem I had here is that the cashier was very impatient and extremely unprofessional. He was not rude, but just seemed to servery lack professionalism. I asked him if there was any brake/caliper grease available and he just pointed me to a little rack by the register and just told me that any of those greases would work. Also, when I asked if there was any warranty, he legitimately said«I don’t know,» and shrugged his shoulders. Anyways, I returned my old part two days later and got my core back. The lady who processed my core refund was very nice and professional. Management, please inform your younger employees to act like professionals and treat customers with respect.

I brought my car over here knowing that my starter was no good. They took a look at it and told me my battery was bad, me not knowing too much about cars, I told them to replace the battery(after replacing it 6 months ago prior to this). After the battery was replaced, I drove it home to find out the problem was still happening. I brought it back to take a look at it again and finally told me it was the starter. They wanted to charge me for diagnostic($ 89.99) even after I paid for a new battery when I didn’t have too. It seems like nobody knows what was happening to my car. I don’t think these people are professionals at all. Take your car else where. MIKETATES is where I used to take my car, but they were a little bit expensive, now I know why. I should have paid more instead of going in circles with these so called technicians.

Update: Since the previous review, I made a complaint on Pep Boy’s website and have been contacted and apologized by the store manager. He assured me that they do not condone making pushy sales until they have completely figured out the real problem. I appreciate being helped by honest and sincere people and right now they are not bad in my books. Thanks to him, this experience turned from bad to good. Hopefully this particular employee gets retrained on how to serve customers better.
