I love this roast beef! It is the best roast beef sandwich I have ever had. I’m originally from St. Louis where there are a few Lions Choices. And it is the only restaurant I miss from there. I eat at Lions Choice every chance I get. On the way to visit family in St. Louis I stop here for lunch. The food is great as always. The roast beef is a little pink, served on a buttered bun. A wheat bun with no butter can be had for health nuts. Just ask. Also on request they will make the roast beef well done for you. I was up hauled at the review comparing the price of a $ 9 combo meal to Taco Bell. Really? If you want cheap low grade meat get a taco from Taco Bell. If you want a delicious sandwich it’s the best 9 bucks you will ever spend on a combo meal.
The location of the restaurant is great. Right next to a gas station and highway 44. Making it a great pit stop. The rest room has always been clean.
The dining area has always been clean as well. It has booths as well as tables and chairs. You fill your own drinks. So refills before you leave are no problem. They have standard fountain sodas. Sweet tea and plain tea. Cut lemons out to put in your tea. (The sweet tea is my favorite it’s warm in the tank so get plenty of ice.) As well as steaming hot aus ju out for you to help yourself too. Another cool thing about this one is they bring the food to your table.
For the kids they offer smaller sandwiches, grilled cheese and hot dogs that I can remember. Just good food. No toys.
I’m getting hungry writing this. Wish I didn’t live so far.
Update. I just ordered a King sandwich meal with a small fry and drink. No problem like a previous reviewer.

This was my first time eating at a Lions Choice. My husband is a huge fan and convinced me I just had to have it. I have to say, it definitely puts Arby’s to shame. The meat was fresh and tender and they put a salt seasoning of some sort on it which was delicious. Our buns were plain jane and i think a different bread really could’ve made the sandwich. The meat did however leave a strange aftertaste. All in all, a pretty good fast food joint. It’s definitely worth stopping in at least once!

Super yummy!!! Put Arby’s roast beef to shame! Fries were hot and fresh, and the restaurant was clean.

I went, I ate, it was delicious and clean. No staff complaints and no issues with this specific location.
My problem is, I paid $ 9 for a meal!!! What the hell! When did Lion’s Choice start serving gold and platinum on a bun! I ordered the large roast beef meal. I didn’t really want large fries or drink, but that’s how I had to do it to get the large sandwich. Wow, it was so little food for so much!!! I could have hit the Taco Bell and bought food for me AND my wife!!! This is still freaking fast food, it IS NOT a sit-​down restaurant, it SHOULD NOT be that pricey!
Again, this is not a staffing issue, it’s a corporate issue. I think I just went to a Lion’s Choice for the last time…*sigh*
