On July 3rd I decided to buy a Fuji xpro 1. I called B&H but when they told me It couldn’t be shipped until Monday I decided to try a local store. I called photo summit. Spoke with Larry and told him what I was looking for. He got Bret on the phone and not only did they best BH Photo deal but uploaded the current firmware. Great service and really nice people

This place is the worst. Firstly they are much more expensive than B&H on everything they sell. Secondly they will steer you towards buying inferior products like Tamron Lenses (junk) and no-​name flashes. Thirdly if something breaks forget about it, they will distance themselves from it as much as possible.
The only real reason to go into this store is if you want to see a lens on your camera. Go in there, try it out and then go buy at B&H you will get the product cheaper, pay no sales tax AND get MUCH better customer service in case something went wrong.
I always am a big fan of supporting the local retail places, but currently i am going through a mess with a Tamron lens that they sold me. The lens broke in the middle of a photo shoot and was a manufacturers defect. I emailed the store and they told me that I need to deal with Tamron directly. I called Tamron and they are blaming it to shock damage, which is not the case. Stay away from Tamron as well as Photo Summit.

Miserable customer service. Pseudo-​techy attitude. Rude and money hungry. One would expect to go to a photo shop vs. a CVS to get some service in the professional development of images; we have tried them out and our recommendation is to try your luck at a CVS, at least you won’t pay the high prices they command. One would be crazy to buy a camera there vs. online or at a large electronics shop…
