First time in and I came in to make a to go order. I got the cinnamon roll french toast meal so amazing if you like sweet thing is a great choice. I also took home a large cinnamon roll. That thing is huge and so good. What a great little eatery in a cute town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast there today. I ordered a half order of the farmer’s hobo hash. I still couldn’t finish my meal. I ended up having to take it home. The owner took time to speak with me about her love of the city and also gave me a sample of her homemade cinnamon rolls. And did not charge me for the homemade cinnamon roll which was very yummy. I will return to try other items on her menu.

I live within 5 minutes of this café and did not hear about it until I read a post in the EMF Watercooler Facebook page. Had to try it out and was amazed. This family owned café offers a nice variety of lunch and breakfast meals available at all hours. Both of our breakfasts were superb. Everything is cooked to order so you can customize each dish. I was waited on by Mignon — the owner. Our meals were delivered by her husband Michael. It is so nice to support family entrepreneurs. This is our new go-to daytime restaurant. Highly recommended.

First time at this restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Our breakfast was fantastic! Bring your appetite because the portions are huge! My husband and I ordered half sizes and still took home left overs. The service was also excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be back!

This place is Devine! They have two sizes of cinnamon rolls. The small is about 3″ x 3“x 2″! You can just imagine how big the large cinnamon roll is. My eggs were cooked effect and the bacon was crispy. The staff was quick and friendly!

EXCELLENT as always!!! We stopped in for Valentines breakfast. The place was hopping busy as usual. Even with a line and waiting list, they had us seated in less than 15 minutes. I ordered the Seaside Crab Benedict and it was phenomenal as usual(I also love their Florentine Omelette). The hubby upgraded his toast to their delicious homemade cinnamon roll. Review would be a 5 star, but they deep fry their home fries(I prefer mine grilled), and the flavor and texture are just not the same. Mignon’s is a 40 min drive for me, but if I have the time, it is my first choice!

Good experience all around. If you’re looking for a quiet yet tasty breakfast joint this is it! We came in on a week day in the late morning and what appeared to be «the usuals» were gathered but it wasn’t overly crowded and we didn’t even have to wait to be seated. Its a cozy spot in down town Sumner and has a homey feel to it. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and said that he really enjoyed the sausage gravy. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with Eggs. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the salty goodness of the hash was exactly what I had been craving. I think that the quality of the food is fantastic. They dont try to distract you with overly large portion sizes because you are going to be impressed with the food itself. In fact my husband and I both ate every last bite of our food. What I like the MOST about this place is that they serve all of their breakfast items the entire time they are open. So on those lazy mornings I dont feel like cooking brunch we will be heading down to Mignons!

This place is wonderful! We went for breakfast, and the food was just amazing! Service was friendly, the only downside is the interior of the place. Which is why I only gave my experience a 4 star. Everything in there was just so close to each other, felt like I was cramped in there. We were initially going to take a table downstairs that was in the back near the machine but it was just too close their beverage station and it was very very dark, so we asked to go upstairs which I didn’t know they had for seating. Though there is lighting more towards the front where the windows are. We settled into a booth, and the ambience just was not welcoming at all. Though the servers were friendly. Potatoes were cooked just right, and they serve a very generous portion. It was good enough for us to come back again, we just won’t be sitting downstairs.

Great omelette and great service! We sat upstairs and were surprised at the cool spot at top of stairs. Half order omelette is just the right size. Highly recommend this. It captures the quaintness of the town. Hash browns were real hash browns. And I like my hash browns!

This is one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. It was game day, so I went with the Seahawks scramble. Eggs, potatoes, ham, green pepper, onion and cheese. Everything was well prepared and the service was great. They also have to die for cinnamon rolls. Can’t wait to go back.

It wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. My husband got the corn beef hash plate, which was super under seasoned. I got the cinnamon roll french toast. I was not impressed. I hated that the french toast was dredged in cinnamon sugar and it was still wet in some places… no bueno. I’ve definitely had the same dish at other places and it was way better.

A friend of mine and I were trying to find a middle ground for each of us to have breakfast. She lives in Buckley and I live in Kent. We choose you Mignon’s! Upon first walking in, I didn’t really know where to stand. There were people in the ‘foyer’… are they paying? waiting in line? do I walk past them? I did not see a sign that said wait to be served… so i wandered(passing 5 folks) to the bar to see if there was something there, nope. But a server passed me and took one group upstairs… Oh… so I was supposed to wait there! While I did that, another couple squeezed in line in front of me! DARN! so I waited for another server to come back. I said 2 for a table, and she had me wait for a place to be cleaned. When it was, she walked us upstairs and we were seated right near the top of the stairs! ((YEA! I like this spot! I quickly said thank you to the couple that stepped in line ahead of me!)) A server came over to get our drinks and then the owner came by to check on us, we had said neither of us had been there and she quickly asked if we were allergic to cinnamon… uhh… no. She proceeded to serve us a cinnamon roll with butter and glaze. Yummmy!(That was awesome!) I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy and my friend ordered one of the hashs. We were both pleased. I actually asked for more gravy as I felt the ratio of toasty biscuit to gravy needed to be bumped up a notch. The service was great. The atmosphere was lovely. I would like to return… even to just go over the Sumner bridge or visit the Old Cannery.

Best breakfast place in Sumner, by far. Every time I go anywhere else in Sumner I regret it because the food is just never near as good as as Mignons. Not to mention the owners take customer feedback very seriously and respond to customers diligently, and with a genuine interest in how they can better serve each customer. Just all around extremely impressed with the high level of customer service my boyfriend and I have received from this restaurant, you just can’t beat great food and great service that caters to the customers so thoroughly.

Excellent breakfast and very good, friendly service. We ordered the homemade, boysenberry cinnamon roll(I’m GF and couldn’t eat it but my BF said it was yummy!), a mushroom + cheddar + ham omelet w hash browns and the B.A.C.(bacon, avocado, cheese) omelet w country fries and some coffee x2. We loved the little table by the front window and felt like we were in our own little bubble looking outside. Cannot wait to go back and try more on the menu.

Every once in a while my wife and I have a day off together during the week. We take our daughter to school, then go find a nice neighborhood diner and have breakfast together. This time we went to Mignon’s. We must have hit it at just the right time because there were only a few people there. We were seated, and I got a cup of very good coffee(first star). We looked over the menu at the variety of things to choose from. They had all the usual breakfast standards, and several unique items as well. When going to a neighborhood diner for the first time, I always get the chicken fried steak. You can tell a lot about a place by how they do the simple things. The steak was breaded nicely, and fried perfectly with no extra grease. My eggs were exactly how I requested them, and the hash browns were crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside(second star). Their gravy was a bit of velvety deliciousness(third star). Our server was the owner. She was attentive, but didn’t hover. She talked to us occasionally, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She kept my coffee cup full, and had our check ready when we were done(forth star). I’d just like to add something. A family with a young girl came in just after us. The child was very shy, and little uneasy. Mignon started talking to the child about how her girl sometimes came in to work with her, and showed the girl her apron. Mignon, ask the little girl if she wanted to wear the apron, and the little girl really liked that. Mignon even told the girl she could keep the apron, and bring it back the next time they came in. Obviously Mignon didn’t need to do this, but it says a lot about an owner that genuinely cares about the people that come into her establishment.(five, six, and seven star). I have a feeling this place can get really busy on a weekend, and if so, it would be worth the wait.

I walked in looking to grab and go but sat down and looked over the menu and thought I would stay to eat. I am glad I did. I met the owner of the restaurant and she was wonderful. Talk about customer service! Now the food was even better. I had their dirty biscuit. It’s like a spicy biscuit and gravy, topped with eggs. Just the right amount of kick. I also had to try the cinnamon roll. The buttery flakey goodness was amazing. It was a great experience. Might be one of my regular Sunday breakfast spots!

I’m from out of town, and needed a good spot for breakfast. I looked at the expansive menu, and decided the«Big Chicken» Fried Steak would fit the bill. Their homemade gravy was so delicious, and it topped two breaded steaks that had a glorious crispness to it. The pancakes were large, fluffy and served with rich butter and syrup. I’ve had chicken fried steak in at least 35 states, and this is far and away the best I’ve ever had, and the pancakes would’ve merited an honorable mention in my Unilocal Hall of Fame. The prices seem reasonable, I’ve paid more and gotten less, and coupled with the excellent service eating here is a bargain. The seating here is ample for large groups, but I was here on a Tuesday morning. As good as this breakfast was, I’d expect to wait for a table on a weekend.

First off I have to say. this was a great little find. I love the little town of Sumner. It’s really cute. I fished the reviews on Unilocal and decided to stop in since it was a strong 4 stars. I love me some good BIG food, and from what I read and saw. this would be the place. I walked in. went up to the bar. sat down next to another couple who was talking to a woman who was working there. I found out she was the owner and jumped in on the convo. She is Mignon Suave! This young lady took over the restaurant about 5 months ago from the previous people who weren’t taking care of business. Since she had already been working there, so she decided it was worth taking over and running it for her very own. It’s youthful ownership, and she’s doing a good job reviving it. Right now they are just open for breakfast and lunch. She’s working on alternate nights sometime in the future, but for now. no dinner, so keep a look out. Things are changing for the better. If you’ve had poor service previously, please don’t hold it against the new owner. She would love to have you back or at least talk to with you to make things right. Stop in. she’s a lovely person. The food. wow! I didn’t know what to order it all looked so wonderful. The couple I sat next to ordered their meals. The man received a roast beef sandwich that was no ordinary sandwich. It was huge and plenty of meat on the roll. Not just an ordinary roll either. She ordered a Cobb salad at that thing was a beast. Looked fantastic and it was huge. I was going to consider that as an option. Well I stuck with breakfast faire. It came out in a decent amount of time. There was steady business there and just one main server plus the owner who worked the bar and on the floor when she could, but they were getting it done regardless. It’s a small establishment mom and pop style. Overall it cost me $ 11.99 plus tax. Nothing was overly priced on the menu and they offer some daily specials on the wall just as you walk in on your right. Good job Mignon Suave! It was a pleasure talking with you and your friends today. I hope my review will allow others who’s previous experiences left them feeling like it was a less then stellar place to reconsider coming back under your ownership. I hope they do!
