Checkers

If I could give zero I would. I was very excited to see this Checkers open close to me. And I’ve gone 5 times total now. The opening weekend was great. Food WAS fresh and I was happy.
That quickly changed. The last 4 times I have been to this Checkers has been a huge let down. Cold food. Hard buns, chili dogs with cold chili and hard buns, Soggy fries have quickly turned me off to this location.
And that is IF they can get the order right. I’m not sure what’s going on. I speak perfect English and some how they get my order wrong almost every time I’ve gone. It’s one thing to mess up an order and give a guy fresh food. But don’t give the wrong stuff AND it’s cold and stale.
I have gotten the same thing every time and this last time was so bad I had to write this. How dumb do they think I am. I ask for a sandwich without something for a reason. So that means make me a fresh sandwich WITHOUT what I asked you to leave off. Not take some sandwich you’ve had sitting around and remove what I didn’t want. I know that’s what they did because they didn’t remove all of it.
WHOEVER OWNS THIS CHECKERS. YOU NEED TO START CHECKING UP ON YOUR PEOPLE RANDOMLY IF YOU WANT CUSTOMER SUPPORT! THE NOVELTY OF THE NEW CHECKERS IS GONE AND IT’S ABOUT QUALITY. MAYBE PAY SOME MYSTERY SHOPPERS TO GO FOR YOU AND INSPECT THE QUALITY THEY ARE PUTTING OUT. IT HAS BEEN SUBPAR BY FAR. AT LEAST BETWEEN 6PM AND 10PM HAS BEEN.
Keep it up and the people will speak and you will be closed again

Writing an update for this place because they’re apparently just that amazing… I tried the cheese fries and they were delicious but the fries were soggy, so I recommend ordering the cheese on the side if you get those. Still pretty good, and the service was great as always. We go here on a regular basis now. But I also ordered their spicy chicken sandwich, which I was nervous about because I rarely eat sandwiches and I’m very picky about my chicken. I was so happy with it, that was the most delicious chicken sandwich I’ve had in a long time! Definitely ordering from this location again!

Longest line ever and then soggy fries. I was not a happy camper. I also thought it was ridiculous that my burger and fries were $ 3 but my small milkshake alone was $ 4. Time to bring the prices of those milkshakes down.

I was told by a reliable source that they were closed down by the health inspector over a year ago and had just opened back up after some remodeling and apparent cleaning of the interior. I thought I would give them a chance since I liked the one in Austin, Tx. but I was disappointed. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was barely warm and also hard around the edges of the fish itself because it wasn’t fresh but that isn’t what bothered me so much. It was the big piece of thick plastic I bit into. Yes, there was a big piece of plastic about two inches across in an almost circular shape. Plastic off a plastic bag it appeared. How the hell does something like that get on your sandwich?! I feel I purposely got the gringo special so fine, I won’t go back there ever again.

I was so excited to see that Checkers was back open! Too bad our experience wasn’t too great. Our food was all cold, the service was alright but nothing special. I hope if we decide to give it another try our food will actually be edible.

Next time i will drive to Brandon to go to Checkers! Took about 20 minutes just to order in Drive Thru. Before i go forward the building itself looks good with fresh paint but thats all. The parking lot is a mess! Only one drive thru window. (first time i ever seen that) The parking lot looked gross they could of power washed it before opening i mean take a little pride people. The drive thew window was dirty not that hard to clean a small window. My order was right but half of the food wasn’t fresh more cold then anything (the cheese wasn’t even melted on my wives burger) and the rest was super greasy (fires halfway filled, Slushy not filled, no sauces. I even seen the manager take the fries out of the frier and dump them over without shaking the grease off. My years working in fast food I would be embarrassed to work here. If i was a secret shopper i would fail this place in a heart beat. This is a management issue i mean I got to the window and no hello no sorry for the long wait just 25.50 who runs a business like this.

Better than McDonald’s! Love their burgers and fries! I miss those guys from over 5 years!

When are they opening! !!! September articles say it should have opened in November, but it’s December now. Getting all these coupons in the mail would love to use.

I absolutely love checkers! I cannot wait for it to open. They have the BEST fries and chicken sandwiches. This came as a surprise to me as I drive past this location all the time. Can’t wait!
