Buyer beware! One star for the friendly staff. That’s about it. We rented a lift that was estimated to be $ 1100. Skip to an hour later, when we see the deposit on this was a full $ 2500. Yep, they dinged our bank account $ 3500. Nice and perfect timing, about a day before rent is due. When questioned, there were no answers other than it’s a very expensive piece of equipment. Indeed, way more expensive than we anticipated without warning. When I called accounts payable, they explained that some credit cards take 7 – 10 business days to show the credit after you return the equipment. Again, we had no warning about this, but rather learned it only because I called to follow up about five days later.
Instead of arriving on time at 6am for the job, every hour, we got a call. «No, it’ll be there at 7:30am.» «No, it’ll be there at 8:30am.» «No, it’ll be there at 9:30am.» No, it wasn’t there until 10am, a full four hours late. We lost about $ 700 in labor.
As a consolation, we got the delivery (but not the pick up) charge off the final bill — a paltry $ 105. Fair? No, but when pressed, they refused to give us the pick up charge as well, which would have been $ 210. It’s too bad. Maybe someone will see this, so that they can make an informed choice.
