This place should be shut down. They charged us $ 80 for a filthy room. We went to the front desk to tell them there was mold all over the bathroom the towels were dirty, bugs on the coffee maker, layers of dust on the light above the bed and crumbs all over the floor. We were told they know and to go ask someone who cares. We tried to get the name of the short bald guy at the desk he threw our receipt over the counter and said he already charged us so it doesn’t matter. If the other hotels are full it’s worth driving some places else than wasting your money on this dump.

This is possibly the best America’s Best Value Inn I’ve ever stayed at. The place is clean and well equipped. Our room had an ironing board, iron, coffeemaker, hair dryer, and all the usual toiletries. They’ve also got an ice machine, an indoor pool, and a «deluxe» continental breakfast which included hard-boiled eggs, bagels, and a waffle maker. The greatest part is that check-out is at 12 noon, so you can sleep in! The price is slightly elevated if you’re a budget traveler. They do offer AAA discounts, and we were able to get a room for $ 60/night. My only caveat is that the ground floor has many non-smoking rooms, and while the rooms themselves smell fine, the hallway leading to them reeks of smoke.

The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean. Nice lake out back with geese. Booked the room from the road and the location was perfect. From the outside, the design reminds me of Microtel Inn and Suites, and the rooms are set up somewhat similar. The clerk was very efficient, and when I came back from a Starbucks run, he gave me my ID I forgot. The reviews that this hotel received in the past do not seem to reflect the present. My only complaint is that every room is charged a $ 1.50 fee for a safe in the room. I could understand if a guest used it, but… Anyway, the location is good, and the rooms are comfortable and the price we paid from Priceline is fair.

I stayed at this hotel for a camp at the nearby high school, Big Walnut. I walked in the door to find chewed gum on the floor and ants in the shower. Though my room was non-smoking, it reked of smoke. The blankets were covered in unidentified hairs and holes. My pillow had a bloodstain on it. The wallpaper made you feel like you were in an insane asylum. The«contential» breakfast consisted of stale pastries and cereal. Sketchy guests and interesting staff. NOTRECOMENDED.
