If you like a country music, and the original western food. This is a great place to talk, drink, eat excellent food and see a lot of pictures about the California Cowboys

The food is great and the servers make you feel like you are a guest in their home. Great place.

Probably the last remaining local restaurant in this wasteland of Cocos, Denny’s and Sizzlers. It probably dates back to the 50s, every western star from your childhood is on the wall. It’s comfort food at its best, but it’s the atmosphere and the locals you come here for. Great place for breakfast, had dinner here good not great but order the fried green beans. Only downside is its pricy when it costs you 15 bucks for breakfast. Well worth the trip, a little bit of Bakersfield hidden in the hills of Los Angeles.

Only went once, but I’ll be back. Friendly people, good food, and hidden away from L.A., yet close enough(12 mins from Burbank, 18 from NoHo). Smallish, cozy, with a great menu and some interesting specials.

From the outside this place looks like it could be a Hell’s Angels pit stop. A friend and I came here reluctantly for lunch during the week and had a delightful experience; not to say that Hell’s Angels bikers make for a sad time(i.e. «Pee Wee’s Big Adventure»). We were pleasantly surprised to find that this café is about friendly service and good fixins’. The turkey sandwich was delicious with prime cuts of breast and the recommended cup of homemade tortilla soup was better than most I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant. My friend ordered a mound of fruit salad topped with cottage cheese which he tore through like a grizzly. The walls here are adorn with photos from various travels and celebrities who’ve visited the café. Ask and expect a cool story behind each one.

Food is average, but good. The ambiance of sitting outdoors is great the wait staff is very nice and we like the idea of it being family owned. The only thing that turns me off is they allow smoking on the covered patio and that is all they have for seating(it really is a closed in room). I think it is against the law in California to smoke on a patio where it is the only seating at the place. You can not go wrong with the soups, apple pie, french dip or anything on special.
