Love this place. Some items are a bit overpriced but it’s ok. Lots of collectibles and fun stuff.

A friend told me about this place, I found some great deals on boys pants, I also found a 100% silk, fully lined skirt for $ 3!
But, I have a hard time shopping at a dirty/​dingy place. They really need to organize, clean and make this place prettier. I understand they are used items, but it could look a lot better!
Clean the windows, clean the floors. Get better shelving and someone that knows something about décor and fashion. You could attract a lot more customers if you spent some money on making this place nicer. A new demographic would shop here if you had someone sort the clothes and make it more appealing to the customer that’s willing to pay more for nice quality items.
Have a designer section, charge more for the quality items. People are looking for a good deal, but still want quality well made clothing.

So, I went to a fight and a thrift store broke out.
Yep.
That just happened.
Looked like a lovers’ spat gone wrong, plus a possible chemical component. But, come on, quibbling lovers, please don’t push over the clothing racks. Take it outside!
So the collection here seems hit and miss. It’s not a destination thrift-​store but if you’re in the area why not? Clothes, dishes, shoes, etc. Not a lot of high-​end stuff.
But then, it’s the gambler’s thrill that sends me thrifting.
Today’s haul (first time here in ages, btw): a 100% silk dress for 8.99, wool blazer for 2.99, and vintage purse for 4.99.
Tons of furniture in the back. Takes plastic. Huge parking lot.

Massive store. Would like it if it was a little bit cleaner, to be honest. Some of the furniture in the back is extremely dirty or in bad shape that really shouldn’t be sold. Clothes and shoes are organized but items on the shelves along the walls are all over the place, mostly on the floor.

This place is so large! So many things to choose from. The only reason why I’m giving it 2 stars is because all their books, movies, games, and vinyls have a price on them written with crayon on the front of the book or movie covers. I mean I like thrift shopping, but I don’t need to be reminded where I got the book or game from. It doesn’t look like you can get the crayon off easily either. One thing I like about this place is their clothes are color coordinated, which is nice.

A great thrift store! Cheap and I always manage to find awesome shirts and shoes. Love coming here!

Great deals, great location, and most importantly awesome hardworking people who keep the store filled with great finds.

I think this place is awesome go during the week they have either Sunday or Wednesday 50% off tagged specials I’ve gotten $ 75 pairs of jeans for $ 5 and where its location isn’t bad its off the 210 and it’s a huge store

Great thrift store. Bought three black pencil skirts (two of which were 100% wool, all with a lining), one pair of slacks, one pair of dark jeans, two button down blouses, one white casual friday style white dress, and one sleeveless black dress appropriate for the office… all for only $ 29! AMAZING.
Highly recommend. Large selection. No dressing room but I just tried things on over my clothes in front of the mirror.
Wed and Sat from 9 am to noon is ½ off.

Looked at the vinyl collection and wowza-​Ian and Sylvia’s bluesy old Vanguard recording of Rocks and Gravel, CC Rider, Old Blue and Makes A Long Time Man Feel Bad LP was staring me in the face. I got this, The Headliners LP with Brothers Four, Tony Bennett, Lionrl Hampton as well as others, Richard Rogers’ Victory at Sea, Mary Martin/​Ezio Pinza in South Pacific, and Artur Rubinstein doing Beethoven’s Appassionata and Pathetique. This was all for under $ 15 plus I got 2 great beaded costume sweaters for the fall/​winter.
Go on a weekday because then you can move your elbows as it gets busy.
Wednesday mornings are 50% off for clothes.
Finding great relics is a science, ya know?

This is my quick stop for v necks, boxers, socks, tank tops and more. The prices are okay and I’m a regular customer. The staff is super nice and I always find what I need.

Can’t give 5 stars when they have no dressing room. You have to try on clothes to make sure they fit! Good selection and pretty clean minus the kids area.

There was so many clothes! And they were extremely cheap! Yet the organization of the clothing made it hard to find sizes, thus its a time consuming. Additionally, the place is really dirty (not that I expected something super clean). However, my favorite thing about the joint other than the vast amount clothes was the sales and how it made it even cheaper

One of the worst thrift stores I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to A LOT. Had a hard time finding it the first time around (it’s behind the Ralphs, basically). It was pretty crowded on a Saturday, as expected, because they have discounts that day. It’s a big store, but everything is super expensive for what it is. My mom was with me, and she was like, what the heck is up with these prices? You can get a new vase for $ 7, why would I want this old one (old, not vintage)? That was the theme throughout the half hour we were there. They had some okay priced vintage clothes, but other things were hilariously overpriced. I will skip this unless I’m right in the area (and I mean literally next door).

This place gives me faith again that I can find cute clothes for super cheap!!!
For years I’ve been «thrift store shopping» (actually dk why that’s in quotations) at wasteland, american vintage and what not that are cheap but not THRIFT STORE CHEAP. Here I got tees for a dollar and cardigans for two dollars. Basically, I purchased two cardigans, a jersey, and a tee for a total of 11 dollars. My friend purchased three cardigans, and two tops for 25 dollars. CRAZYYYY I KNOW!
The reason that I’m giving this place four stars though is they don’t have a fitting room. I know I shouldn’t expect too much especially because it’s a thrift store but really, you can’t even add a fitting room?
This place is no refunds, no exchanges, so what if you hate what you bought?
I mean this place is cheap but you can’t find a couple dollars on the street for free if you know what I mean.
Besides that, the staff is pretty friendly, they keep their clothes organized and have a HUGE selection which is always a good quality in a thrift store in my opinion.
Definitely got some good steals and will be coming back!

Came here with my boyfriend last week to donate some of his old clothes. It took him a while to finally let go but we ended up giving away more than half of what he brought. He didn’t cry but he was really sad… Stop being sad when you haven’t worn these clothes in years. The place was full of stuff and a lot of different stuff. The prices were also really cheap so I can see this as a great place for families who are on a tight budget or are struggling. I would recommend everyone to donate their unwanted clothes. You never know who you could be helping.

There are some great things to be found here. But usually it’s too difficult to look through everyyyyything. It could be overwhelming.

There are not many times that I can say that I’ve driven through freaky horse lands only to be rewarded with treasure troves of thrift stores but this is one of those cases that I have.

I’m a hard win when it comes to thrift shops, but within minutes of entering Sun Thrift Store I was impressed.
STS is a hidden gem in Sunland (like where?) that offers a wide cache of dusty old trinkets at nifty prices. They offer standard fare and even have an entire room of computery stuff (don’t get too excited; it’s really not that good) and the typical horrible records, kitschy mugs, pots, panhandlers outside and sweater vests. I will also note that STS also offers a highly distressing number of small figurines of small animals and gnomes and wizardy type thinger bobber ee doos.
Like many other thrift shops STS offers half off on random color tagged items on specific days of the week. Unfortunately, I found that on the day that I was there that almost none of the items, were colored with these tags so the sale advertised was essentially useless. I am not sure if this is regular occurrence or just my unfortunate luck but you have been warned. Bahumbug
The employees are incredibly friendly and willing to barter on many of the items in the store. I stumbled upon a fantastic set of owl bookends and when I went to the register to pay I discovered that the items had been priced separately rather than as a pair (you know, because one bookend is better than two) and when I realized this and mentioned to the employee behind that counter that I was not going to take them after all because they were twice as expensive, he gave it to me for the price I had believed they were. To the left of me, a similar deal with another customer and employee.
That being said, I will have to note that many of the prices of the items are not marked terribly clearly. I imagine the person whoever is responsible for pricing the items, stands on their head in the dark on top of some moving apparatus when labeling the items. Now that I have divludged my theory on the the labeling procedure, it would make sense that there were countless occasions were I was confused as to whether certain items costs sixty cents or eight dollars and thirty cents. Given that I didn’t want to constantly guess the items
Although the labeling of the items is unclear whoever is responsible for choosing the pricing of the items definitely knows what they are doing. I live in West LA and have absolutely no idea what the population of Sunland is comprised of but somehow the folks at STS have managed to recruit a small army of mustached hipsters to price all of their finest items. Obviously, this is a disappointment because almost every kitschy and fun item was priced notably high. Deals were still good on those old patagucci jackets but there were many serious sad faces on several occasions. STS: hire old women.
If you have a free afternoon and enjoy thrift store adventures, STS is definitely a store that you should check out. You won’t leave empty handed.

Sun thrift was like a rec center for the elderly street wise folk who knew a thing or two about fashion and saving money. My grandmums introduced me to this place on Saturday mornings with the members of their mahjong crew.
Now, after a lifetime shopping here, I went from being ashamed of thrifted clothes to absolutely loving the uniqueness and style of my whole wardrobe.
The savings has afforded me other fantastic things like saving for travel to wear these unique clothes.
Sunthrift is an absolute gem.

Local thrift store. It’s about 5 – 7 minutes away from my house. I haven’t personally bought anything yet but my bro does all the time. He can always find something here; whatever he has in mind and steps in, he always walks out with it.
I’ll probably thrift shop when it comes time for me to decorate my apartment and I’m sure I’ll find an article or two of clothes that I’ll have buy as well.
