Tried this place with a few friends and everyone agrees — it’s a must if you’re in the neighbourhood. The empanadas were a hit with all of us, but mine, which was stuffed with beans, plantains, cheese, and pulled pork, was epically delicious. I insisted everyone have a bite of mine and they all agreed it was the tastiest. I then immediately regretted sharing it as it was the last one and they are not all that big. Then again, it always feels good to be right. I’d never tried a cordita but I would come back every day for one of these tasty little coffees. They also serve breakfast all day and the woman serving us was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. The only let down was the pastelito. My friend ordered the spinach one and it tasted like warm spinach and not much else. Would have benefitted from a lot of seasoning. She said the other flavours are quite good, and the pastry itself is buttery and flaky. 10⁄10 would cordita-empanada again.

Walked in to spend some time and drink and work. Run down, no plugs does not belong in this mall. Need something nicer like Granier next door.

This review is for the coffee only: Tastes like it came from a gas station. As other reviewers have noted, they appear to give preferential treatment to others. The floors and tables were all dirty. A pro: it’s cheap considering the area.

Pros: Manhattan Bakery is great for coffee, a snack or a light meal. The service is cordial and quick enough, depending on the time of day. Don’t expect to walk in and out in the late afternoon, when regulars take over the patio to gossip and people-watch. The patio seems to be a good place to catch a glimpse of real life near Miami Beach. Though most of what you will see is a parking lot and high-rise condominiums, you’ll be lucky to catch a glimpse of regulars who visit here or the popular Russian restaurant a few shops down. Cons: This venezuelan café is nondescript in name, location, décor, & menu. They serve empanadas, sandwiches, arepas, pastries & probably more. Its décor gives vibes of a chain-restaurant, which would match up with its impersonal name; but nothing else suggests this. I would love to know how«Manhattan Bakery» got its name or how/when it started. This kind of personal touch might make a world of a difference to an otherwise indifferent café.

The empanadas and the croissants are huge, fulfilling, delicious, and legit. Never had a bad experience, my favorite is the ham and cheese stuffed croissant. It is PACKED with cheese and ham.

Let me start with, it’s been like a year since I last visited. I see new waitresses/cashiers. This place is called Manhattan bakery but was told nothing American is sold here. Didn’t make sense to me at all lol. No sausage and no hash browns or any sort of potatoes. Their toast was amazingly good. Natural Orange juice but it wasn’t cold. Now here’s what got me. I felt discriminated. These people were Latin, and I’m Latin, yet they treated me as if I wasn’t important enough to be nice to. When I went to pay, they kept ignoring me and kept taking orders from other people. I don’t wanna sound racist. But the other people were I guess, preppy looking. I finally paid and left a $ 2 tip for a $ 10 breakfast. And she just took it, no thank you, no see you later or come back soon. Yet they were treating the other customers with smiles and favor. Not a welcoming experience like the other spots I’ve been to.

Minimal selection but what they had was good. Got a beef empanada that was tasty with great dough. Service was incredibly slow though

I was in Miami about a month ago, but i do not remember this place, sorry guys. I checked in, so i must have been there. That means it did not impress me and it did not piss me off(which is always a good thing).

I popped in here one morning on my way out of town to grab a café con leche and a beef empanada. The service was kind of slow even though I was the only one there, but she was nice and polite. It took her a while to make the coffee compared to other places I go. The coffee though was good and the empanada was delicious. The prices were decent.

Amazing coffee and staff are nice. I go almost everyday for coffee. It’s expensive, but on par with prices throughout Sunny Isles Beach. If you are thinking of spending Starbucks kind of money, you might as well come here.

I came here looking for Venezuelan arepas and empanadas. I read reviews about how great the food is and was very optimistic about it. I got there and felt lost because it’s small and there isn’t easy access to a menu right when you come in. The menu is at the counter in front of the register and and there are options so i didn’t like that i couldn’t take my time to read the menu. Also, there’s no full table service so you gota make the line, order and then they will bring the food to you. Usually this is fine, but when it’s a small space and lots of people, it’s not ideal because you can’t get the menu while in line. Anyways, aside from that, the empanadas were delicious, the coffee was on point, i tried a fruit smoothie and it was delicious and the scrambled eggs(i went for breakfast) were very good. The arepas need some work. The people in the counter were nice and friendly. What threw me off was that when i came in and i saw a waitress serving some food, i asked if she took orders at the table and she said no. Then when i was sitting outside, there was a small group of guys sitting across from me and she came and took their order and brought them water and gave them a full service. So i asked her why i couldn’t get full service and she said«these guys are regulars and always come here so they are the only ones that we give full service to.» That just blew my mind.

Anyone looking for authentic Venezuelan(or Columbian) food, this is a place to go. The arepas and empanadas are SO authentic. I felt like I was sitting in Venezuela. They have queso de mano(a venezuelan cheese). The prices are fair. They also have good sandwiches and salads. The coffee is fantastic as well and there is a nice selection of baked goods/pastries to choose from as a treat. The best part of this place is Angelica, who is unbelievably kind. She always makes you feel welcome and once or twice I’ve thought about ordering pastry but she suggests another one that is more fresh. She remembers peoples names and is an absolute delight. Thank you Angelica!

We usually go there on Sundays for Breakfast and they have the most amaaaaazing arepas ever. The arepas themselves are very tasty and the different fillings they have make them that much more delicious. The chicken one is divine.

Extremely overpriced. They never have the fresh orange or carrot juice they have on the menu. Salads are not good. Staff is not courteous. It’s a beautiful looking place. But, not a preference for eating in.

Went today looking for the Classic Venezuelan«Pan de Jamon» and did not mind waiting 20 min for it to be out of the oven! Delicious, perfect ratio of ham, olives and raisins! We usually make our own but this one for sure it’s one we’ll go back to buying! Took home also a little bit of «ensalada de gallina» which was really good and fresh. While we waited had tequeños and they were really good as the rest of the items we got. The owner greeted us together with the staff really nice and friendly. Going back for sure to try more!

Quick and easy. Not spectacular but if you are in a rush and want a breakfast priced under $ 10 with some Cuban coffee this is your place. We ordered take out bagel sandwiches and some coffee, bill was $ 21. It’s located right across the street from the Trump Int’l as well, so if you are staying there, it’s a quick eat!
