I’m at odds here because there are certain things that are really yummy like fresh ceviche, papa a la huancaina, and their lomo saltado is okay but a lot of their food I find to be super greasy like their chaufa so I can’t give them any more than 3 stars. They’re just not up to par with most Peruvian restaurants

We got takeout from here and walked here and it started raining while we were walking home oh no! Lol. It was really good though so I’m glad we went. I ordered a dish w chicken and noodles and onions and it was super yummy. I loved the spice combo, it was so good. Also the portion was huge. Both my kids saw noodles and devoured it and i had a big portion and there were still leftovers. The boys had shrimp and it was really tasty. My handsome Hubby got beef fried rice which was super spicy and delish. So everything was really yummy. Yay! We will b back.

I felt like this was clearly an above average Peruvian place. Service was friendly and the food was all tasty. I had the meat fried rice and I enjoyed it. The steak in the rice was juicy and we’ll cooked. Be advised that their green sauce is pretty spicy(which I like). The menu is aligned with most of the other Peruvian spots in the area, but the quality of food and service has this place very obviously in the«above average» category for me. Will be back.

I had seen a lot of people raving about this restaurant, albeit for its other location in Hollywood. I don’t usually go much to Hollywood, so I made note of the restaurant in the back of my mind, just in case I ever found myself there. Fast forward to the 4th of July, and trying to find a restaurant that was open for lunch. Driving on Sunny Isles Beach with my friend, I noticed this restaurant carried the same name as the Hollywood location, and deduced it was a sister restaurant. At that point(plus the scarcity of restaurants open on such a holiday), we decided to give this place a try, and to top it off, it had been a while since I had eaten Peruvian food. We were quickly greeted and sat in a booth. The menu was quite diverse and appetizing, but since it was such a hot and humid day, I was craving something refreshing, like ceviche. Luckily, this friend happens to love ceviche, so it was a no-brainer, but now came the choice of which ceviche, since there are more than 4 options on the menu. We decided that the ceviche trilogy would be a good starter, since it allowed you to try different ways of seasoning the raw fish and could help you decide for future occasions, assuming you wanted to try a full entrée next time. The trilogy comes with the rocoto, the regular(typical) lime juice seasoning, and the yellow pepper seasoning. Rocoto is a spicy pepper, and since I like spicy food, that was my favorite. The hotness brought out the other flavors of the fish and the onions. My friend and I fought over the rocoto, and then, the yellow pepper(my second favorite of the three). Since Peruvians are known for seafood, we decided to order fish as an entrée, and shared that too. We got the full fish, which was a red snapper and came whole, baked in a tomato-based sauce and onions(Pescado Sudado). The fish was fresh and juicy, and the side of aji pepper that was provided in a small container added a kick to it. It came with a side of rice, which we also split. My friend and I enjoyed the food, and found it filling to share half the fish and half the ceviche. For dessert, we decided to get the Tres Leches, which was very sweet, rich, and spongy. While we ate, we watched the soccer game on the big screen. Service was not an issue for us and the food was great. I would definitely consider going back, despite some of the lackluster reviews!

Great food! This place seems to not have the greatest ratings, but I decided to give it a chance because I love Peruvian dishes and let me tell you I was not disappointed at all. I’ve ordered delivery and they’re always on time or just a bit earlier than the time estimated.

DONTWASTEYOURTIMEORMONEY. I just left this place and as a customer since 2013 i am beyond frustrated at the service ORLACKOFSERVICE i just received. While the food is good the service is beyond UNACCEPTABLE. There were three of us dining, we ordered two appetizers and three entrees. Appetizers came quick, we ate and mid through our appetizers TWO of the THREE entrees arrived. We waited more than 10 minutes for the 3rd entrée to arrive — asked several times and I was finally told by another server(WHOHAD A HUGEATTITUDE) that we weren’t suppose to even have our entrees it was a mistake and they were delivered to the wrong table. QUESTION — WHYISTHISMYPROBLEM? I have worked in the hospitality business for more than 15 years — this is UNACCEPTABLE! By the way our waitress(yes we did have one) DIDNOTCOMEBACKONCETOCHECKONUS! No refill on my beer, no refill on our waters, no «how is everything with your food»(after we all received it) — nothing like we were chop liver. At the conclusion of our dinner the manager who would not speak English to me proceeded to argued with my husband, he didn’t want to give us a dessert on the house, a soda, NOTHING! We didn’t ask for the entrée to be free(which i believe is fair) we wanted a dessert, the MANAGER(not sure he deserves this title) ARGUEDWITHMYHUSBANDFOR10MINUTES. He finally gave us a dessert, not what we asked for but some bullcrap soggy hot donut looking things(i wouldn’t even eat it im sure they did something to it). You can keep your crap food and crap service ill go next door to LABARRA and receive GOODFOODANDGOODSERVICE. By the way we asked several times for the number of someone to call and were denied each time. I will find the number to call — i work in the business! If you can’t speak Spanish make sure to bring a translator — NEWSFLASH this is Sunny Isles LEARNENGLISH!

I’m shocked. I’m shocked that this place has a 3.5. It has been the best decision of my life in the last 24 hours. The food is just outve the world(especially the seafood stew and the poached whole fish) The dessert(quatre leches) was insanely amazing. Our server alejandro was a boss. This place needs to be a 5⁄5.

First time here and it was very good! Every time I go to a Peruvian restaurant, I always order Lomo Saltado. And because I like to try it from every Peruvian restaurant I visit, I ordered just that! It was very good and if this is your first time, you must try! It’s a popular Peruvian dish. This place has been remodeled because it doesn’t look like the pictures posted on Unilocal,it now has a modern look and very nice small restaurant. Try it out :)

Just ok this time. I remember this place being better. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything special. I had anticuchos, ceviche trio and the seco de cordero. The anticuchos had good flavor but were not as tender as I would have liked. The ceviche trio was my favorite dinner item but was a bit salty. The presentation was very nice. The seco which was a lamb shank was pretty good but again a bit on the salty side. The highlight of this dinner wad the desserts! The picarones were so good and the alfajores were so yummy and fresh. The alfajores come in a box of 12… a must have. The parking is also a big hassle too now since they’re building a new resort next to it.

I’m a big fan of tripe and Alan, the owner, has a very good recipt. Located in the mall next to the Epicure they have done the best that can be done in this not so wonderful strip mall. The help could not be more helpful and so happy to see a Unilocaler; it was palpable. The prices are right in line with what they should be. My lunch mate was happy with lomo, red peppers, red onions, and fries. They serve a very delicate yuca in a traditional sauce; I could have eaten 20. Alan’s charm, good food and overall ambience put this joint on my list.

I worked in a Peruvian restaurant for 6 months in NYC so I’ve tasted all the different plates. The food wasn’t terrible here but damn it was total waste of time and money. I’m so disappointed in walking in here. The ceviche was«u got to be kidding me» flavor. My Arroz with shrimp tasted like someone canceled the order earlier in the day and they just reheated it. My lady’s talladarin saltado was so bland. The meat portion was small. I did get quite a few shrimp in my order and it was okay but the rice was overdone like crazy(maybe from the reheat). Pros: the chicha mora pitcher for $ 10. Cons: 4 – 5 waitresses and not a single customer except this one lady(who might have been the owner). I’m so pissed at myself for walking In when they had a nice jam packed restaurant next door called barra café. 4 entrees and 1 pitcher =$ 85 tip included. It was just insulting to my tongue. I wanted to take some laxatives and in 2 hours drive back to Three palms cuban café.(Best place in Miami)

So far I really like this spot. I am looking forward to returning to Pachamamma after having just been to Peru for the first time. The best meal I’ve had was a steak with linguini. I also had their ceviche(delicious but huge) and seafood fried rice(not sure of the name). Their portions are generous! And you will love the traditional cancha snacks before your meal. If you like live music then they have a band one night per week playing through dinner. On the other hand, the band can be a little annoying if you are mostly interested in good food and conversation.

The place is dingy and looks dirty, the food took for ever and was ice cold. Once they reheated the food,(Chaifa rice with chicken) it was so salty that it was un-edible and the chicken was full of fat and old chicken that you could tell it was reheated 100 times. My husbands plate, Seafood rice, only had 2 shrimps and it was so greasy! Horrible place, do not recommend to anyone.
