Cooldown Juice

It’s so nice to have a cold pressed juice place in the neighborhood. Even better that the juice is delicious. I love the Pure Earth and Triple Crown– both get in some wheatgrass without being too grassy. In general, all of the Cooldown juices are very balanced. If you’re looking for something sweeter, their almond mylk blends are tasty (Strawberry Chia Mylk is great). I like that they’re (a little) cheaper than most juice places in Manhattan and save many of my juice purchases for when I return home to Sunnyside. I also really appreciate that they are dated so you know your juice is fresh (and if you buy a few– the order you might drink them). I also appreciate their nutrition labels. Obviously, all their juices are healthy, but sometimes I want to limit my calories or sugar from juice and it’s nice to have that information to add to the decision making process. (It also gives you an idea of how much of the higher sugar fruits and veggies they’re using.) The owners are also very friendly (all of the staff is friendly) and happy to talk about their juices; but there’s absolutely no «holier than thou» feeling that you can sometimes experience at juice places.

HOLY COW! How did we not find this place sooner?! The owners are SO KNOWLEDGEABLE, WELCOMING AND KIND! We were originally just going to get one bottle, but were sold on getting three because of the tasty sample!

cold pressed, freshly squeezed… all the same right? apparently not! the people who run this place legit know their juice. one thing i really like about cooldown juice is consistency. i’ve been to other places before and they had employees who didn’t know how much of which ingredient to put in or when i ordered something, it would take FOREVER to wait for them to make. who knew that cold pressed was healthier for you and they make it ahead of time so you can be in and out under 10 seconds and is good for 4 – 5 days? i didn’t know that.
anyway, i’ve had the ones you get at wholefoods, tj’s etc, but i kind of like giving my business to small startups like these. besides, i’m really digging their seasonal smashin’ pumpkin juice right now. cuz i’m basic. i haven’t had any of the caffeinated stuff yet, but i’m not too big on coffee. the abc one is pretty good if you’re into beet juice and anything with orange juice is a safe bet if you’re not a hardcore juicer or whatever those people are called. ginger isn’t for everyone but i like it. that’s just me though. new favorite health joint!

I was so excited to hear about this store in Sunnyside! Thank goodness its not another pizza place, nail salon or dollar store! The juices are made right in the store and they have a great selection. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the juices. I bought the coco café and it was great. There was a strong coffee taste, which I loved. My husband loved his choice as well. The juices are so fresh and made with great ingredients. The juices run $ 10 per bottle, which may seem pricey but that is average for fresh juices. Honestly, I do not want to deal with a juicer at home, so I’d rather pay these guys to do it for me :) I really wish them all the best as they’re a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

I wish I could give Cooldown Juice more stars!!! Amazing (ever growing) selection of juices from a family of folks who know what they are doing. Every bottle and every cleanse is worth every penny. As a Chemistry and Physics teacher, I can tell you the people of Cooldown Juice know the science. As an endurance runner and triathlete, they put in all the hard work that I don’t have the time to do for myself. I own a juicer!!! For someone new to juices, juicing, or cleanses, it’s as easy as pointing to the keywords on their menu for what best suits your needs. So give them a call, check them out on-​line, and/​or walk-​in and chat with them. You won’t regret it! This vegan surely does not!!!
So far, my favorites: The ABC Twist, Shaman, and Dr. Greenthumb. The Green Tropic boasts only 5g of Sugar.

These juices are really created with so much love and attention by the family that owns the shop. The recipes are so delicious and surprising! Highly recommend…

Great addition to the neighborhood. Friendly and informative owners teach you everything you need to know about coldpress juices ! the new health and wellness lifestyle that is expanding. Essential elements is my favorite juice (healthy and tastes like ice cream) !!! They deliver to manhattan, queens and brooklyn. All the vitamins and nutrients you need in a portable package. Worth a stop in or you can order online! they make it easy !

It’s been way overdue for Sunnyside to have a place where you can buy a healthy and tasty juice that’s NOT loaded with preservatives and loads of sugar. There are some really nice choices to try but my favorites so far are the Essential Elements and the Coco Café. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

This new fresh juice delivery/​pick up service in town has some phenomenal pressed juices! My favorite juice is hands down «The Inferno» — packs a solid punch of spicy Jalapeño…delish! Plenty of tasty options across the board.
