This is the kind of place that makes Sunnyside special.
Large and delicious portions of diverse food, served up quickly and happily by four brothers at a very reasonable price.
Anytime of day, Eat-​in or Take-​out, this place is the absolute best. Leave pretension at the door and enjoy this rare, neighborhood gem.
Pro-​Tip: Try the Tacos, Mexican Breakfasts, and don’t hesitate to tell them how you want it!

Perhaps my favorite place to do breakfast in the city. Extremely friendly service.
Cheap with generous portions. Love the rice in the breakfast dishes. Walked out of there in a daze, smelling like fried food.
I imagine this would be a great place to eat away your hangover.

This place is open early every morning, which makes it great. Everything there is made to order and super fast. The guys that work there are always pleasant.

Best little diner in Sunnyside. …exactly what a diner should be. Their homemade mexican dishes are far superior to those at a fancy mexican restaurant.

Has changed names but the location in this small industrial area has remained the same. Nice to see that whomever took it over did some renovations.

Loads of selection. Fast & cheap & hot & good. Just moved into the neighborhood and this is my joint. Ordered coffee with cream & sugar and they nailed it. I didn’t have to add anything to it. I got a bacon, egg & cheese on a roll, and it was delish. I can see this place becoming a regular spot in my rotation.

This place is hands-​down one of my favorite local ANYTIME joints.
I used to come here all the time when I was in elementary school throughout high school. Even sometimes I would have cravings for this place.
They serve a mean breakfast menu and offers a very peaceful morning setting.
Their platters and burgers are astonishing and have been consistent for as long as they were open!
Burgers; double cheese burgers, mexican burgers, and all of them tastes so great!
Their platters; my favorite Shish Kabob platter or BBQ grilled chicken is on point and filled with taste when served hot !
It’s not a very romantic/​date scenery here, but other than that, this place hits the spot!

Love brothers especially the secret menu Mario the boss brings home cooked Mexican food but it must be asked for at counter there is no indication in menu… been here since they used to serve lahmajuns and chocolate soldiers… btw the owner Mario was a line cook before he became owner and has always been epitome of the American dream

This place, once called Jimmy’s (still called Jimmy’s amongst many few OG’s), offers great variety of american and latin type foods. Atmosphere is somewhat diner style, served with them white oval plates. Their prices on foods are very affordable and their portions are great. I tend to come nowadays for their breakfast menu — steak with onions and rice and salad and a whole lotta love for $ 7.00.
You cant go wrong with that.

This place has the kindest staff. They are a family owned and operated business. Whenever I pass by their restaurant in the early morning I see them loading packs of fresh food. I can definitely taste the fresh quality. The food is always amazing, but they do have a tendency of messing up the orders. Although your orders may not come out exactly how you ordered, the food never fails to disappoint. The greatest thing about this place is that you can prepare your sandwiches, tortas or plates exactly as you wish. If you want to put beans in a sandwich you can. If you want them to toast your muffins they will do that as well. I would give this place 6 stars if I could.

Ah yes. This place is seriously amazing.
The brothers who work here are such sweet people. They personally know me since I come here almost every week, and they always accomodate the substitutes I need with my food. It’s basically diner food for a seriously cheap price. The portions are huge as well, so you won’t ever leave hungry from here. My regular meal here are sunnyside-​up eggs with some home fries, toast, and turkey bacon on the side. the perfect meal. I just wished this place had better ventilation because I always end up smelling like eggs and bacon after I eat here. So if you do planning on coming here, just be prepared for that. BUT, don’t let that fact stop you from coming here because the food is totally worth it.
I’m probably going back here next weekend anyway.

Excellent friendly service and damn good food at a reasonable price… I had the Chorizo omelet had them add mushrooms w/​beans and rice. He offered me an iced coffee and it was perfect… they even threw in free salsa Verde. Awesome place I highly recommend it… $ 9.50

I would give 4.5 if I could.
This is a simple, no frills but excellent food spot. I’ve come only for breakfast, and it has exceeded my expectations in this regard.
The sausage is perhaps the softest and most flavorful I’ve had in a breakfast sandwich, the bacon crisp and flavorful. The service is fast and genial. I highly recommend this location.

This is a great Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu (with a lot of American dishes). It’s super casual and relaxed with a diner vibe. Came here for Sunday brunch and the place was packed with people seated at the tables, bar and picking up. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The portion sizes are super generous and the prices are well worth it. Burritos are $ 7 and big enough to feed two people. Their chorizo with eggs is great with rice and beans. Will definitely be heading back there soon.

I can’t believe I didn’t review this place sooner but it’s worth it because now I can speak more about some delicious breakfast they have because I have tried many. I’m amazed by this little corner café owned by the brothers (I think 4 of them as the painting on the wall speaks for itself). You may underestimate the place being one of those coffee shops with nothing special in it. I used to wonder why this place is always busy. I’ve seen many blue labor workers go in to this coffee shop and enjoy their meals. Even FedEx and UPS delivery trucks would stop here and get their coffee/​breakfast from here. Must be good. I started to try different types of breakfast each time and waalaa! I found my favorite one! I go with breakfast a la mexicana. That is it! That’s my breakfast delight. Since I tried that, I love it so much. I don’t always get breakfast from here because I like breakfast at home too but I’d order this when hubby and I decide to come here. Coffee is so so. Home fries is unbeatable, this one you need to try. I love their home fries better than some breakfast places in Sunnyside. Turkey sandwich is also good here. Even turkey bacon that hubby orders quite often is also great. The rice & beans pair that comes with a la mexicana breakfast is appealing and this dish is my favorite. They know right away when I walk-​in what to prepare for me. They’re sharp! Like my knife (which I hardly used in my kitchen). The brothers are friendly people. Don’t underestimate this little corner, try it yourself. Have a lovely breakfast everyone! *:)

This is the best breakfast/​lunch place in Sunnyside in terms of quality/​price.
You cannot go wrong with anything you pick from the menu. I always get the omelets and the steak salad. The service is great made possible by the bros!

Large portioned, well-​priced, and tasty Tortas! Great customer service as well. I also enjoy the painted portrait of the brother’s.

What can else can i say, my father owns the place.
In all seriousness this establishment prides itself on putting the customer first. It may not look like the most glorious place, however the food is always consistently awesome. Family run business that treats its usuals customers like family.

Went in sun late morning because its a few blocks away from my house and I always see people going in and out. Not too many tables but they also have a counter top bar. Looked like all brothers were working at the time. The Coffee was good he even asked if I wanted a refill to take with me when I left.
Had the chorizo and eggs served with yellow rice and black beans. It was incredible! My choice of toast or tortillas… the tortillas were hot and tasty! The meal and the coffee was filling all for about 6 bucks!!! I cant wait to go back and try something different!!!
