Diner used to be my favorite go to place back in the days, they have lost quality AND quantity of food as well as service :( Its sad to see this spot lose reputation as time goes by, looks like they have gone thru several re-staffing. Always came here for a good breakfast meal with a hot coffee! Their burgers were always so good but now seem it’s just made half-assed I’d still come here because its local, but wouldnt recommend it for someone looking to explore new diners! Sorry Im not a hater I swear! Just saving you money(:

Decent food. The homemade potatoes on the side are delicious. I tried vegetarian omelet. It was pretty good. For a diner its really good.

Rude, rude, rude I don’t get to come to NY to often but when I do I like to eat local. I went here and this was by far the rudest restaurant I have ever been to. the waiter that I had was totally disrespectful and when I asked to speak with a manager the owner came and was equally rude. As far as the food goes it’s average nothing to write home about. In my opinion I wouldn’t wast my time

This diner has a nice décor and chill atmosphere the food isn’t that bad either — for diner food. This is one of the better options around sunnyside. Better than Petes grill. Went for breakfast twice. First time I got pancakes. These were no good. Just boring and flavorless. The second time I got sunnyside up eggs and potatoes. This was very good and simple. I mean it’s not hard to mess up that dish so I’ll check back in the future after I order some slightly sophisticated stuff.

For some reason, I found myself wandering Sunnyside for an afternoon coffee time with a friend. It was nice to bump into this place, since it had seats and dessert. My friend ended up with a yogurt and chocolate milk concoction called something with the word monkey in it. I eyed a lot of desserts on their menu. Being that I just arrived from having lunch at TakeSushi, I decided to just stick to a beverage. I thought the waiter was friendly and helpful. I feel like the restaurant had a good vibe. I would come back to try some dishes of food next time.

I’ve been here a few times with groups. It’s just around the corner and very convenient. Great selection and we were all happy with our dinners. Definitely will go back.

I am graduating that Dinner with one star only because of the Unilocal requirements. but I really don’t understand why that kind of establishment with a tasteless blunt so call food still exists in our neighborhood? ! I wouldn’t feed a stray dog with that garbage ! Maybe people here have a very low gastronomic standards? Its a mystery for me . Dear people of Sunnyside please try Manhattan Dinners or plenty of good not expensive Café in Astoria for a change, and you will see the huge difference !! Foxy ‘s meals like a tough, tasteless over cooked meat or the other unhealthy greasy options on a menu in addition to a RUDE, UNPROFESSIONALOWNER /MANAGER OFTHAT so call Dinner just UNEXCEPTIONAL !

Always«Hardy» fare. If you’re hungry and looking for good food– this is the place! Their breakfast selection is great! Good food, good service and fair price.

We’ve gone to Foxy’s for breakfast a few times and were quite pleased. On our latest visit, we were getting ready to face a 90+ degree day, and the waiter offered iced coffee, which was served in a tall ice cream soda glass. That was a treat. I ordered the huevos rancheros and was not disappointed. Nice large servings of black beans and home fries accompanied the two eggs over crispy tortillas drowned in salsa. The home fries were better than what I expected; thought was actually put into the recipe and preparation. My companion ordered Nutella pancakes. Three large pancakes, stacked, each covered with a thick layer of Nutella. I’d be in a food coma eating that much Nutella, but my companion enjoyed the pancakes and took a good portion home with him for leftovers. Nice atmosphere and locals eating. Friendly wait staff.

DONOTORDERBRUNCHDRINKS. They advertise«Sat. Brunch Drink Special(11am-5pm) 1 for 3.50, 2 for 5.95.» We had a total of 3 drinks Saturday at 2pm, which should have been 5.95+3.50 = $ 9.45… drink total came to $ 18(??) We asked about this and they pointed to the menu, which said exactly the text I put in quotations above. Then they explained we didn’t order brunch… I had scrambled eggs with toast, home fries and a bloody mary at 2pm, how is that not brunch?! Apparently to get this«special,» you need to order one of the items off of their illegibly handwritten brunch menu, not their breakfast or lunch menu — eggs don’t count and neither do sandwiches. FALSEADVERTISING. Couldn’t the waiter have said something when we pointed to the special on the menu and said«2 bloody marys»? Why not just be fucking honest? People will leave you a better tip. Edit: Wish I had checked Unilocal reviews first because apparently other Unilocalers have had the same problem. Omelets don’t count either.

The 1st thing that threw me off was I ordered fresh squeezed OJ and regular canned OJ come out … As if I wasn’t able to tell. The food was not that good at all except my husbands burger. The service was attentive hence 2 stars vs 1. Issue with a bill not added up properly. Basically I do not recommend nor will ever go there again. I doubt the place will survive with so many excellent places to eat.

Food was horrible. Worst Tuna Melt I’ve ever had. Waitress was nice. That’s the only reason for the 2 stars. Will try them again, but not a great experience this time. :(

Overpriced and poor quality. We’ve ordered from them a few times in the past few months and each time were disappointed. They charge nearly $ 8 for chicken fingers and charge an extra $ 5 for fries(sometimes less-they seem to make up the prices as they go) — and for all that you get 4 chicken fingers and barely any french fries either way. We’ve also ordered the turkey burger and hamburger which were both inedible. This is not to mention that the guys on the phone are very nasty. We had to call back twice for them forgetting something and each time we were spoken to harshly and once told that we would«have to wait» since they had a lot of orders. Do yourself a favor and call Pete’s Grill if you’re looking for a good diner in the area.

Eggs Benedict never disappoints and they don’t make a big deal over modifications. Delivery is always reasonably quick and easy and it’s a good place if you need a break from the different flavors of Sunnyside.

It’s a pretty ok diner. I went in once for just a chicken soup and tried to pay with credit card and the guy was SOPISSED. I bought a piece of pie to meet the credit card minimum, but he was so old school he still treated me like a spoiled millennial/shady criminal for not paying cash.

Great food that is made specifically to the order. The 2 stars off comes from the delivery. Every time it is delivered, the drink is not standing straight up and has soaked the entire entrée.

Foxy Diner is conveniently located on Queens Blvd. next to the funeral home and Molly Blooms between 43rd and 44th St,(NOT45th and 46th) and a great alternative to New Post Coffee Shop(when closed) a couple blocks down on 40th St. Quality breakfast and quality service for a reasonable price. I ordered the Western omelette with onion, peppers, and ham, which came with a side of 2 toasts, and home fries. The highlight was the home fries– hearty, slightly burnt and crispy, and adequately filling. I wanted to ask for a whole plate of home fries and 5 orders of home fries to-go. WHATDIDTHEFOXSAY! Home fries. Foxy’s is where you can enjoy a simple American breakfast. Don’t leave without trying the home fries.

Pretty decent diner! This was my first time placing a take-out order and I called as soon as I got service from the 7train. My order was ready in minutes! Although, when I did walk-in, the place was pretty empty, except for a sweet older couple in the corner that looked like they’ve been there for hours(or days). Cute set-up inside, fixture lighting was dimmer than most diners I’ve been too but that was no bother. FOODTALK: In the mood for a salad? Definitely try the WALDORFSALAD $ 11.95-already comes with«chargrilled chicken» so no additional charge. Big globs of blue cheese, however they didn’t have blue cheese dressing which was a little weird? The hugely slices apples were fresh and crisp. And the greens were not wilted at all. Very filling and can definitely be shared by two people for an appetizer. Another salad that I ordered, which I doubt I would order again, unless deconstructed was their own«5150SALAD» $ 12.95. This salad came with mesclun greens, which I loved. My 1st impression was where’s the chicken. If not stated«char-grilled» the chicken will come looking like pale stripes of tasteless raw chicken. The ingredients to this salad sounded good on the menu but after opening it up, there was no way I would mix large sliced oranges, fresh avocado(tasted delicious on it’s own), stripes of fresh mozzarella, hidden turkey bacon on the bottom, and long stripes of carrots& onions all in one. Too much going on. Nonetheless, half the ingredients were put to the side for later. Of course to each there own tasting but for future salad-buying purposes, I would order a salad with fewer ingredients. Tip: When ordering a salad with chicken, specify the way you want your chicken cooked, to avoid surprises! Would I order food from Foxys again? Probably. If there was something else that caught my eye, I was closer to Foxys than I was Pete’s, and I was really craving diner food.
