Always go back to this place. Boba here never disappoints. Taro Jelly Lover and Coconut are my favorites. They also have something delightful called bursting boba, pretty awesome, that!

I have been going to this place since it opened, a regular, usually at least once a week. It is not what it once was. I will never return. Overpriced, tepid, and the people behind the register are so afraid of management that, on first glance, one would be convinced they lack souls. I am not angry. I am not sad. I am regretful: how did it come to this? Where are the people who smiled when they greeted you and convincingly pretended to care about how your day has been? When did a drink that costs $ 0.87 to make suddenly cost $ 5.50 to buy? How do you justify a 237% price increase over a period of 2 years? Hey, owner: don’t bother trying to «make this right» and save yourself a hit to your rating. I am not interested in any kind of compensation. Feel free to respond via this review or in private if you have any questions or comments. You know how to get a hold of me. Other than that though, I hope your sons excel. They’re actually pretty good kids and I think it’s awesome you appointed them as managers of your establishment.

I have been coming here since they opened about 2 years ago and love the vietnamese deserts and the pearl teas. The boba pearls have always been soft, chewy and good. They are located in downtown Sunnyvale a short block from Murphy Ave. It’s right next to Rokko Japanese restaurant and there is a parking lot next to Rokko. Looks like they raised prices recently and the #1 desert drink I usually get is $ 5.75.(One size only 16 oz) It has fresh coconut water, crushed ice, basil seeds(similar to chia seed), green jelly, coconut strips, and logan. I usually order without logan. It’s pretty refreshing. Today, I left like Jasmine green milk tea $ 4.00. The milk teas prices now include 2 toppings so I got boba pearls and tiny lychee jelly. It was perfect. They have clean bathroom, one sofa, free wifi, and even a small meeting room in the back. They now use the five star loyalty card.

Let’s start off by adding that it is very beautiful and has a perfect location right on the corner of the entry to downtown being on the main strip you have bars restaurants and venues nearby. Now the menu is beautiful there are all kinds of boba drinks teas and coffees to select from a good plentiful to the eyes. It is built like a mini lounge with couches and comfortable seating areas and beautiful tables if you want to sit and have a snack. I came for the hot chocolate on a cold brisk day at night to drive home. There is nearby parking across the street a short walk if you don’t see parking on the main strip or in front of the store. The coffee was delicious the hot chocolate was delicious I didn’t know what to do with myself but I was happy when I left a suggestion would be to come here for the hot chocolate

This is a pretty unique place and a fantastic addition to downtown Sunnyvale. There’s a lot of choice these days when it comes to milk tea, but what about Vietnamese desserts? These beauties are essentially asian fruit, jellies, and beans, layered in a cup with coconut milk. The have a bunch of ready made combos that you can choose from, or you can make your own with whatever toppings you desire. A little bit of advice for the owners… add a list of toppings next to your menu! Otherwise we have to look at the toppings under the other combos! When they add toppings… THEYADDTOPPINGS. These cups are at least 2⁄3 full of toppings. The top 1⁄3 is coconut milk. I went to another location in Hawaii that mixed shaved ice with the coconut milk. They don’t do that here, but it’s still pretty good. These are filling. When you save room for dessert at the end of your meal, skip the entrée. Or maybe bring a friend and share one if it’s your first time. They have a list of their top 6 most popular combos. All safe choices :)

I love this place bc I love jelly/tapioca and this place has tons of it. Really unique place and I miss it a lot when I’m at school in NYC bc this doesn’t exist there to my knowledge. Definitely recommend trying it!

I still love this place! I get Red Bean Combo(#14 — red bean, pandan jelly, taro) with extra coconut milk. Mmm it’s SO good. My son LOVES the strawberry banana smoothie with boba, it’s the best! I wish I lived closer, I would come here a lot more often. I am happy to sit a few minutes with the wifi and the wait for my treat never seems long. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I joined their loyalty program this last visit, there is a phone app instead of punch cards now. I sure wish they had a Bambù closer to Menlo Park!

Finally! A place where I can find vietnamese chè in Sunnyvale! I’m a huge fan of the Vietnamese dessert typically made with coconut milk and other delicious sweet goodies. Their BAMBU special #1 is a must have for any newbie. It gives you a great idea of what they have to offer without being too much or too unusual to handle. I’ve tried most of their offerings and am working my way slowly through their menu. I haven’t found one that I haven’t liked yet. I think it depends on your mood and how hungry you are. Some of these desserts can be quite filling and might be a meal on it’s own. Having beans and milk in something totally counts as a well balanced meal, doesn’t it? :) Prices are a bit expensive, compared to traditional places, but I can usually make mine stretch into two servings.

Grabbed a drink while waiting to get my oil changed. Fast and friendly service. We came when no one was there. I ordered the BAMBU special which was my favorite. Either I’m outgrowing this dessert or it wasn’t as good as I expected. Jasmine milk tea was smooth and creamy, not a strong tea flavor that usually like. Clean place though.

This place is pretty good for something different. I don’t know what is «authentic» but I have been satisfied with everything I’ve tried on the dessert drinks menu. Just need to expect to get my hands a little dirty(mostly figuratively, sometimes literally) to get to all the bits and pieces they put at the bottom of the cups. The boba is decent as well; however, it’s more expensive here and not as good as other places a few miles down the road.

I like their tea. I have not been brave and experienced with new things but the ones I have tried are yummy. They just take way to long. No in and out here. I hope having Starbucks across the street wont affect business

This place is always solid. I don’t know why they have closed so many locations?! I had to drive all the way to downtown Sunnyvale… sucks. Oh, and parking is super fun around this location. *farty noise* #5…chunky avocado rules. Not overly sweet, which I love. Omg, who knew coffee jelly and avocado would be such great flavors together?! I’ve never tried anything but their drinks…

Had a pretty terrible first experience at this location. Ordered two drinks to go with specific directions to skip on the jello, confirmed my order twice, drove home and realized their was a mistake, called to ask about next steps, and was told I’d receive an email. Email never arrived. The correct drink was delicious as per usual, tossed the second drink. Just completely let down.

The green bean jelly drink with coconut milk was difficult to eat as the jelly was one big stuck together blob that was awkward to eat in front of our group. Also the coconut milk was too sweet for me and kinda runny. I tried my wife’s avocado coffee drink and I didn’t like the taste. I don’t think coffee and avocado should be in the same sentence together but it must appeal to somebody as they have a big sign on the window to promote it. Nice place to relax if you find a treat you like.

This location is not as good as others. The drinks are consistently bad(sad to say), which is confusing because it’s a franchise. Don’t they teach you the same recipe for each drink? Why do other Bambus live up to the hype and this one does not? I always order a #1 and am always disappointed on how bland it is. Yes, I just picked up some for my family out of desperation. I am only trying to give corrective criticism. I think this is a great location and would love for them to produce the same type of quality drinks so they can thrive and continue the cult following other locations have. Also, I don’t think the owners are Vietnamese. Tried ordering in Viet a couple times over the phone and got ‘huh???’ My Viet ain’t even that good, but maybe that’s why lol.

Don’t get #4(Red tapioca, mung bean, jello, grass & pandan jelly, and coconut milk Chè, $ 4.50). It was not appetizing. I thought I would try something new, and the various colors attracting my attention. Unfortunately, it only managed to disappoint. Definitely recommend the red bean options. Those are far more tasty. On the other hand, the venue here is nice. They have a comfy couch to lounge on, as well as plenty of open space to hang out.

I usually love Bambu and have been to many other locations in NorCal as well as LA area. I got #1 which has basil seeds, coconut juice, longan and pandan jelly. I replaced the longan with taro. The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because my pandan jelly was all stuck together and it was impossible to drink my drink. It was literally like a entire green glob in my drink. Also, the taro was really liquid-y and wasn’t like the taro that I’ve had at other Bambus. Probably won’t be coming back here for any of their viet dessert drinks.

I’ve only had BAMBU in Philadelphia before, and was so excited that there are so many in the South Bay! I usually get the #1 and add more red tapioca(chestnut tapioca). I did the same this time, and the drink just didn’t taste the same. My friends that I normally go to BAMBU with in Philly say that the drink wasn’t sweet enough. I don’t know — I think mine was subpar because of the Pandan Jelly(green jelly) — it was all clumped together! Bleh. What I do like about this place is the punchcard — buy 10 get 1 free! We also went about 15 min before closing(9PM), and they were so kind of let us stay while they cleaned up. We ended up staying until 9:30. Really appreciated that!

Big fan of Bambu desserts but definitely not a fan of this location. I was excited to try this location out because it’s really close to where I live and I usually go to the locations all the way in San Jose. This location is definitely a more modern looking and spacious Bambu, a little pricier, but at least they take card. I came on a Saturday night and ordered the usual, large Bambu Special #1($ 6). I get my order and the first thing I see is coconut bits instead of big coconut meat slices. I asked the worker why and all she said was«Oh, sorry we ran out of coconut» UHMM??? So basically, they ran out of coconut and put coconut juice and coconut bits from those canned coconut juices instead. WTF. You should definitely notify the customers you’re out of coconut while they are ordering something that has coconut in it… No? My drink did not taste fresh what so ever. Super disappointed and would rather make the further 20min drive for the San Jose locations.

Great place for che after a meal in downtown Sunnyvale. There are plenty of seats, a small sofa, and a quiet back room(for studying). The staff here the last few visits were friendly and courteous. The drinks are consistent with their other locations. My usually is their #4 — red tapioca, mung bean, coconut milk, jelly(i usually hold the padan jelly though). The macaroons are $ 2.25 here and are pretty good. The green tea one this evening was great. The bathroom is clean and the place well-kept. Will continue stopping by for a drink after lunch or dinner…
