Almond cappuccino hands down. Great vibes inside. Also street seating outside. Support your local coffee shop!

Meh. It has free WiFi. We ordered 2 savory crepes, a latte, and a fresh brew. The latte was mediocre. The crepes were not worth it. By this I mean I usually eat healthier and occasionally treat myself. Crepes I consider a treat. This was place isn’t worth being called a treat for the food or beverages we chose to order. It’s a serviceable neighborhood joint with comfortable seating and staff are friendly.

4 stars for products. 1 star for customer service— OK, there is just this one guy who works there– not the friendliest, very abrupt and didn’t seem to want to be there. Maybe it’s just his personality. I will have to get his name next time I’m there. Yes, I will come back because they have excellent mocha and I love their food, smoothie selections. I just hope he would smile and be more friendly. I will update my review next time.

Nice and cozy. Lots of variety, in downtown Sunnyvale so outside seating is relaxing.

I have only tried once and it’s a nice local coffee. However, I am going to try again to be sure as my almond cappuccino is a little sweet for me.

Flavored house brew one of my personal sins. I like single origin classics, but dairy — not so much. And when the soul craves a caffeinated beverage with a twist, their coconut vanilla stuff delivers.

This little café has a great atmosphere and the breakfast crêpe in particular is delicious.

I cannot recommend this place mainly because I was surprised at how unfriendly the barista was. I went in to get a boba drink(I know, I know, probably not the place to go for boba), but I also wanted a small pastry, and this place had both. I thought it a bit strange that I wasn’t greeted by the barista when it was my turn to order. I asked him how their boba drinks were made(is it actual tea, or are they syrups? does it contain milk?), and during this interaction, I felt as though the barista couldn’t be bothered by my questions. When it came time to pay, the whole transaction was silent. First no greeting, and now no thank you. I didn’t even know when my drink was ready. He had simply placed it on the counter without telling me. I paid nearly $ 9(nine! and no tip for you, sir), for an average boba drink and an overly sweet, dry piece of mango cake. I didn’t expect to get a great boba drink here, so I might’ve given this place another shot despite the poor mango cake, if it weren’t for the rude barista. I will not be coming back.

Had the veggie crêpe and almond joy latte with almond milk. The sweetness in the latte balanced out the savoryness of the crêpe, although the almond latte was a little too sweet for my preference. The veggie crêpe had cheese, red onion, spinach, mushroom, bell peppers and tomato. Located in the small downtown Sunnyvale, this place is a nice spacious Italian coffee place with outdoor seating. I like that there is no wifi password necessary which makes getting onto wifi quick, easy, and hassle-free. Perfect place to study on a Sunday morning, do a little work, or even catch up with a couple friends.

I love The Bean! The breakfast sandwiches are very good. The coffee is always fresh and tasty. I love the great selection of drinks. Piña islander is great over ice! The best thing about the bean scene is the great atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and the employees are always happy to see you. They consistently go above and beyond to make customers happy. Visiting the bean scene is a regular part of my day because of their friendly faces.

Reasonable pricing for a cup of joe. Great escape to catch-up on work/homework with a snack, dessert, and/or latte. Lots of outlets so you won’t run out of charge. It is a cute small café in the heart of downtown Sunnyvale.

Neat spot | Fan of their Menu $ Our friend who lives in the area took us to this place for breakfast. We ordered and sat on one of their cool couches :) We ordered a breakfast bagel(the egg and bacon one, of course!) and split a strawberry banana smoothie. It had really hit the spot. Their ingredients taste natural and fresh. I’d like to go back and try their other smoothies/juice blends. I really like the location that it’s in. One thing I’d like to note is this funky table that turns into a desk when you lift the top. I would’ve never known if I didn’t see this guy use it! So, it is a great place to also work on your computer.

Before I hopped on a Cal Train I was in Downtown Sunnyvale at Philz grabbing a cup of coffee when they told me they were pretty much out of all breakfast items. To avoid turning into my «hangry» personality, I decided to wander into Bean Scene to check out their breakfast options. I ordered a breakfast burrito(eggs, sausage, cheese). Took about 5 – 10 min for it to come out so I got it to go for the train ride. It was a very solid breakfast burrito. Definitely very protein oriented(which I like), and although it was very simple it was pretty darn good. I will definitely be back to check out their coffee and other breakfast plates. Seems like a cute spot to grab breakfast on the weekends!

The coffee was tasty. They have several choices of brewed coffee with the tasting notes. I had one called mocha which said it had hints of wine. I didn’t taste the wine though. I also had a lox bagel. There was plenty of salmon which was good. I had the café au lait. At this place, they give you the mug. You get your own coffee. Then you bring back the mug and they add the steamed milk.

–1: Asked for a mocha freeze without whipped cream, but they gave it to me with whipped cream. Which is always okay, cause people make mistakes, but the guy looked so annoyed when i asked him to remove it. Yo I’m your customer, cmon, at least fake a «im so happy to help» face pls. ty. –1: My friend ordered a roast beef hot sandwich. We waited for about 5 – 10 minutes, and after not receiving it or hearing that the order was done, I went to the counter to check on it. There was a sandwich sitting there, so I asked one of workers what order it was. She looked at it, said«Oh, I don’t know» and continued to do whatever she was doing. Not helpful at all. I looked at the plate more, confirmed that it was indeed a roast beef hot sandwich(mostly guessed) and just took it. Pretty sure i was correct cause we didn’t hear anything for the next two hours we were there. –1: It wasn’t like they were busy or anything either; it was always half full from when we got there to when we left. And it didn’t help that the tiny sandwich was like $ 8, and my not-so-good, overhyped drink was $ 4+. not going there again, I’ll try Coffee&More down the street next time.

I would say my first experience here gives it 5 stars ! I was going to go to Coffee&More which is like a 1 minute walk away, but since the sign on the door said it would close at 2PM today, I decided to come here instead. I was a bit wary about coming here since the Unilocal reviews made it seem like it would be packed, but it was only like 50% full so it was OK. I ordered a large almond joy with almond milk and a quiche and tipped 15%(cheapest preset on the iPad) and the total was $ 13. I think the quiche was good but a little too rich and cheesy for me. I liked the drink a lot though – especially because the mug is GINORMOUS! Larger than a large size I get at other places! Wifi speed is about 12 Mbps, which is OK despite the amount of people, since I think most laptop users are here to work and send emails and stuff. A good place for me to sit and watch Law and Order, lol.

Sometimes when the night is winding down you need that small little pick me up to drive home. After Tarragon my body was saying almond milk latte. The ladies behind the bar were friendly and all of our orders(there were 4) were correct. Having lots of milk options was nice since I do not always want soy. Their almond milk is unsweetened which is a huge plus for me. In looking at the pastries I did a double take. mango cake? some crazy layered cake? Where has this stuff been??? I must go back and investigate… More to be continued.

Cozy little café. Good to hangout or work from here. Don’t like their latte and croissant but do like cappuccino. Smiley staff:)
