No doubt, best place for Chicken wings! I recommend to to try their soy garlic chicken. I also like their fries and kimchi coleslaw. Great place to come with friends. You should order some cocktail soju or Korean beer. You have to wait too long sometimes to be sorted which can be very annoying.

Simple but Nom Came here for lunch with a friend and it was absolutely heaving. Despite the madness we were seated kinda quickly and the server didn’t look too flustered. We both ordered the small wings — mine with kimchi coleslaw(which was lovely) and her with rice. We also got a side order of potstickers(a must) and soft drinks(literally a can with a straw). A great quick bite to have for lunch when you don’t have all day.

Bön Chon Chicken. Literally one of my favorite chicken wing stop to eat at. Every time I come here, I usually get the 20 pieces of chicken wing — half spicy half normal. As for my sides, I tend to get one order of rice and the other kimchi coleslaw. You can’t go wrong with that. The wings are usually pretty large and filling. I am usually a big eater so the rice is just there to fill me up. The flavor profile on both types of chicken wing is phenomenal. I love it. I even tried to recreate it but I can hardly succeed. Far off from perfect like bonchon’s. The texture is also perfect. The chicken is fried perfectly and with every bite, you can hear just how crispy it is. Their kimchi coleslaw is also a delight. I love mixing it with my rice so the rice isn’t as plain as it would. When I last went here, I went with my girlfriend and 2 other friends. We had to wait maybe around 10 minutes before getting seated as there is usually a waitlist. We had 40 wings total and a garlic fries. The fries was also great. I can definitely taste the garlic flavor, which I liked. The atmosphere was nice although it is a bit crowded(it is pretty small inside). The server in charge of our table took good care of our drinks as she constantly refilled our cups whenever it reached low. As a big drinker, it helped allow me enjoy my lunch a lot better because I need to drink water in order to eat. Overall, the quality of the food was perfect, the service was good, and the atmosphere was friendly. Hands down will come again whenever I am in the area.

Potstickers: garlic soy and spicy garlic soy. LOVETHESE!!! 5⁄5 Wings: you def get more flavor with the wings! Half garlic soy and half spicy garlic soy yesssss! 5⁄5 Kid friendly. They accept card! Tip: arrive right when they open or during off peak hours. It can get crowded!

So I thought it was time to write a review about Bön Chon. My co-workers and I would frequent this little shop during lunch once a week which can lead to a 20 minute wait between opening and 1:00pm. Now everyone who has visited Bön Chon comes here for a simple reason. Simple, flavorful food that just soothes your soul. This is not KFC, Popeye’s or Wing Stop. And for those who compares Bön Chon with Wing Stop. Just stop. Sure Wing Stop has a variety of flavors but their flavor is inconsistent and can be dry at times or at times the dry ingredients that was supposed to fried/baked. Unlike Bön Chon, the flavor here is always the same and never changes. Even the heat on their Spicy Chicken is consistent. It’s just that good. Try this place out. You be the judge but be a unbiased judge. Come here hungry and leave happy. You will find yourself back here again.

This is the go-to place for Korean fried chicken. I haven’t had anything else in norcal or socal that tastes better. Their fried chicken stays crispy since it’s not slathered in sauce, but it remains flavorful with a light glaze. Their chicken menu is simple. There are 2 flavors only: soy garlic and spicy soy garlic. For 2 people, I recommend getting the large combo to share. You’ll be well-fed and have leftovers to take home. A large order also gets you 2 flavors and 2 sides(plus picked radish). I enjoy the rice and normal coleslaw with my chicken, but they also offer biscuit and kimchi coleslaw. Their yogurt soju is also tasty. This place can get crowded on Friday and weekend nights, but the waits are not terribly long. I highly recommend this place.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to chicken wings. I’m lazy and I grew up never eating them or drumsticks so I like to eat white meat(aka chicken strips or pieces and all my friends make fun of me). My best friend and I got to Bön Chon around an hour before they closed. She was going to get the small and I was going to get the medium but then it just made more sense to get and share the large. Unfortunately, they only had chicken wings left so we ordered half/half with both flavors: garlic soy chicken and spicy hot garlic sauce. The food came out really quickly. We also ordered rice and kimchi coleslaw with our food. I tried the kimchi coleslaw first. Although I personally don’t like coleslaw, the kimchi coleslaw was pretty good. It was the perfect amount of spicy and a great compliment to the fried wings. As for the wings, damn. Definitely the best wing place I’ve ever been to(reserving my judgment for San Tung though). I loved the garlic soy chicken. The chicken was perfectly crispy without being overdone. The breading and flavor was absolutely delicious. It wasn’t too strong or salty. It was the exact right amount of savory flavor that complimented the chicken wing meat. I also tried the spicy flavor. I recommend this only for people who like or can eat spicy food. I had a hard time eating it as it was actually significantly spicy. The flavor creeps on you! It was still good though but both my friend and I(and she likes spicy food) agreed that the garlic soy chicken was better! The spicy hot flavor is more tangy and it’s definitely a hit or miss depending on what kind of spicy you like. This place is the definition of quality AND quantity. For the large, about half of it was leftover for us to take home and we ended up paying about $ 28 total(including tip) for the whole meal. That was only $ 14 per person.

This place is great. I went here with my friend for his birthday and we definitely left full and satisfied. We went with the LARGEMIXED option, with wings and drumsticks. As for quantity, definitely enough for 2(if you’re a big eater) to 3 or maybe 4 people. My friend and I finished everything, and I even had to finish some of his portion. As for the food itself, the chicken is fantastic. They don’t have many flavor options, but the few they do have are on point. Very unique, not too salty, not too sweet, not too strong. The chicken is seriously fried perfectly. It comes out extremely flakey, the skin flakes off of the meat, and it is not greasy. The side items were awesome as well. The coleslaw was unique and amazing. We wished we went with biscuits instead of rice because they looked delicious on other people’s plates and they give you two with an order! Definitely will be back here.

It was my first time having Korean Fried Chicken and I was thoroughly pleased. It was a bit different from fried chicken you can get at Wingstop or Smoke Eaters. This kind of reminds me of the Fish Sauce fried chicken wings in the Vietnamese cuisine. My friend and I got a large order of soy garlic chicken and curly fries. I was satisfied with the taste, texture, and cook of the meat. It is nice and crunchy on the outside yet the meat was still juicy and flavorful. They have pretty awesome combos that you can choose from if you come in a larger party and you want to DRANK. Definitely need to make my way back here again with a bigger party. Wait is usually pretty long… due to the size of the place. It’s not Gen wait line crazy, but still long. But it’s well worth it, I promise.

This place is amazing! It is a bit of a drive for us but it’s worth it! The service here is great. We waited 20 minutes for a group of 5 around 1:30pm which was expected because this restaurant is pretty tiny. Waitresses constantly check on you and refill your water. The appetizers came out fast and hot! We ordered zucchini fries and seasoned curly fries which were both pretty tasty. The soy garlic chicken is spot on! The biscuits were a little too dense for my taste. However, the chicken meat is moist and juicy, while the chicken skin is crunchy and covered in a sweet glaze. For 4 big guys and a small girl like myself, we ordered 2 larges and 2 appetizers. $ 60 total + tip which is a pretty darn good deal. My boyfriend also asked one of the waiters to turn the channel to the New England game and they kindly changed it for us so we could enjoy the game with our chicken wings. Great service. Amazing food. Great deal for your money. But do expect a bit of a wait because this place is pretty small.

I didn’t get the full experience because I ordered take out. We got our food quick(about 10 minutes). By the time we got home, the chicken was not as crispy as other reviews say it should be. I’m so sad… I will be back to try it again! We ordered mixed in soy garlic sauce. I didn’t taste the garlic… It was sweet like honey glazed with a hint of soy sauce though. I prefer the wings(white meat) over the drumstick(dark meat) even though wings are literally half the size of the drumstick.(99 chicken has bigger wings by the way.) The sides were okay. Their rice tasted like how rice should. Their coleslaw is not something I would want to try again though…

We’ve got some pretty good fried chicken in Seattle, even Korean fried chicken with kimchi and rice, but I was still excited to try Bön Chon Chicken after reading so many rave reviews. It totally lived up to the hype for us, even with the crazy busy lines. We went to the Sunnyvale location at 8 pm on a Wednesday, and apparently we picked the worst possible time to go. There were several groups standing outside waiting, and when we put our names in we saw that there were more people waiting inside. Ordering for pickup seemed to go a lot faster, but we didn’t have anywhere to take the food, so we had to wait for a table. There were a lot of large groups, which they accommodate by putting together and breaking up small tables, so seating is pretty flexible and it just depends on who’s ahead of you. The menu is pretty minimal, which I like… after all, you’re there for the chicken, right? We got a mix of wings and drumsticks with both spicy and soy garlic sauce(which comes with a small dish of daikon), and a side of kimchi coleslaw, plus a small carafe of mango soju. Both sauces were good, but we preferred the less spicy soy garlic. The kimchi slaw wasn’t terribly hot, but it had an interesting texture and was pretty good. The mango soju was darn tasty and that carafe disappeared quickly! I don’t see it on their menu, but they also offer bigger combos with more chicken and more sides if you’ve got a larger group, which seem like a good value. The atmosphere is loud and lively, and most tables were either families or groups of friends. After ordering, our food came out pretty quickly, and tables seem to turn over fairly fast. Overall, a fun place with REALLY good chicken wings!

OMG. I love this place! I got here right when they opened for lunch, and it started filling up quickly. Ordered the hot pot stickers and large 20 pcs wing half and half(spicy & soy garlic) to share with my cousin. It comes with 2 sides so we chose rice and kimchi coleslaw. The service was excellent, and our food came out within a few mins. The hot pot stickers were so freakin good and spicy!!! If you love spicy get their pot stickers! :) The wings were yummy and flavorful, and the spicy one just has a tiny kick to it. The kimchi coleslaw, however just tasted like regular coleslaw. But other than that, I definitely will be back!

3.5 stars. The batter used on the chicken is unique and not oily and well seasoned but the chicken meat itself could have been more juicier, tender, and moist. Was told to eat in late afternoon here to avoid the long waits and after eating here I would never wait a long time for this. Definitely overhyped in my books. It was okay. The main thing to brag about this place is their batter on the chicken and how non-oily they kept it after frying it. The chicken meat itself could definitely been better. I tried the coleslaw as my side which was good. I’m usually not a fan of coleslaw but it paired well with fried chicken. I tried both the regular(garlic soy sauce) and the spicy option. They didn’t drizzle much of the sauce on the chicken which would have been better but it still wouldn’t have saved the chicken from being more moist/juicy. The place is relatively tiny in size and that’s probably why there’s a wait. I’m mixed here, not sure if I will want to proactively come back to eat here again.

Out of the Korean Fried Chicken restaurants, this is definitely one of the best IMO. I don’t know how they do it, but wow the batter they use is perfectly crispy and seasoned and the chicken is SUPER juicy and flavorful! I love it! I usually order the medium mixed spicy soy garlic which comes with 2 drumsticks and 6 wings and kimchi coleslaw. Once you take a bite, it impossible to stop! This place definitely knows how to cook fried chicken! What makes this place great is their batter. It’s very flavorful and crispy which is a huge plus for me. Unfortunately, the place is pretty small so it does get packed. Make sure to sign your name on the list right when you get in. Overall, the food is bomb, the place looks nice, and they serve alcohol. All the things you need for success!

The first time I ever had bonchon I was craving it so hard almost everyday I had to get my weekly fix. The first time it’s amazing but now that I eat it it’s kind of like any other chicken wing spot to me now. Small restaurant and it does get busy When it does I suggest to go. The workers are really helpful And the pricing is good My BF and I usually get(20 $) 20wings and only eat 10(every time!) But there’s just something about the smell that makes me feel a little sick and I don’t feel very well either after a meal here. But that’s just me. BUUUUT I do always recommend Bön chon for anyone to try, first time is always amazing. waiting for the Fremont location to open up !

Great, crunchy chicken! Second time for me, first for my husband. We arrived just after opening Sunday morning at 11:35a. The wait was a little long for the food to come out but understandable because all first orders came in at the same time. The kimchi coleslaw is delicious. The fries were crunchy and perfectly salty(order a lg)! Ordered a Cesar Salad and was bigger than expected. Enough to share for 3 ppl. The food is on point! No qualms. I’ll order again! My biggest issue was the condition of the hallway to the bathrooms and the grossness of the women’s bathroom(we were first patrons there for the day). They need professional cleaners who just don’t clean the toilet and sink. The walls and floors were very dirty. They kept a broken and dirty toilet brush– I wouldn’t use it to clean. They need fresh paint and tile and light in the hallway to the bathrooms. Clean the bathroom very well, include floors and walls(around the toilet).

Yummy! I’ve heard a lot about Bonchon from my bf who ate it many times in NYC and my friend who lives in the area and I’m glad I got to try it! I love korean fried chicken(and fried chicken in general) :D and Bonchon is pretty darn delicious. We came here on a Sunday afternoon around 4:45pm and we were hungryyy. Between the 3 of us, we wanted two large orders of wings(20 pieces per order) but they were running low on wings or something so we could only get 32 wings and 4 drumsticks. We did the half spicy and half non spicy with the kimchi coleslaw and biscuits as sides. The chicken itself is super good! Very crispy and crunchy skin and the sauce is so flavorful. Kimchi coleslaw was okay — not very kimchi, only spiciness. Biscuit was good, nothing special about it. Service was friendly and fast. Our food came out super quick and we never had trouble finding someone when we needed something. They do a brisk take-out business as well. Parking is a plenty in the parking lot. Would definitely come back!

Wings… oh man, Bön Chon truly knows how to fulfill my cravings for wings! After spending the early afternoon expiring The Computer History Museum, we were incredibly hungry and wanted wings. But not from anywhere… from Bön Chon! I had heard amazing things about this place from fellow Unilocalers and it’s one of those places that I’ve been wanting to check out in Sunnyvale. Since It was my first time, i thought it would be best to try a mix of everything: wings and drums, dark and white meat, and flavors(garlic soy & spicy garlic soy). Overall, everything was so good and I highly recommend getting the variety, unless you’re not the biggest fan of spicy or dark/white meat. From the crispy but incredibly flavorful skin… to the juicy meat… oh man, I couldn’t find any negatives and I’m ready to go for round 2 as I write this review!

Came here last week with my friend because we were craving KFC(Korean Fried Chicken). We arrived around 6:45pm on a Wednesday, and luckily, we were seated immediately, but I think we took the last open seats in the place, so it can get crowded. We both were pretty hungry, and we’re fairly big eaters, so we decided to go with one of their combos. I believe we chose combo c, which came with an appetizer, a large order of wings, and a large mixed soju. With the wings, we each got to choose a side. He opted for rice, and I chose the kimchi coleslaw. The large order is 20 wings, so we decided to make half of them soy garlic and the other half the spicy soy garlic version. I haven’t been here in a while, so I don’t remember if it was always this fast, but I’m pretty sure everything came out in about 5 minutes, which is super awesome. Although my best guess is that they know they get crowded, so they’re constantly frying wings. Along with the wings and sides, there is also a dish of pickled radish, which I super love. I immediately dug into on of the spicy wings, and oh boy. Their wings have a really nice crunch, and they were nice and hot. The friend I dined with considers Bön Chon the best KFC around this area, and although I’m not sure if I 100% agree, it’s definitely up there. For our appetizer, we ordered the popcorn shrimp and onion rings, which was served with a cocktail kind of sauce. It’s pretty much what you’d expect to get, but again they were also cooked well and had a good crisp. For the soju, we went with the peach flavor because in my experience, for some reason the peach soju always tastes the best. Again pretty standard peach soju flavor, but the pitcher was a pretty big and filling size for 2 people, so that was cool. At the end of the meal, both of us were actually still a bit hungry, but that’s because we’re fatasses, but we decided against ordering more because it was getting a bit late/there were people waiting to be seated, and we were satisfied enough. The total cost came to somewhere in the low 40 $ region without tax and tip, and I think for the amount of food you get it’s a pretty good deal. Also the fact that the food came out as fast as it did was pretty amazing. Additionally, our server continually checked in on us, and she wasn’t overly pushy, but she just wanted to see if we needed anything like more water or more pickled radishes. Overall because of amazing and fast service plus yummy crispy wings, this is definitely a 5 star in my books. Can’t wait to come back!
