Dirty! And everywhere. A worker was standing directly on the counter by the soda machine. His shoes were filthy.

I just tried to give these guys another chance. Fuckin mistake!!! Asked for tenders again. «would you like mild or spicy?» Mild I say, «sorry, don’t have any right now…» Ok I’ll take spicy., «Sorry they’re still being thawed, would you like chicken?» Ok give me the mild. «sorry, what you see in the tray is for the people ahead of you, all we have ready is spicy chicken» Ok fine, I’ll take a 3 piece to go. So I pay and wait. Orders start to pass me by and I’m starting to get pissed. So I ask How fucking long does it the to bag 3 pcs of chicken that’s already cooked from the god damn tray?! The least they could do was bag my stuff first since they are already fucked up my order from what I came in for. They all stand around not knowing what to do. By the way, my side was mash potatoes /gravy which they were out of as well. Finally I said I’ve had enough and demanded my money back. After some fumbling, they opened the register and gave me back my ~$ 5. Never again!!! This is the worse restaurant ever!!! No discount is worth this! F this place and the losers that work there!!!

Not bad… Customer service was spot on. Don’t really go to «Popeyes“so don’t know what really to base it on. Not to crowded, bathrooms & dinning area were clean & given the rudeness at Mc Donald’s today everything was good. I was pleased

I have had it with this place. Over the last year, this location has done nothing but go downhill. First they started sneaking in regular chicken instead of spicy without telling us. I can tell the difference. Then they started saying, «we’re out of spicy, do you want mild?» Popeyes isn’t the only place selling fried chicken. If I wanted mild I would go to KFC. Now they’re constantly out if stuff. Today they were out of Mac and cheese. At dinner time on a Thursday. Seriously?*Again*? Did the sous chef call in sick? Is there a cheese shortage in France? Are there no more truffles in Northern California. Did the delivery truck run late today with the weekly 300 lbs of frozen Mac & Cheese? These are all crises normal restaurants have to deal with. «It’ll take 30 minutes» So it’s none of those things. They just couldn’t be bothered to put a bag a frozen food in the microwave. You don’t even need to add water for fuck same. It’s not like I haven’t given this place chances, but for the last 3 trips they’ve fucked something like this up. I’m changing my review to 1 star to remind me to stop giving this place chances. Oh, and if you’re the owner, your employees hate you. They’ve really got to hate their job if putting a bag of pre-made Mac and Cheese in the microwave really too hard to be bothered with.

I ordered two large sides of Mac n’ Cheese from this Popeyes on 9÷15÷15 around 6:00pm. The first was your standard corporate mac n’ cheese. Exactly what I expected. The second side looked pre-chewed. It wasn’t. I think it was the scrappings from the bottom of the container. Where none of the noodles are whole. An unplesant smoky flavor was present. Noodles were soggy. No cheese sauce was left surrounding the noodles since it had all been soaked in. As an effect, it had a pre-chewed mouth feel. I went to their online site to complain about it first. But Mac n’ Cheese isn’t listed under sides, or anywhere else for that matter. And the only comment section is about the online system not the food. So it was pretty useless. And now I’m here. They get an extra star though for the good container of Mac n’ Cheese as well as fast and polite customer service.

Service and feel is just like any other fast food chains like McD. But the food is not so good. I would prefer KFC instead.

I guess places like this don’t care if they alienate customers because people just keep coming no matter what. I’ve had mostly good experiences here until the last one, which has probably done me in, because my previous dealings with a different Popeyes has just shown me that corporate really doesn’t care what the franchisers do in their name. Long story short, there is a Popeyes in San Jose that is the worst run of any business of any sort I’ve ever seen. Rude, obnoxious, arrogant, dirty, dishonest, you name it. Looks like this is not isolated to just San Jose. At the Sunnyvale location things got off to a rocky start when they opened years ago because they didn’t accept debit cards. Cash only, and wouldn’t you know, they just happened to have a convenient ATM machine on site that only charged you an extra $ 2 per withdrawal. In the days of virtually no one carrying cash, they were essentially charging you a cover for chicken. Eventually, and I imagine after much complaining(and probably threats to talk to BBB), they began to take cards. I don’t know when it happened because I stopped going, refusing to be extorted. I returned only after I heard they took debit. This location is always hard to get to because of the traffic on El Camino. Coming out of the parking lot can be a pain and parking is always difficult. Despite this, there will be a long wait at lunch for food. Try to avoid it at noon M-F. Well, no matter what, this Popeyes seems to now be stooping to a move I’ve heard other ones are resorting to, which is either shorting your piece count or giving you cherry picked, substandard pieces. My last visit I got the 8 piece meal. Regular 8 piece meal with a side, nothing kinky, not dark-meat-only nonsense or anything else.(Let’s be real– no one opens their box of chicken and counts pieces or otherwise audits them for quality. Perhaps I should from here out.) I got the food home; about a 15 minute drive. When I opened the box I saw my 8 pieces consisted of 4 drumsticks, 2 meager wings and 2 thighs. Definitely not a good value for the $ 20 I just laid down. I inspected the receipt to see if there was a disclaimer. It said«8PC mixed». Hm. I don’t remember anything when I ordered about getting cheated out of sizable pieces, getting the smallest, cheapest, meatless parts. Last time I checked a whole chicken(8 pieces) consisted of 2 breasts, 2 wings, 2 thighs and 2 legs. There had been a pile of chicken when I ordered and it was outside peak hours, so they obviously cherry picked the most meager portions. Why, I couldn’t say, other than spite. The food is already cooked and they don’t sell it by weight but rather by the piece. To give me scraps makes no sense other than them being hateful. Whatever the reason I doubt I’ll be back now that this one is also playing games. It’s sad, because I truly love their chicken. I just hate what the franchisers are doing.

I can never look at Popeyes the same again. I found a cockroach crawling on the floor. The employees said they come out during summer and squished it. Freaking gross I will never ever eat there again.

It was with much anticipation that we checked this place out, We had heard so much about it that it seemed to have the potential to be the best fast food joint out there. No, its not, but its not bad either. The Red Stick Chicken was decent, its spicy and you do get four pieces of white meat but they are pitifully small pieces. Its supposed to come with dipping sauce which it didn’t and we we asked them about it they tried to give us ketchup. The fish Po’ Boy was actually decent compared to other fast food places. The others give you a tiny square piece of fish that leaves you very hungry. Popeye’s gives you two generous fillets in one sandwich. There is a tiny bit of shredded lettuce and two microscopic slices of pickle. Its a humble sandwich on the usual fast food wimpy white bread mushy bun but one of these actually is satisfying. The downside of this place is that this place seems to be run by people who just don’t care. The Dr Pepper dispenser had not worked all week long. We asked about it because that is the only flavor my guest likes. They said they would look at it, but ignored it. We later found out that they knew it was broken for the past week and just ignored it. Tables dirty AC full power, it was freezing and they wouldn’t turn it down. Didn’t offer us dipping sauces The menus are very confusing, we had to walk around the place looking at their advertising posters in order to figure out what to order. The staff was lackadaisical and unresponsive. Its worth trying out to see how you like your food, just be aware that its poorly managed and you feel like you’re eating an an inner city hole in the wall.

I’ve tried this chain 4 times, now. Every time I ‘try’ it, I end up with a stomach ache. I don’t know if it’s the oil they use, but no other food makes my stomach feel like it’s cramping after I eat. I’m taking a pass on this chain from now on.

Come here when I crave some chicken and happen to be near. People there friendly greet you as you enter the place(: Medium Place. Kept Clean. Everything is prepared and ready to go after a few mins. Last time I went got some fish tenders and took longer to cook so stick to chicken.

Pros: ~nice venue, very clean and modernized ~free refills ~good music Cons: –they put spicy stuff in EVERYTHING(all chicken and even in the mashed potatoes {not as good as you might think}) –sassy service –took over 20 minutes of waiting to get our food(it wasn’t that crowded) –drinks are very sweet –too expensive for its quality

I have worked in the food industry as a cook and a kitchen manager, and I try to be understanding when issues arise. I never want to be seen as some«food jerk» who makes food service workers cry, but tonight was just beyond ridiculous. I ordered two 1 piece chicken/popcorn shrimp combos. One with fries as the side, and one with mashed potatoes and gravy as the side. After I ordered, I noticed that nearly every customer ahead of me was returning their order due to some kind of mess-up. I checked my order over(apparently not well enough) and noticed that they did not honor my strips instead of a chicken thigh substitution. The funny thing is, the cashier was the one who suggested that I substitute it instead of ordering strips and shrimp separately. This is NOT the first time that this has happened, as this has happened at several other locations as well. Shame on me for preferring chicken strips over bone-in chicken. The employee took the chicken thigh out of my box and put it BACKUNDERTHEHOTLINE. Not that I am the type to eat food and then give it back, but come on, everyone knows that’s a contamination issue. If she didn’t want me to keep the chicken to reconcile the issue, she should have just thrown it away. I certainly wouldn’t want to eat chicken that had been served to someone else. Also, I had paid for two pies, and when I showed her my receipt to prove that I had paid for two, she rolled her eyes at me. When I got it home, I noticed that both combos were with fries, not one with fries and one with mashed potatoes. The shrimp had obviously been fried more than once, and was rubber band-like and inedible. I really don’t understand why there were so many inaccuracies with my order tonight. On the bright side, my fries were almost warm, and my chicken strips tasted delicious! Here’s hoping this location learns to focus on quality checking each box for accuracy before they go out to each customer. I hope they can train their employees on the proper procedures in preventing contamination, and the proper way to serve FRESHLY fried food, because fried-six-times-shrimp, almost warm fries, and contaminated chicken have never been on the Popeyes menu.

No stars! I know this is a fast food chain but it is the most horrible service I have ever had. I am writing this while actually still waiting for my order which was placed at least 25 min ago. Just terrible. And the cashier, Karen H. She needs to go! So rude!!! I got a refund for my order and the food for free becauae I complained to the manager. But I think everyone in the store at that time deserved the same.

4.5 stars(: I don’t go to Popeye’s as much as I used to anymore solely due to their high prices(for fast food.) Their food is usually pretty good, even if sometimes not as fresh. Their portions also seem rather inconsistent due to the variation in the size of the chicken tender/nugget pieces. My visit today was perfect though — There was no line when we arrived and we still got our food freshly fried(vs. Pieces of chicken that had been sitting under the light for an hour.) Upon taking each bite of the chicken nugget, steam slowly flowed out of the piece of chicken in my hand and disappeared into the air. It was beautiful, really, haha. My bf really wanted tenders today so he got the 5-piece tenders combo at the(seemingly) ridiculous price of $ 9.99. Chicken tenders elsewhere are usually only about $ 7, if you exclude those sold at baseball stadiums. When our number was called, the first thing we noticed was how much food they gave us. The chicken tenders my bf got was piled so high and it suddenly seemed worth the $ 9.99. My chicken nuggets combo on the otherhand looked very lame next to his, but nevertheless much more filling than I expected! The cashier was fairly professional, no smiles but I didn’t mind because she was pretty polite/accommodating. Lastly, their sauce selection is kinda lacking. The Mardi gras mustard tasted kinda like it was made with mustard and wasabi. The bbq sauce was watery but acceptable. Not a fan of any of their other sauces either so BBQ and ketchup(separately) it is.

Chicken is on point here in this location! It kills most of the fast food/restaurant chicken around here lol Service is ok and they aren’t stingy with giving you great amounts for your sides
