Any place that has ELSabroso chicharrones, Pure Leaf unsweetened iced tea and Old Trapper beef jerky is cool with me. THough more than a liquor store, it has a bunch of random groceries that are all over the ethnic scale. I think despite gender, age or race the guy up front calls everyone Bro. Interesting joint…

Sketchy place to buy any liquor besides beer, tried selling me something that wasn’t what the label said it was.

Galamart rocks. They’re two minutes from my house, they’re always open and they have almost everything in the world. Only once did I not find what I wanted. I needed windshield washer fluid, which I had no reason to think I would find in a convenience store, and they didn’t have it. But they said they’d get some if I wanted them to! Now that’s service. They’re unfailingly friendly and helpful. They have very reasonable prices on beer. They have an amazing wine selection and offer suggestions if I’m debating between wines. They even carry stuff out to my car for me. If they’re not the cheapest, well, that’s the trade-off for the fact that they’re always there for you, 24⁄7. In response to the lady’s review about porn, the magazine rack is toward the back, but I have never seen any overtly offensive publications on it that would be accessible to children — only motorcycle or tattoo magazines, available at any 7 – 11. They carry what sells! They can’t control who hangs out on the sidewalk adjacent to the building, but I’ve never felt intimidated there, inside or out. And if they’re selling condoms, God bless them. They’re saving lives. I’m just glad they’re here when I need them(the store, not the condoms).

If I could give this place a minus 10 I would. I have lived in this neighborhood over 31yrs and cant believe that Sunnyvale has not shut this place down. Pornography to plain sight when you walk in. Little kids can go in here and see all this stuff in plain sight. The labels of the magazines are in plain sight to the customers at front. Homeless and bummy people outside drunk. I always thought this was a nice neighborhood. I went in here for a quick soda and walked right back out. Its more like a porn shop than a convenience store. This is really wrong. Obviously this store caters to men. I thought these types of places would be shut down. This makes me sad for the depiction of women and the way men view them. Wow. They were also selling lots of condoms at the counter to a man when I came in. What a sleezy place.

Galamart is the typical corner convenience store. It is conveniently open 24 hours and a few blocks from my place, so I can go here when I’m simply too lazy to cross the street to get to Safeway. Hey, that street is El Camino Real, so you understand. I go here now and then for a quick beef jerky or a quick ginger ale. They know me pretty well. Only drawback here really is the parking. It’s a pretty tight squeeze and it’s right next to a bus stop and the Carl’s Jr parking lot. And this is only 25′ from the corner, so I can totally imagine some bad accident happening here. Come to think of it, I was biking home one day and a Ford Ranger pickup made a left into that lot without signaling and almost sideswiped me.

Much more than a simple liquor store, Gala-Mart has been around for like 20 years. It’s kind of like a swap meet meets 7 – 11 meets head shop. They have an odd variety of kitschy stuff – lighters, baseball hats, wall clocks, etc. Lots of cheapie cigars. They cash checks, for you underground people. They carry a lot of magazines, some of them of the dirty variety. Most importantly, they are open 24 hours. So, even though you may have to dodge a crackhead or two at 3 in the morning, at least this place is open. Say, what are you doing at a liquor store at 3AM anyway?
