Today, my co-worker decided to give China Moon a try. So, he ask me to go buy food at China Moon. I went there and order 4 boxes of meal. I order it and wait. And guess how long did I waited for the food. It is 40 minutes wait for just 4 order. During my waiting, I saw there is another customer piss off and left because it take so long. The one who serve me are rude. When you ask how long will it take, he will try to ignore you and keep say«It’s coming» If you only have one hour lunch time, I don’t think you want to go there. Plus the food is not good at all.

I am not sure which restaurant the previous reviewers ate at, but my experiences at China Moon have been very good. I eat out a lot at lunch and for dinner, almost every day and I eat mainly ethnic food, everything from Indian/Pakistani to Indonesian, Burmese and Thai. I would like to point out that at many of the Chinese restaurants I eat at the people are not very friendly and sometimes down right rude! I know a few in Mt. View and Sunnyvale that I vowed never to back to because of the surly attitude of the staff, I sometimes do go back, because of the food. Perhaps it’s a cultural thing but if you are new to the US, you may not be used to greeting everyone with a smile on the face and a ‘how are you?’. I lived for years in San Francisco and had similar experiences. Having said all that, I found the people at China Moon to be friendly, helpful and the service to be very good and fast. I NEVER waited more than a few minutes for my food and I have eaten there many times at lunch and dinner. Like every restaurant some of the dishes are better than others and it depends on what you like. I didn’t try the Hawaiian dishes but the Chinese dishes are very good. Their chicken broth is excellent and I really enjoy the Won Ton Noodle, the broth is very flavorful and not the watery, thin soup at so many places. The noodle dishes are also very good and I enjoy dishes like the Beef Stew, which is a stewed beef with turnips, carrots, onions, potatoes and chunks of ginger. I like the Chow Mein and they have inexpensive rice plates which I are great for lunch. The restaurant has no ambience but it is spotless. cleaner than many Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. All in all I recommend the restaurant for good, inexpensive and unpretentious food.

If you’re going to open something as ubiquitous as a Chinese restaurant, you’d better have something fabulous to offer. In this case, it definitely is not their customer service. They came to our company and left take-out menus at our reception desk.(OK, no big deal, I will add it to our restaurants list). We have a meeting this coming Thursday so I decided to order with them. Why not try something new at my company’s expense? First off, they don’t even know their own menu. They have been confused about the order from the get-go. I listed the items exactly as they appear on the menu, even including the item number for God’s sakes. I called them about 5 minutes ago to clear up any other confusion they may have. I asked for David because he was the one who has been leaving me messages. The gentleman who picks up immediately comes off as a rude a$$hole and hangs up on me after saying«David not here call back 30 minute ok». So I call back immediately. This time I made it clear I was calling in regards to the faxed order for tomorrow. He proceeded to yell at me and tell me «David not here» as if I didn’t understand that the first time. I should’ve taken it as a hint that their business obviously isn’t doing so well, therefore they must come begging for some business by soliciting. I definitely will NOT be ordering from them ever again. ***UPDATE #1 I just got off the phone with David. He is just as difficult to understand as the other guy, but is MUCH nicer. I am still not going to upgrade the stars until I taste the food. ***UPDATE #2 It is the day of our meeting at the food should have been here ten minutes ago. They came here around 10am and asked to check out credit card because it was declined over the phone(he wrote the wrong exp. date down). He assured me that the food was going to be here ONTIME. It is now noon and the company meeting is almost over. Now I have to lose face with my co workers because I couldn’t even order from a decent place. I called and he was an a$$ once again and said, «Food not done, twenty minute, bye» This has been a horrible experience. I hope we get comped. ***UPDATE #3 I am crossing my fingers and hoping I don’t get food poisoning. I think that says enough about the food.
