Taste good, the soup is delicious. But In the end, I saw a hair in my bowl. And the server just took the bowl to the kitchen, then she said refunded money to me or gave me a new one. No any«sorry», it’s seems like not their fault, it’s my fault? It’s not about money, it’s about their attitude. Really make me disappoint !!!也许他们觉得我是来吃霸王餐的吧,who knows!

Standard take-out order: Green Pepper + Egg + Noodles and the Red Pepper + Beef with a side of rice. If you’re watching your diet, this is not for you. If you want to compensate, get a side of the Tofu skin, sooooo delish.

Addiction to finding the best pickled long bean and minced pork noodle soup has brought me here! It’s so good! Even though it is one level of spicy, it will not be too spicy for you! The other types of noodle soups are also very good. The soup base for this restaurant is the spicy version of Yum Noodle and there is no option for how spicy you would like your soup. The only downfall is that this restaurant in Sunnyvale, which is slightly far for me.

The noodle soup is really good here with great service. They were able to make it the way I like it with noodle soup and fired mean on the top

Fantastic beef! Sounds like genuine Hunan-style rice noodle! The environment is pretty awesome as well. Definitely a five star restaurant. Highly recommended if you like rice noodle. It’s quite different from other noodles you can see in other Asian restaurant.

This is my first time coming here with my friends and I was so excited to see food and recipes made from my home town of Changsha in Hunan style. I ordered Stir fried pork with green paper and my favorite Hunan style rice cake. I was so impressed by the selection and the taste that I ordered two more stir fried beef with wild chili paper and spicy beef shank with noodle to go. Everything I ordered reminded me of memories of recipes from when I was a child. I love this place and I will be stopping by here often. Be sure to also try the spicy beef shank with noodles. Spicy but with so much flavor!

Mediocre at best. Soup did not have much flavor except for salt and chili oil. Meat was a colder temperature in the middle. Price to quality ratio is off. We had two bowls of noodles, and two small(small) side dishes. The total came out to over 40 dollars. I prefer a bowl of phở.

There will be some waiting during rush hour, but not that bad. They have pretty authentic Chinese style spiciness in their noodles. The beef ones are good and they are of big portion! Also I really love their green bean ‘soup’(绿豆粥). Great for summer time.

Great authentic noodles! And believe it or not, healthier because the food doesn’t have MSG, and less oily! Will come again for sure.

One word. Delish! I love the sour beans in this ground pork noodle. Drooooolll… The sour beans makes your taste buds to a whole new next level. The noodles are fresh and everything in the bowl comes together well. Haven’t tried anything else on the menu but definitely will come back to try other things. The restaurant itself is clean and I love all the wood carving frames they have hanging on the wall.

I came here today for lunch not really knowing what to expect. When my friend and I got to the restaurant, it was a full house of Chinese people. Hence, a good sign it might be good. The service here isn’t horrid, but it isn’t superb so don’t expect stellar service. Luckily their food saves them, so I’d come back even though I found most of the servers carrying a lukewarm robotic type attitude. I myself ordered a 老壇酸菜牛肉麵 while my friend ordered a 牛筋麺. Both were really good. I liked mine especially because the noodles combined with the beef and pickled vegetables had a good combination of saltiness and tartness. Friend also commented that his was really good too. We also shared a 豆腐絲 which wasn’t really out of the ordinary but was good. Out of curiosity, I tried out their 糖油粑粑 dessert since I’ve never had it. It’s good, but not my cup of tea. If you have eaten Japanese«dango» this dessert is similar to that. Overall, I’ll definitely come back to explore more of the menu.

I love spicy foooood Super fast service(even tho might have to line up for a bit), food with NOMSG, and many drinks to choose from. The noodle is really must try, only been there 2 times and I know I will be cominh here every week from now on. Comparing with other noodle restaurant… its really great that you won’t feel thirsty after the meal.

I can’t believe I did not write a review for this place. I had many experience at this places, my two favorite noodles are the beef stir noodle and cool veggie rice noodle! Both choices are very rich and flavorful. It is definitly a must try! Overall, it is a fabulous place with nice eating environment and great services! Highly recommended it to all the noodle lovers out there!

I’ll hedge this review by giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because I’ve only had delivery. However, I don’t think the actual delivery vs. eat-in distinction had any real impact on the food. I ordered a large A2(spicy beef shank noodle soup), stewed pork rib with rice(not for me), beef tendons, small box of spicy sour beans, and the black sesame rice cake. I was majorly looking forward to the A2, but it was(a) tiny, despite my having ordered a large, and(b) incredibly salty. It was almost too salty to eat — I could only slurp down a couple of bites at a time, with a glass of water in between. Very disappointing. The beef tendons were ok but not very tender or flavorful, and the spicy sour beans were mushy and didn’t seem fresh. They also had kind of a strange flavor. The black sesame rice cake was the highlight, which shouldn’t be the case at a Chinese restaurant.

Beef tendon noodle soup(A5) — Not very spicy(the free cabbage came before the meal was more spicy). I like the broth. No msg, not too spicy or too salty so I can finish all the soup! The noodle is a think round rice noodle. Nothing special about it. Taste fresh. Beef tendon was very well cooked and tender. This one is 4 star. Will order again. Pork & green pepper stir fry with noodle(A9) — The noodle was not stir fried. I think they just boiled the noodle and put the stir fried pork and green pepper on top. Flavor is good but not enough sauce or topping to flavor the noodle. Therefore part of the noodle was bland. This one only gets 2 star. Won’t order again.

Noodle Talk is located off El Camino Real adjacent to Beck’s Shoes and nearby Big 5. The exterior is unassuming but it’s comfortable and more spacious inside then expected. There are numerous tables and a counter area for one or two tops. Service was efficient and quick. The menu has a variety of noodle soups, some Chef special side dishes and a variety of smaller side items. My selection: Spicy Beef Shank Noodles — $ 10.99. Two sizes are offered and I chose the regular. It arrives quickly. The soup broth actually packs some heat and envelopes the well cooked noodles, several pieces of beef shank, and a few pieces of fried tofu. The noodles were actually a bit overcooked as were the beef shank. Overall, I found everything underwhelming. When all you enjoy is the broth, it’s a start but not enough. Tendon with Garlic and Chili — $ 7.99. I like tendon but I find the preparation at many places to be lacking. The version here is chewy, cold, and one noted in flavor. Sour And Spicy Pork Noodles — $ 8.99. I saw a few tables ordering this and thought perhaps people knew something I didn’t. Same thing as before. Slightly overcooked noodles. Sour, slightly spicy pork. Again, didn’t really enjoy this noodle either as the flavor profile just didn’t work for me. Overall, Noodle Talk wasn’t my type of noodle place. Although they serve a couple of varieties of noodle soups, I found the noodles overcooked, the beef a bit tough and the sour and spicy pork not my flavor. Noodle Talk accepts credit cards but not Amex and only for orders above the high amount of $ 30.

11÷29÷15(update): Seems we were extremely hasty with the last review. Just came back from dinner and wow, what a polar difference from last time! The food was horrible and strangely enough some random guys were singing karaōke style over the PA… I don’t get it – not sure if they were supposed to be a «band» cause they seemed extremely amateur, but people weren’t going up to sing, so I assume it wasn’t karaōke night or anything, but wow… no offense to them, but come on guys – if you’re gonna sing for a full house in a restaurant, please pick songs you can sing!!! Dude tried a few high notes and cracked each time, then started just whispering those parts or skipping completely. But he kept going. Wtf. And it was LOUD. Sigh. Was definitely the strangest«live show» I have ever witnessed at a bar or restaurant. Anyway, about the horrific food… 1. Seaweed Salad $ 3.99: Alright, this was actually pretty good. Seaweed mixed into Szechuan-style oil/sauce. Good combo. 7⁄10 2. A1 Beef Stew Noodle Soup Regular(with flat noodles) $ 9.99: So… the last noodle soup we got here was fantastic. Not this time. The noodles were a pile of mushy junk. Waaaaaaaaay overcooked. Soup was okay, but pretty stingy with the meat. But the noodles were barely edible. 3⁄10. 3. Stewed Pork Rib with Rice $ 9.99: Nearly $ 10 for 5 small chinese dim sum-sized pieces of ribs(so like about 1 ½ of an American rib), rice, and some pickled vegetables(including diced lotus.) The ribs were pretty underdone. I mean, not raw or anything, but just were very hard. Flavor was super standard. Edible, but for that amount of money for so little food, pretty bad. 3⁄10. And… service was again HORRIBLE. First off, we asked for water, which never came. Then when I bugged them again, after 10min of eating, I guess the dude realized we weren’t given the standard table appetizers they give(pickles and peanuts). So he brought those. And of course, after that couldn’t wave anyone down. I walked up to the counter to get the check. Sooooooo… I think if it weren’t for the most excellent lunch I had last time, I’d happily give them a 2/5, but… I’ll hold off ’till I get another sampling. 3 stars, tentatively, for now. 3⁄5 #chinese

When I learned about Noodle Talk, in my head, I imagined it to be way more hip based on the name. The location is solid, and I’m pretty sure it’s in a place that used to be a sushi spot off the El Camino. We were craving something hot and brothy on a cool November night and didn’t want to go the ramen route because hour long waits, so Noodle Talk struck a chord. When we came there was practically no wait, but shortly after we arrived crowd arrived and started to form a line. We were pretty sure the noodle portions were going to be crazy huge so my bf and I only ordered a noodle dish each. They did come with some salted/spiced peanuts which were amazing and I could not stop eating them. I ordered the beef noodle soup, and he got some beef stir-fry. His dish was the clear winner. While my soup was flavorful and pretty authentic, his stir fry was unbeatable with tons of spice and flavor. If I was coming just for soup, I’d maybe suggest elsewhere, but those stir fried noodles are amazing and perfect and worth going back for!

No MSG noodle soup? That can either be really really good or really really bad. Fortunately at Noodle Talk, this ended up being really good. The beef noodle soup is tasty and not tooooo greasy. The rice noodles were soft without being too mushy. Decent amount of meat and food for a regular portion. We also ordered a side of green onion pancake which was okay. Nothing too special, but it was nice to have before slurping a bowl of noodles.

It was raining and cold, so obviously — we were looking forward to a warm bowl of beef noodle soup since everyone raves about how great it is here! Walked in at 8pm(they close at 8:30pm). Why so early? I have no idea. Quickly seated since there were tables open. In the 30 mins we were there(aka 30 mins before they close), all the tables around us were filled with people also coming in for a later dinner. The majority of people who come here are Chinese(and can speak Chinese). My boyfriend and I were seated and the servers immediately assumed we spoke Chinese(cause I look Chinese)? Proceeded to ask us what we wanted, we needed some time. Ended up ordering A1(Large) and A2(Small) for the both of us. Took a while for us to get drinks. Food came relatively fast and was pretty good. Now the whole experience was just eh. Mainly because: 1) Service was mediocre. Drinks were not refilled. We were practically«shooed» out the door and the server hovered over our table until we paid our check. 2) Ambiance — BOO. I don’t mind the Chinese music playing in the background, but when you have the cashier/server dude walk to the bathroom and start hacking his lungs out for the entire restaurant to hear — that ain’t okay. SOOOUNAPPETIZING. Not sure if I’ll come back to try the other dishes. I don’t think the so-called tastiness of the food can outweigh the gag reflex I was trying to suppress when dude was hacking loogies in the bathroom.
