Yummy tacos and quesadillas — I usually get the pastor which is top notch. Tacos 4 for $ 10 Regular quesadilla $ 7 Usually pretty fast too.

Longest wait for a burrito ever. 40 mins plus at off the grid? Get it together! The burrito itself was just meh. It took four bites before I could find a morsel of meat. It was pastor and wasn’t awesome. Wasn’t terrible either. At least the burrito wasn’t too dry. Save your time and drive to the many great taquerias available.

Really nice folks! I have cilantro issues and these folks were super kind and helpful in getting my order cilantro-free. I can’t taste ANYTHING else if I get even a leaf in my food — I can tell you if a knife was used to cut cilantro before something else without washing… so it’s sometimes tough to order a cuisine that uses a lot of cilantro. I had a super burrito with the rice, beans, cheese, sour cream and avocado. It was tasty and HOT and I didn’t even get a hint of the«bad plant» ;) I do prefer refried beans to pinto, but these were nicely cooked and enjoyable. Nice assortment of garnishes, too. We had the truck at our business today and I went at the tail end of their service time. They had everything and didn’t quibble with any of us who wanted something slightly different, or a «hey — can I have«this» instead of «that» request. They have Square(nice) :)

Decent but does not distinguish itself in any notable way. We had chicken super burrito and chicken super quesadilla, both of which were good, featuring an very good chicken flavor. This is not the disappointing boiled chicken you sometimes find at inferior trucks, it’s a well roasted chicken with some rather good flavor profiles cooked into the chicken. It’s tasty and satisfying in the flavor department but for those expecting a super burrito or super quesadilla to be super sized, you’ll be disappointed. It’s merely an ordinary burrito or quesadilla with salsa, avocado and other toppings added. Not this this is a bad thing, it’s just a small burrito that I see kids eating the whole thing by themselves, which is not exactly an adult sized portion. We ordered The super quesadilla because the super burrito left us hungry. It was good, in fact it tasted just like the burrito but with a little cheese added(which we could barely taste or feel) and a few veggies added(grilled bell pepper?), then they left out the rice. It’s not enough of a difference to make it seem like we were eating something different so it felt like we are two burritos. If you’re looking for a better flavor profile than your average Mexican food truck, then this truck seems better and is definitely worth trying out. The customer service is spotty, they sometimes don’t know how to process a credit card or when to bag your order to go and they can seem slow but they appearing to be cooking to order which is most important, so do try them out and focus on the yummy flavor profile.

Solid quality Mexican food. I had a regular Carne Asada Quesadilla. The regular is definitely a bit expensive for the amount of food you get — I paid $ 8 in total — but worth it if you need food in a pinch. They have two sauces in front of the truck, a red sauce and a green sauce. They’re both spicy, however the red sauce adds a level of robust flavor that the green sauce lacks. The green sauce is just meh. PROTIP: Try squeezing a bit of lime on top of your quesadilla. It adds some zest and mixes surprisingly well with Carne Asada.

Food is alright. That’s not the problem. Twice I’ve ordered from their truck. Twice they didn’t listen to me. Twice they screwed up my order. Would be at least 4 stars if they actually paid attention to you and delivered you what you ordered!!!

found los tolucas at off the grid at crowne plaza in palo alto. i ordered tacos, which come in plates of four. the carnitas tacos were well-seasoned, moist, and came out promptly. however, the super quesadilla we ordered never came out and when we asked about it, the staff claimed they left it in the window and it was taken. we were standing by the window for 45 minutes and there were zero quesadillas(no one behind us ordered one either, so there couldn’t have been a mixup there). we eventually got our order an hour after we paid for it, but they had a nasty attitude about it, didn’t apologize, and didn’t comp it. no accountability at this establishment. to be fair, the quesadilla was pretty tasty. but be warned: service will be hit or miss. tl;dr — good food, bad service. also, if you like spicy, their dark red salsa really hits the spot.

Los Tolucas had few food options(shrimp fajita, burrito, taco, quesadilla, torta) and few proteins(asada, pollo, pastor, 2 others) available. locale:OTG: San Jose @Evergreen Square(5⁄16) eats: asada quesadilla(6) –quac sauce watery and spicy –asada chewy, diced, not tender nor tasty, may have come from wholesale warehouse like the condiments. 2.5 stars –not a good value. frijoles refritos: –ordering and waiting for food may have taken 30 minutes.

Great place! What a hidden gem out behind Lowes. My coworkers found this place by accident because they were told wrong directions to another place. Since then this is their place to go! The service and authenticity is definitely there! If only they cooked faster because my coworker and ride left me :(… Just kidding, they almost did. I got the quesadilla, very basic and two tacos with carne asada. Everything tastes awesome! I will definitely get pastor or carnitas next time, didn’t like the asada. Their cactus dish was different, something I never tasted before and slimey. Definitely something different. Every dish they served was a kick to your taste bud! Give it a try.

I rolled to OFFTHEGRID Sunnyvale in My Whip Big Ken. I stashed Big Ken in the Sports Basement Parking lot and Street Hiked to Off The Grid. This is where I found The Brightly Colored Los Tolucas Catering Truck. It had nice looking color pictures of their offerings . I saw a nice Picture of their Shrimp Fajitas Plate and it enticed me . I asked the Chef of the Real food looked as good as the Picture and he said that it did . I had to Challenge him. So I ordered the Shrimp Fajita Plate ! The Chef cooked it from Scratch on his Griddle in the Truck. He was very Skillfull and I would see the Shrimp get Airborne from him flipping it on the Grill. He had Great Style and was definitely Skilled in the Culinary Arts. I thought I was Watching the Movie Chef again. But in Person. I really Enjoyed watching my food being prepared . Then the Chef plated my Shrimp Fajitas and presented it to me . The Finished Product looked«Better«than the«Picture». I grabbed a seat and started eating . Oh Man that Shrimp Fajita Plate and some great Flavors. I really Enjoyed that meal . The Los Tolucas Food was far Superior in Quality and Taste, Than some Brick and Mortar Taquerias . I hope to see that Truck at The Off The Grid in Sunnyvale Often.

This truck is literally a restaurant on wheels. Unlike most taco trucks that have a few items they do have a taquerias’ worth. There are 15 different meat choices for the tacos alone, not to mention the tortas, entrees, huaraches, sopes, and whater else they have. Id go here a ton of times just to deplete the menu. Had 5 tacos of suadero, compechano(steak/chorizo) maciza(meat from the back rib), costillas(rib) and buche(stomach). First off, they do the extra step of getting the tortillas niecly griddled so that they can hold up to the fillings and salsa. Meats were all very tasty. Tacos are $ 2/per which in my experience is on the higher side but getting towards norms these days. Folks are super friendly and they make solid food. I wish I could see them more in my area…

If they were more consistent on their locations and had just a small pinch more meat, I’d give them 5 stars. Food flavor it right and not as greasy as you would think coming from a food truck. They reside at one of two locations, that I know of, Calderon Tires in downtown Sunnyvale and Lowe’s at Wolfe and Arques also in Sunnyvale. Definitely one of the better food truck tacos in the area. When you have the tacos, simply discard one of the two tortillas and you create the best meat to tortilla ratio! Good stuff!
