Their tandoori chicken is really really delicious. I will say that given the ambience and the food, a meal here does feel somewhat expensive(usually around $ 30 for our party of 2), but man the chicken is excellent.

Awesome place! Quaint looking but dont be fooled by appearances! You’re in for some interesting traditional indian dishes! They even offered us some free bosmahdi(spelling) rice and the rice was DELICIOUS! And I usually hate rice~ Definitely a lovely eat.

Thats probably the de facto place to visit after late night shows and movies over weekends. I love their Alloo Nan and the complementary tea One star less for cleanliness

Good tandoori and non vegetarian food. The chicken dishes including chicken tandoori are quite nice. I’ve also tried their vegetarian and non vegetarian meals(thali) and found it to be good as well. Their portions are on the larger side, one meal was sufficient for my wife and I. They are open late, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Taken off a star as its a café style and not served. You might also have to wait 20 – 30 minutes after placing your order. TL;DR: good food, low prices and open till late.

The price is unusually cheap for what is typically a 1.5−2 portion meal. Quite spicy, and very tasty, as in well-balanced, bright and not banal! I tried the lamb curry and grilled chicken, with rice sides.

Awesome tandoori leg and breast. It was very tender and juicy. The chicken sheek kabab was also good. Have to try the curries and biryani the next time.

Taste is great but pricer than Tandoori Café. After tax, one tandoori chicken leg costs 5 bucks!

Great food, but the food takes a long time to be served. Wish they had an option for spicy level. The lamb curry was very spicy.

The chicken and nan here is very good. I love the fact that they keep it original and cook it in a clay oven. The only downside when I walk in and order it can take up to 30 min for me to get my food to go. I guess I’ll have to order over the phone from now on. Although I would definitely recommend and will be returning. Two thumbs up from me :)

It’s a café style dining, you order food at the front and then find a table. You gotta get your own silverware, drink, etc. Came here for lunch with a bunch of coworkers for lunch on Friday, make sure to come before 12 or it could take a while to get your food. We order a few tandoori combos, garlic naan, biryani, lamb curry, and okra masala. The group favorites are tandoori leg, okra masala, and garlic naan. The tandoori legs are nice and juicy. Everything else was tasty as well. And here comes the food coma…

We love this place! The value for money is great. Our go-to menu items are the achari gosht(lamb) or achari murgh(chicken), tandoori chicken and beef jalfrezi. Make sure to also grab some free chai! The food is nice and spicy, flavorful and packed with whole spices. I heard that spicy food can induce labor, so when I was 40 weeks pregnant I came here for achari murgh and that night I went into labor. So if you’re looking for natural ways to induce labor, eat a couple meals here! I only deducted one star because the restaurant is basically a hole-in-the-wall and lacks ambiance, though I quite enjoy the swirly paintings and the painting of Dumbledore

Went here last night around 11pm I order Chicken Tikka Masala with Rice, Plain Naan and a tandoori chicken leg for $ 20. The chicken tikka masala is the worst I ever had. Too oily and no flavor what so ever. The naan was oily as well. The only thing that had flavor was the chicken leg. I should of just order 4 legs instead. No rice no naan and NO Chicken MASALA. Although they are open late night. I will not being going back to this Resturant I do not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money. They charge everything separately so you will be paying a lot of money for tasteless Indian food.

I’ve been here a couple of times since it’s one of the few Indian places that are open late at night on weekdays. I got their Mutter Paneer, Garlic Naan, and a side of rice the last time I went. This is definitely too much food for one person. You should share the side of rice with at least another person. Garlic Naan — it’s okay… a bit dry and flat(more than usual) but has plenty of garlic on the top so it’s not bad… Mutter Paneer — tastes okay but the paneer comes in small crushed bits instead of the cubes I usually see at other restaurants. Unfortunately the crumbled up paneer is reminiscent of curdled milk due to texture… This is the most meh paneer I have ever had.

One of my favorite Pakistani places in the south bay. The menu has some pretty standard stuff like tandoori chicken, kebab’s, naan and rice items. The price is very affordable. The naan and tandoori chicken are really awesome. The lamb and other meat items are too dry for my taste. The seating and ambiance at this place is like a typical hole in the wall place, so don’t expect too much. They provide free chai. The mint sauce is also pretty good. The service is very quick, so if you want to grab something quick, this is the place to go. Also this is one of the few places in the south bay which is open till 3AM in the night and has been my goto place for late night cravings.

I was craving something different but Toppings Tree was closing soon. So I used Unilocal and found this place. I ordered the follow to go: Chicken leg tandoori, Lamb Seekh Kabob, and Garlic naan. Everything was tasty and I was stuffed after polishing it all off. Portions were good and reasonably priced.

Extremely casual spot. Walk up to the counter, order, pay and wait for your food. Simple and all about the food. Nice start. They also have a side area where you can load up on condiments like cilantro, onions and other goodies. Not the cleanest of areas though, because of all the traffic through there. We got Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Curry and Achaar Gosht(spicy lamb dish) and added some naan and basmati rice and was shocked the total almost came out to $ 50. Seemed a little bit on the ridiculous side to me. Oh well. All the food was pretty good. Creamy and buttery chicken that went perfectly with either choice of carbs we had on the table. Goat curry was unimpressive and seemed like a version you could get at any run of the mill lunch buffet. The Achaar Gosht had an unique spice to it and wish there were thicker pieces of meat in there, but good stew like consistency that was worth a try. Large menu, so may be back to try more if in need of a late night option in the area, but with the parade of options for Indian food in Sunnyvale, it may be a minute.

A friend took me here to try tandoori and i have to say i was skeptical at first. But after feasting here, i can say that the food here is tasty! The tandoori chicken is seasoned well and packed with flavor. They cook it to perfection, definitely try the tandoori! I also has a chicken kabob which was ground chicken, very tasty but i am still getting use to ground chicken. The wheat roti is large and delicious, very healthy and crispy. The creamy lentils here are amazing, super flavorful! And last, had some goat dish cooked in spinach. The goat is tasty and tender, unlike many places who dont cook this right. Free chai tea is strong and spiced, just how its suppose to be. They don’t add sugar, you have to sweeten it yourself, a nice touch. Definitely come here for a tasty indian meal!

The meats served here are organic and cooked with the care they deserve! Their kabobs r out of the world! Everything here is super delish and fresh — naan made to perfection. Quick service, free chai, reasonable prices, ok décor and oh I forgot that they serve paan(betel leaf delicacy eaten after a meal for $ 1) Open late too!

Located in a strip mall along with a number of small shops, inside is the usual table, booths et al. What makes it a five star is that this place currently has the best tandoori and kabob’s in the entire area. Yes I know, tandoori is an extremely common and easy dish to get. This place makes the common uncommon. I mean I can get tandoori in dozens of places and it’s just ordinary. At the Shah restaurant it’s made fresh to order and they make it so good it’s well, perfect. Order some naan as well and they’ll bring a ludicrously large portion. Heavenly. Vegetarians fear not, my partner in crime reports that the Baigan Bharta is if anything better then the tandoori in flavor in addition to being far more sophisticated culturally. They have a portrait of Dumbledore on the wall for bonus random awesomeness. Seriously good tandoori, and a wizard painting on the wall? What’s not to like?

Was craving Indo-Pak food and decided to come here. Ordered the lamb and beef kabobs but they did not have lamb so ended up with 2 beef kabobs, couple of naans, lamb curry, and chicken tikka masala. The price, although seems reasonable, is actually quite small in portion. There was a lack of distinct flavor with the dishes as I kept getting cardamom with every single bite. The kabobs were ultra-dry like corrugated cardboard. I noticed all of the yogurt sauce squirting bottles were sitting in the self-serve fridge after finishing meal. Nobody else at the restaurant seemed to know. The staff should have been more helpful to inform the diners where the condiments are. I guess I have had better food and service elsewhere so Shah was a bit disappointing.
