Elise was a joy to work with. I emailed her and she was quick to respond and place the order. I ordered cupcakes for my boys 1^st birthday party. 4 of the guests have celiac so knowing that there is no cross contamination was a huge relief. Not to mention they looked amazing and tasted good! I also asked for delivery and they were delivered right on time.

This place is wonderful. I emailed Elise for a custom cake for my moms birthday. She did a wonderful job! She even was able to drop it off to my work at the time I needed. This is probably one of the best looking cakes I’ve seen I would definitely come back for another occasion!

To start — let me say that this was an incredible experience all the way around. Elise was a miracle worker and not only turned around a dozen cake pops in less than a day — she also delivered them to my office right on time, free of charge. My only regret was that I didn’t get a chance to thank her in person.
But seriously, these things are incredibly delicious, they look absolutely amazing, the presentation is top notch, and Elise responds to questions via email almost instantly. Just an amazing experience all around — I can’t recommend highly enough.

My daughter had a box of gluten free cake pops delivered to my house as a surprise birthday gift. They were boxed and presented beautifully. The flavor and texture of the cake was fabulous. I would never had known they were GF. They had pretty sprinkles and a flower on each individually wrapped pop. I am so pleased with this thoughtful and specially yummy gift. I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone who wants gluten free or not.

I was planning for a baby shower for my Manager and needed to find someone that could make a gluten free cake, but decorative. I found a few, but The Little Cakes was the way to go. Elise was very friendly, communicated clearly, and understood the vision of cake that I had wanted. Also, she had just moved from East Coast to West Coast, and hadn’t unpacked everything to make the size cake I wanted, but she made an exception for me. VERY accommodating. Her gluten free cake was very good. The Mommy-​to-​be was very happy with the look and the taste of the cake. Thank you Elise, I hope your business continues to shine, and we hope to use you again in the future!

The only bad thing about these sheep cake pops is the amount of guilt you feel looking into its eyes before chomping it down.
They are so cute, so yummy (my inside was Mocha and it rocked) and delivered on time as well! Elise was super friendly and helpful when ordering and she even remembered it was my birthday upon delivery.
I would suggest these to anyone in the world ever.

Elise made the most beautiful cupcakes for my sisters bridal shower. They were delivered on time and tasted DELICIOUS! Elise was helpful and answered all of our questions.

Elise did a FANTASTIC job for our bridal shower — the cupcakes were beautifully arranged in the shape of a bridal gown and trimmed with ribbon and a rosette, and they were moist and delicious. Working with Elise was a dream — I ordered from California and she was gracious, responsive and accommodating. If I ever need another special cake in NYC I will definitely order from The Little Cakes, and I recommend them to everyone as well!

The little Cakes has to be one of the BEST gluten free bake shop ever! This company has fantastic presentation everything they design is so pretty, elegant and sweet! I have had several cake pop flavor all are delish! I have not tested anything else yet but plan to soon. The little Cakes are great for wedding favors, bday/​party favors, dessert bars, sweets tables, gifts and much more. As a event coordinator and business consultant I highly recommend this company.
I would love to see the product line expand!

If you need a cake look no further! She did amazing work! I ordered a closed cigar box cake and it literally looked like a real one! All parts were editable which I could not believe. The cake was soooo delicious and reasonably priced. Elsie is extremely nice and goes above and beyond to ensure you are 100% satisfied. Worth every penny and will definitely be ordering a cake from her for future events!

Wow. One of the best cakes I’ve had yet– gluten free or otherwise! Moist, Chocolatey, amazing frosting and a delicious salted caramel layer. Ordered for a coworker who is gluten-​free, but I would probably order this for anyone.
Elise, who delivered the cake, is super accommodating and responsive even though we had a small timing issue. She took it in stride and got the cake here.

4.5 stars for execution. I was pretty happy with the cake decorations. She translated my vision nicely and everyone loved the cake, especially the recipient.
5 stars for service. Elise worked with my budget and was very accommodating and personable. She also delivers cakes free of charge in Manhattan. My only feedback would be to use cake boxes that have a handle. I needed to transport my cake via public transit and handles would have been nice for a standard 8“cake.
3 stars for taste. I wasn’t actually concerned about getting a gluten free cake. I have no food allergies so I will pretty much eat what I want and what tastes good. I saw these ratings and people said it tasted like regular cake and so I went for it. I wish the confetti flavor I ordered tasted more moist and like cake, but it kinda tasted more spongy and I detected a slight gritty/​powdery taste. I suppose for gluten free it’s not bad, but for cake standards, I’ve definitely had much better.
All in all Elise, great job and thanks so much for the cake!

Lovely cake push pops! The salted carmel was my favorite… the lemon was a close second. Please open a retail store, though free delivery isn’t a bad deal!

Since going GF last fall I’ve tried pretty much every GF cake, bakery, dessert place in NYC, including Brooklyn (what can I say, I’m still a fat kid who loves cake??) and this place is still my absolute favorite.
I love, love, love this place and cannot recommend it highly enough.

They responded super quickly to my request and we’re able to deliver my cupcakes the next day! Normally I’m not a ‘wait until the last minute’ kind of person. but an unfortunate string of events happened causing me to rush around last minute.
Needless to say. The Little Cakes came through with a delicious rescue. Thanks again!

I ordered a batch for my sister’s birthday, completely messing up my order by giving the wrong address. If that wasn’t bad enough, I completely missed the notification that they were booked until a few days after my sister’s birthday! I contacted the shop and not only did they respond to me immediately, but they were also willing to take my order anyway!
I am so impressed by their service. I don’t even have to taste a cupcake myself to know that they are going to be delicious and that my sister is going to love them! I will definitely be ordering from here again and again.

The mini cupcakes are delish and perfectly portioned. You can’t tell that they are gluten-​free and they are a great option for those who have celiac. I love the red velvet and confetti. If you are buying for a group, make sure that you get extras because they will be polished off very quickly!
