Applebee’s

This review doesn’t really deserve any more commitment than I experienced from the staff at this location of Applebee’s. Since I had offered to take my guests out to dinner, I let them pick where to eat, although I have not been historically fond of Applebee’s. The individual who decided that this was the place to come for dinner that evening is a regular who always sits at the bar, and probably has a different experience than we had seated in a booth.
To come to the point, while Applebee’s was quite «wallet friendly» (to use their terminology), and the food portions were generous, it simply wasn’t very good. It wasn’t terrible, just not very tasty. The two for one happy hour drinks, which were the first thing I experienced, were very weak, as was even commented on by my friend who usually sits at the bar. The service was slow, although there seemed to be plenty of wait staff standing in 2’s or 3’s in other parts of the room. Perhaps it was a matter of timing, and the kitchen was backed up. The food was ok, but just that. My steak was somewhat over done, and not very flavorful, and my garlic mashed potatoes were bland. Everyone else in the party ate their food, but absolutely no one made any positive comments, which was unusual. Perhaps their experience was in line with their expectations?
In the end, I wished I had taken my guests someplace nicer. I have no incentive to return to Applebee’s unless perhaps to try sitting at the bar to dine. As reflected by my rating, I’ve experienced MUCH better and found the meal very disappointing.

Lots of available tables, wait staff standing around but the still won’t seat people. This is really bad.

I don’t usually go to Applebee’s alot nowadays, but my family used to go here a lot when I was a kid. I went with my partner the other day and the place was just as nice as I remember it from a long time ago.
One advantage to Applebee’s is that it’s one of the few establishments in the area that’s open late on the weekdays. They’re open till midnight. They always have a new additions to the menu. This time we tried out the Chicken Wonton Tacos and the Bourbon Street Steak and it was delicious. We got it with the 2 for 20 deal. Keep in mind that if you take this option the steak is gonna be small. I had to order chicken wings to fully fill myself up. The Chicken wings were also delicious but I’ve had better elese where.
My most favorite parts is the drinks special that they always have. They have a 2 for 1 special on well drinks and a few of the margaritas. I def suggest to take a advantage of it.
The service is also pretty good. She kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. All in all, it was an excellent experience.

Ventured here this past Friday with the BF for dinner. He had never been to Applebee’s and wanted to see if Ricky Bobby’s family was on to something. I’ll admit, I’ve been to Applebee’s several times growing up and have not been drawn back to one in years. I was wary.
We had a fairly short wait for a table, so we walked over to the bar to grab a drink. He was still paying for the beers when they were ready to seat us, so they overestimated a bit with the wait time, which was fine by us! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, wish I could remember her name (working on this. but I have chronic CRS), but she was great and recommended that we go for the 2 for $ 20 deal (app, 2 entrees) since we both picked items from that selection and it would save us money — we didn’t really want another appetizer since we had already chosen one, but I looked at the prices and she saved us at least $ 6 or so, which I thought was nice of her! Also, she did well on the drink recommendation :)
So — food! We ordered the Salsa Verde Beef Nachos as an appetizer and they were not disappointing. We were well into a version of trivia by then on the tablets they have on each table. You can order drinks, play games, and then have to pay (if using a card) from those tablets right on your table. If you want to play games it’s $ 1.99 and they add it to your food bill. We went ahead and paid and were playing trivia games the whole time we were there. They’re pretty fun — certainly kept us amused, and I liked that it was an interactive thing, so it didn’t just leave one of us sitting there playing while the other looked off into space
Back to the food! BF ordered the Quesadilla Burger, having seen the commercials for it. He said it was OK, but it came out a little bit too red for our liking especially once he hit the middle and showed it to me we asked them to warm it up just a tad longer. The manager came right over, apologized, took the burger and brought it back out momentarily. They microwaved it, and when they brought it back it was too hot to touch.
By now, we also had the second app of spinach dip, so he snacked on that while waiting for the burger to cool off. The spinach dip here is not quite how I remembered it. It’s just OK. I would probably try something different next time. Chips were a little stale too, but we had had enough chips at that point so didn’t ask for fresher ones.
For my entrée, I ordered the Bourbon St. Chicken & Shrimp, which comes on a skillet like you’d get with fajitas, but it’s just the chicken, shrimp and some potatoes. I was really happy with this meal! It was not too heavy, the chicken and shrimp were cooked just fine and seasoned very well, I really liked this dish and would probably order it if we were to go back and they still have it. At some places I like sticking with what I know is good, and this was quite good!
Almost forgot drinks! They had a few different cocktail mixes that sounded pretty good, and I’m usually not enticed b/​c I don’t like drinks that are too sweet. There was one that was a bourbon apple cider and was very good! Overall, we had a decent experience and I would go back. It’s in an area surrounded by other good options as well though, so it’s hard to say when, but I wouldn’t be opposed if others suggested it anymore at least!

This steak and service were beyond fucking phenomenal. Jason and Shannon were great employees that engaged us in conversation while taking our orders making sure that we received top-​notch service without missing a beat. I’ve got to commend this establishment on the staff and food. It’s the best experience I’ve had at an Applebee’s

Went on a Friday at 5:30pm and they would not seat us even though they had open tables. Was told that the kitchen could not handle the customers that they had seated. Manager needed to approve anyone else being seated.

Very disappointed is an understatement. Arrived late, around 11p. Waited over a half hour between my appetizer and steak. Ordered my steak medium rare. It came back well done. The server did not even offer anything. And I had to wait more than 10 minutes to let her know it was over cooked. Wow, manager came out and took some off. Still disappointed. Moral of this story is no tip and won’t be visiting here late night on a weekday.

This is the second ‘complaint’ about a restaurant I have ever placed. We’ve all had bad service at restaurants before but it was the consistency here that made it special. Service has a long way to go. Double lemon on my iced tea, requested on ordering, eventually came halfway thru the meal after multiple requests. Extra dressing requested for my saladupon ordering, never came. Steak ordered was requested medium and was served well done by runner. By the time waiter came and offered to replace it I was over it. On our way to the movies with no time to waste, it was reluctantly eaten. Empty glasses of iced tea were never refilled or even offered. The food? Only item above mediocre was a wedge lettuce salad.

The manager was an adorable older gentleman that looked so happy to be there doing his job. He opened the door for us and we were greeted right away and seated. My son and I ordered the 2 for $ 20. We got mozzarella sticks and both ordered the Fiesta lime chicken. My son wanted the burger that displayed on their website was available to the 2 for $ 20 deal but this location didn’t offer it and they wouldn’t substitute. The mozzarella sticks were good but not enough sauce. They had Pepsi products and not coke, so depends on what you prefer. I personally prefer coke products. The chicken came out quickly. For some reason, I remember it being a little better. Overall it was an ok experience. Much emptier than I remember it being years back. If we were to come back, it would probably only be for the smiling manager.

The all day brunch burger is fantastic. It combines the burger with egg, bacon and hash browns. The best combination. The family had the all American burger and they were pretty good as well. The service was solid. We noticed that Monday’s the same burgers are $ 6.99 from 4pm to close. Good time for Sport fanatics to eat and watch Monday night football.

Im just getting to this, but was there on halloween with my daughter and hubby, server never came back to table, got the 2 for 20 which includes an app and 2 dinners was charged for the app at HH price as well as in the 2 for 20,
hubby’s chicken was burnt he didnt even eat, a few shrimp (a few), my steak was ok, and my daughter didnt even like her microwaved mac and cheese
Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, was very disappointed!!!
And i only gave it one star bc you have to add a star but they deserve a 0!!!

This Applebee’s is often a pre-​hockey game restaurant for my dad and I. We’ve traditionally had decent service and consistent food, otherwise we wouldn’t go back. We’re both hoping last Sunday’s poor experience is a blip.
About ¼ of the restaurant was empty, but we had a 20 minute wait to be seated for a party of 2. No big deal. We figured they were short of servers for the night. Later, after being there for more than 2.5 hours just to eat a cheeseburger and a cheesesteak, and seeing a manager delivering food to tables, we figured they must be extremely short in the kitchen, and bar, and servers, and managers.
The service was TERRIBLE. Our waiter was practically nonexistent and eventually had to be flagged down to order drinks, to order food, to ask for silverware and napkins, to ask for our bill, and to have him take our cards to pay. Ugh! Other tables in our section had better service, but still extremely long waits for food. Like over an hour. When they seated us, they should have told us that the average wait time for food was at least 45 minutes. We could have decided whether to stay or go, and wouldn’t have ended up frustrated from the wait.
I gave this review 2 stars instead of 0 because the food when it finally came out was good (and for previously good experiences at this location). My cheeseburger was perfectly seasoned and cooked medium rare. It hit the spot. My dad ordered a new menu item, the Brewpub cheesesteak. He said it was excellent. I had a little entrée envy to be honest, even though I had just had a great cheesesteak from Mac Daddy’s the day before.
Hockey season starts in a couple of months, and we’ll give this Applebee’s another chance– mostly because it is conveniently close to the BB&T Center and for previously good experiences. I’ll update this review then.

I don’t usually complain about service but this restaurant has the worst service of all places I have ever been to. And trust me I have been to many.
At first the the host didn’t want to be there. You could tell by his face. He didn’t seem like a host at all.
Next we sat down in a booth. The chair started vibrating so we complained. So they told us to move. The waitress left without even helping us move our drinks and plates. Unfortunately the table we sat down wasn’t firm on the ground. It was swinging. So we moved again. This time the host just stood there and only helped us with one drink.
Like that wasn’t bad enough, another family came after U.S. and the host made them sit on the same booth even though the place is empty.
WORST SERVICE EVER
Just got the food. It wasn’t up to the standards of Applebees. The waitress left the check before we even finished our food. We were going to end up ordering desert but not anymore.

Again my expectations are not high when it comes to chain restaurants. They do have steak and potatoes that leans on your pallet with such fines. The server was stretched thin but she still had great commitment to customer service and maintained tasteful professionalism.
Such a tender piece of beef with flavor to just replays the word euphoric again and again through my mind. If I could change anything it would be the portion size, sticky floors, and the odor that it has.

I came here with my family for lunch and we had a great time. The service was amazing out waiter was super nice and attentive. The place wasn’t too crowded or loud. We ordered some appetizers to start off, some chips with salsa dip and then some boneless wings with the buffalo sauce on the side.
–Chips and salsa– Delicious and we ate them all up, the serving size is perfect and they provide more than enough salsa.
–Boneless wings– These were super tasty, the buffalo sauce we got on the side and it was a hit with my family. We loved the taste of it and even dipped some of our tortilla chips in it. They also give a good amount of boneless wings, there were six of us eating the appetizers and we were all satisfied when done with them.
I ordered the Shrimp N’ Parmesan Sirloin which my father also ordered.
–Shrimp N’ Parmesan 9 oz. Sirloin– The sirloin I orders medium and it was cooked perfectly! My dish consisted of a sirloin covered with Parmesan and shrimp with a side of carrots and broccoli and another side of mashed potatoes (or your choice of fries). The mashed potatoes were delicious and creamy and the veggies were steamed to perfection. The shrimp and steak with the Parmesan were a perfect combination. I ate everything on my plate and was very satisfied. My father also loved his food and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food.
For dessert we ordered a triple chocolate meltdown
–Triple Chocolate Meltdown– This dessert was a hit with my family. We loved it, the hot chocolate lava on the inside of the chocolate lava cake was delicious and the vanilla ice cream paired with it stupendously. An amazing end to a great dining experience.
Overall, the experience and service were excellent and the food was amazing and more than we expected!

Went again last night for my sister’s birthday. We had Dayna. She was just the cutest thing! All 7 of us enjoyed our evening and her excellent service!

First off. Tighten up on service. It took me 15 mins to get my beer, and there was no one here. Second, I ordered a Medium steak, and it came out well done. Loose the weight and let it cook. Over all, I probably wouldn’t come back, although my girlfriend said the pasta was on point, but that’s probably because it comes in a bag that is all.

Everyone is super nice, the hostesses even double as wait staff when needed. Always smiling, and loving the new menu! Try the frozen lemonade selection if you want a drink to last your entire meal that is a thirst quencher.

Overall the food was good only thing is the staff your waitress doesn’t care about you. She ignored us the whole time.

Purchased a $ 50 gift card. Horrible food! My potatoes & chicken plate tasted like chemicals! I didn’t even swallow it in fear that I might get sick. Switched entrees, it was OK. Didn’t get any type of discount on my bill. I asked for one, got $ 5 off only! Then I went to pay with the gift card and the remainder on my debit but they «didn’t see the gift card» so put the full $ 78 bill on my card, then instead of giving the cash back they voided it so now I have to wait 5 – 7 business days and will be short on Christmas presents for my fam! Because in total Applebee’s deducted about $ 120 from my card!!! I will never go to Applebee’s again!!!
