This place is great. The negative reviews are for the other locations and should be removed from the Sunrise location’s Unilocal reviews. I’ve been going here for the past two months for laser hair removal. I never have to wait more than five minutes to get started, and the consultants make the appointment as quick and painless as possible. The manager at this location, Mike, is always friendly and asks me how my day is going. I have had to pay the $ 25 cancellation fee for missing an appointment, but that is listed in the paperwork when you sign up. The facility is small and in a little plaza, but if it keeps the prices down I don’t care what the exterior looks like. I used an Amazon Local deal and was never treated bad because I was using a «coupon».(Mike actually commented that it was good because they’re looking for local customers.) I have no complaints about this location. Shame on the other users for not reviewing the right place!

Don’t bother to go to the Coral Gables location! I purchased a GroupOn and booked my first appointment. I checked in at the front desk of the salon, three woman came in after me and they were each serviced by the technician before me. I waited an hour to be seen and then found out the appointment was for a 5 min consultation! What a waste of time. Yes, the room they took me to obviously used to be a supply closet in the back of the salon. I looked around and it seemed clean. I was a bit annoyed to see the giant tip jar on the counter… but rolled my eyes and continued on with the five minute chat. I made my next appointment there before I left. On my second visit, no sooner did I sit down and I was told it would be at least a 30 minutes wait. A lady arrived late and the tech hasn’t even had a break today. Are you kidding me? No thanks. I asked if it was possible to reschedule and was told to call the main office! I called the main office and sat on hold… and hold… then I hung up. A few days later I called back and wasn’t even greeted — just immediately put on hold! You have to be kidding! I immediately sent my complaint to GroupOn and they refunded my money. I will not ever recommend Sunrise Laser & Hormone Institute… they obviously do not comprehend the value of customers.

There is a location in the gables(1402 Ponce De Leon Blvd Coral Gables, Florida 33134) that is terrible. Its literally in the back of a salon! I bought a groupon for a good deal, but was terribly shocked when I saw it was in the back of the salon. At first I was like no way I’m not doing this, but I decided to give it a chance. WORSTIDEAEVER! These people are SO unprofessional. Its seriously a joke. They book back to back appts and they make you wait with no problem for your appt. BUTIFYOURLATEDONTEVENBOTHERGOING! They will let the next person in. I was 8 mins late looking for parking(parking is terrible around 3ish on a work day) and my procedure(underarms) usually takes about ten mins well I came in at exactly 3:08(appt was at 3pm) and the lady had been in the back room getting her procedure done already. You would think he would give me a heads up right when I walked in that my appt was cancelled and that I would have to wait 25−35mins for the lady to finish NOOOO he waited until 315 to tell me!!! After I took time to go over there and find parking! this is place is a no go especially when its one person doing hair removal in the back of a salon! RIDICOULOUSDONTSPENDYOURMONEY!

First impressions do last forever, I must agree with my fellow Unilocaler if you review this based on your initial phone conversation I would give it a negative one. However after being greeted by the staff in the Pembroke Pines location and speaking to the owner himself, this is truly a great place and one I will be visiting quite often. Btw machine is top notch and you cant beat pain free. ;)

There’s only one chance to make a first impression, and it was not pleasant. The person responsible for scheduling appointments was not helpful, not friendly, not courteous, well, you get the point. She refused to give her name at first, and when asked to speak with another person, she indicated she was«the only one available». I hope this is not an indication of quality of service they provide. At this point, I have low expectations. Regretfully, I’m stuck with a Groupon. I will update after a few laser sessions.
