Bad food!!! Would not recommend anyone to go there. Got really sick after eating there. Horrible customer service. Do not trust the reviews they might be fake and are misleading

As trained chef and lover of Indian food this place makes my belly warmed with good food as if i had a South Indian Mama. Staff is courteous and caring with smiles.

Buffet was small. Not much of a selection. The new management added Middle Eastern food like Falafel, hummus, grape leaves, tabouli and baba ganoush. It woulda been nice if I were looking for Lebanese food. That day I specifically wanted Indian, I figured I’d give my old fave a visit. It’s been a while as I moved to Coral Springs and prefer to stay north. I will not be going back to Uidipi in the future. Pros: Good Channa masala, friendly staff, pretty good dosa Cons: Small selection, no Paneer(at $ 9.95 it should be available), water was either not filtered or filter needs to be changed, mixed veggie curry was watery, only decent looking desert was the baklava for sale at the front counter. Advice: Second rate Indian food. Better off serving the baklava along with all your other middle eastern treats and renaming the place Nablus or Sidon restaurant. Why pretend to be Indian?

New Management! Very clean in here now. Vegetables plentiful and very very fresh. Great veggie /vegan choices. Had the lunch buffet at $ 10, worth it!

Ian was asking for a Dosa during our vacation, so we thought we would take him to an Indian joint. The day we went to Coconut Grove, the Indian restaurant there, Bombay Darbar, was closed. We Unilocaled, and settled on this place on our way to the Fort Lauderdale airport. 2 Buffets, tax and tip came to $ 30.90. Pros: Complimentary dosas included in the buffet. Cons: Expensive. Not much variety.(–1) Bland dishes.(–1) Items sort of tasted stale too???(–1)

I won’t return. I have been here a dozen times and have never paid more than $ 20 – 25 for my entire family of four(incl. two kids) to have lunch here. Today my bill was $ 57. I was offered mango drinks that typically come with the meal in a very small almost shot-like glass but then was charged $ 14 for four of them. I’m not sure what has happened here but the experience has left me sour on this place.

Watched the Indian movie, Three Idiots, last night and just had to go to the best vegetarian Indian restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. Dosai, Biriyani Hderabad style and guess what movie was playing on the tv? Three Idiots, of course. That caused a huge laugh.

The platter or dinner for one was enough for two people. Totally delicious with nine different dishes including sweet carrots, beans, eggplant, potato & peas, chickpea, spicy soup, dessert and roti. The spices and the salty & combination has exploded on my palette like a good Bordeaux with your food served in traditional dish setting. I feel like I am in India!

Had worst experience last night. Never order mirchi pakora… its insanely spicy … It’s not pakora … just Indian mirchi. Service is very poor n hopeless. Batura is ok. Order mirchi pakora at your own risk.

IMPAYINGFORIT! … I said he says if I only serve chai and appetizers my business is going to shut down… LMAO…didn’t I say I’m paying for it!!!

One of the good indian restaurants in this area. The food is delicious, the variety is good and the service is excellent! Would definitely recommend trying out snacks and appetizers. Last time I had hara bhara kabab which was okayish but the paneer dosa was great! Today I had samosa chat(absolutely delicious) and chana bhatura which was also very very very delicious! The waiter also gave us complimentary custard!

As a vegan, it’s hard to stuff your face when you get the urge… Unless you come here! Talk about endless eating. I had to sit there for 60 minutes just because I could barely walk! There are so many yummy things to eat. Just ignore the upgrades needed. Since this post, some upgrades have been done. It now deserves a 5 star, not because it’s a gorgeous place, but because the food is really good to a non– Indian and the price is really reasonable! You’ll be stuffed for 24hrs.

Delicious authentic Indian food, friendly service, beautifully calm atmosphere. LOVE that the menu is clearly labeled vegetarian/vegan, and there are SO many different things to choose from.

Sorry to say it, but I did not enjoy the food in this place. I had high expectations from the moment I was reading the menu. I loved the fact most dishes are vegan. Of course being an Indian restaurant you will expect a lot of spicy food. Knowing this I asked the waiter what non spicy dish he will recommend. Promptly he said black dah. Perfect. As an appetizer I ordered split peas samosas. The samosas came with two spicy sauces that I skip, of course. Then the black Dahl arrived, and that’s when the fireworks begun. It was so spicy I even didn’t touch it. Places like this MUST have real non spicy alternatives for people who can not tolerate those flavors. I got home hungry. Should I be back at Udipi? Probably not.

I went for the $ 9 lunch buffet. There is no menu for lunch… only buffet. The price is right for the variety on the buffet. Unfortunately, none of the items were labeled so I have no idea what I ate! It was all good though. I wish there was dessert and NAAN. This is my first buffet with no naan. There is salad with two thick sauces next to it. They had fresh fried dough items. A lot of the dishes were spicy. All items are vegetarian, which means all types of beans… lentils, chick pea, white beans. They bring a crêpe with mashed potato and onion in the middle to your table. Also, a pitcher of water which is greatly needed with the spicy food. Plates were cleared promptly and buffet was well stocked. At noon on a Friday there were only four other diners. It seemed like the owner was sitting at one of the tables and he spoke to a few guests in another language. He checked me out and I told him I found it on Unilocal and would be reviewing. There is plenty of free parking in the parking lot in front of the restaurant. It was good, but with so many Indian places to try I won’t rush back while I try other places.
