4 stars cuz it’s decent food, priced right. I asked our waitress if this was spot of Matamaros(spelling). She said it’s same place, I think that’s she said. I ordered the Mole Poblano beef enchiladas which comes with side of beans and rice. It was all delicious. Everything seasoned for taste buds. That mole sauce is savory and chocolatey. Just wish the beef filling in the enchiladas were warm. It was not close to warm. Also, beef was dry.

SO much better in quality, taste, and service than the other Mexican restaurant everyone raves about. We love eating and ordering from here: the ingredients are super fresh and tasty. You get so much food for the price. I usually get a steak and veggie tacos, and I’m stuffed. My husband can eat his fair share but usually can’t do more than 3 tacos and a horchata. If you dine in, the restaurant is super clean and the servers are all so incredibly sweet.

By far my favorite Mexican spot in town. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Mexican food. Their huevos rancheros, enchiladas, chilaquiles & tamales are some of my favorite things to order there.

I come here once a week for their breakfast platters. Huevos rancheros-runny eggs on top of tortillas with some salsa Verde and beans. My boyfriend always gets huevos con chorizo. We also get their steak chalupas. The portions are huge, service is on point, the waitresses are always very attentive and friendly. Price is affordable as well.

If you’re looking for a super clean and tasty Mexican food, look no further. Compared to all the rest of the Mexican spots in Sunset Park, this one is the winner. The food actually has sazón, the portions are generous and it’s not overpriced like Tulcingo, which is located a few blocks down. The waitresses are all in beautifully embroidered shirts from Oaxaca, Mexico which I found a sweet touch.(No tacky waitresses here! :)) The space is very ample, so you’re not bumping elbows with anyone here. I eat here with my family almost every Sunday for brunch, and we love it. I’ll keep coming back!

Not surpriced at all, its a not to bad place to eat, i guess they can do better or its just that im just too picky eather way i think if you are looking for a good place to eat you can just walk a few more blocks and you will find something way better for the same price or better price.

Stopped by for lunch today with co-workers and everyone loved it! My favorite was the large carnitas taco– the meat was well seasoned and the guacamole was delicious! Everyone got various tacos and burritos and we all left very satisfied and full! The dining room is large and easily accommodated our party of 6. Plus they have air conditioning(which was well appreciated after our walk in the sun) and have telemundo on the TVs! Definitely will be back!

New Mexican spot on 5th avenue Jalapeños which I been spying for a while. Finally opened and got to check it out. Ordered 3 tacos small and some guacamole. 1 — pastor **** 1 — carne asada **** 1 — pollo asada **** If you order large tacos they come with the guacamole. The small tacos were quite fulfilling and delish. I also had the Verde Tamale which was ehhh! Really not great, I am pretty biased on tamales cause I eat them fresh every weekend. They do have an extensive menu and since Matamoros had closed across the street this is the new spot. Pretty large layout for seating and I hope they can be consistent with the presentation and quality of food they put out now. Not bad and shall return for more!!! P. S. The guacamole was good not spicy but very good!
