Poppy Seed Danish cake same taste as the one my grandma use to make. Most places it has added spices but here it’s just delicious.

Love this little bakery. The rugelach and the other desserts(not sure of the names) are all really delicious and the guy behind the counter(owner?baker?) is so nice and friendly. This place is re-developing my sweet tooth.

Normally I take pictures of delicious kosher food, but the items I bought here(and I bought a LOT of them) simply didn’t stick around long enough for their photo session. I devoured them far, far too quickly. The prices here are incredible, especially for hoity toity Bal Harbour/Surfside. The man behind the counter, a Spanish-speaking Israeli, was incredibly kind and affable. For kosher keepers, the fact that all the baked goods here are parve is really amazing because it means we can eat these treats no matter what we ate right before– meat, dairy, fish, whatever— these pastries can go with anything! This place would get five stars except I found the cinnamon rolls a bit dry. Everything else was amazing. The cinnamon croissants, as recommended by the guy at the counter, would get me in a lot of trouble if I lived anywhere near here, and the plain croissant was delicious as well(how do they accomplish that texture with no butter!!!). My husband devoured the six assorted chocolate and fruit rugelach I bought, so we’ll have to trust his taste(he said they were amazing). It was an effort to try to spend over $ 10(credit card minimum), but I had a hell of an enjoyable time along the way. I can’t seem to find a website for this bakery, but I went on a weekday around 1pm. They were open and, in case you haven’t figured it out yet, delicious.

I read the amazing reviews on Unilocal about this place, so I was very eager and excited to try this place. However, I was so disappointed after trying their regular and chocolate biscotti, some type of almond croissant, and some type of dessert that the lady behind the counter(who was not friendly) swore was unlike anything we ever had after we asked her to suggest something. My hubby and I took one bite from all and ended up throwing it all away. If you think all deserts should taste alike then this is the place for you. I could not tell the biscotti, almond croissant, and the desert she suggested apart, they all tasted the same. They all tasted like a cheap sugary cake box mix. If you ever had real biscotti and almond croissants or any real baked goods from legit bakeries with multi level flavors, this place is not for you. Definitely not going ever again or not suggesting this place to anyone. Disappointing.

Pretty good stuff. I don’t have the biggest sweat tooth but if you do, it’s definitely a place to try.

By far, the best bakery in the North Miami area. Started coming here about 2 years ago because my best friend’s family always bought their challah from here for Shabbot, and now I’m addicted. They have the best chocolate croissants and black and white cookies that I’ve ever had. Everything is made with the best ingredients, and you would never guess that everything is kosher. The staff is extremely friendly and always remember people, even after the first visit. Prices are extremely cheap, so bring cash because it’s gonna be hard to spend the $ 10 minimum.

OMG this was unexpected. The deliciousness of the poppy seed cake from this bare walls shop in Surfside part of Miami is unparalleled. I’m a New Yorker and I grew up in Brooklyn. I’ve been to Budapest and Poland. I thought I have tasted good poppy seed cakes, but no. Rolling Pin does it just a bit better. There are no silly fillers like raisins. There is just lots of poppy and sweet goo. The poppy overwhelms the pastry and not vice versa. The rest of the offerings are less impressive to be frank(hence four stars and not five). All are generous on the filling, which is rare and nice, but nothing to write home about. Oh and this is also inexpensive. Compared to New York that is.
