Idlewild Ski Shop

As a long time customer to Elk Mountain Ski Resort, I consider myself an aficionado, of skiing and ski mountain experiences, This retail shop located on the bend of 374 at the turn at Elk mountain.
My first experiences here were simply of rentals of ski’s and polls until my son became of age to explore snow boarding. Now fifteen years old and four snowboards later, i have had many dealings with Idlewild Ski Shop. The staff one after another are well versed and give excellent information on the products. I am always impressed when a sales person spends time and truly knows about the pros and cons of a product. My son after renting boards, was offered to «Demo» a board. after the demo, he tried another demo and when finished the rental decided to purchase that board. This was the first ineradicable, wonderful experience with this shop and in particular «Bobby» Snow board Specialist. Now I find we can’t go past with out stopping in to see the family of Idlewild service providers.
Recently as last weekend we stopped in and my son was interested in picking up a stiffer binding, before we left I had purchased a new board bindings and boots for my growing son. I know I could have just changed his bindings, but I felt comfortable purchasing a new set up based on the honesty and integrity of this shop This was not a quick, hurry me up sale Bobby spent over a hour with us explaining the aspects of the board, bindings and sizing the exact boot. After purchasing a complete new set up we went to Elk Mountain were I found me son had improved his ability, confidence and speed dramatically. When in the area I strongly suggest you stop here and rent or purchase if renting, don’t rent from Elk Mountain
