Don’t let the size fool ya! Awesome little deli shack! The owners are locals and are super sweet. Every time someone walked up to the order window, they were greeted by name! You know it’s good when they have that many returning customers. I highly recommend this yummy deli! I had the Cabarillo on the freshly made wheat bun! So good!

Amazing place! What a great find, thanks Unilocalers! Awesome sandwiches, salads, and a lovely lavender ice tea. Perfect pit stop on the drive back to SF if you want delicious real food and not the usual service station junk.

MUST TRY!!! A TRUE 5 !! Everything we ate was absolutely FABULOUS! We had soup, sandwiches, wraps and desserts ALL fresh and delicious!!! You gotta stop off just to eat here even if your just driving through! Also fantastic customer service and quick! Loved every bite!

Fantastic service and food! I’m sooooo in love with her lavender ice tea! I also went back and had a homemade Italian soda (I believe it was grapefruit lime) and it was delicious as well! One day I had the wrangler sandwich which tasted amazing! It had a olive tompanade… my husband had the daily special (cilantro lime
Chicken) which was also soooo good! We split both sandwiches so we could try them both. For dessert a homemade twix bar which was phenomenal. I wanted to buy more to go but they were sold out. Thanks Dave, Molly and Nellie for an amazing lunch!

Randomly stopped in this small town for gas. checked Unilocal for some food recommendations. This place had an unusually high rating so why not. Now I know why. Super friendly and some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. This place is now my new stop Everytime I’m driving to or from Portland. Highly recommended

Best place to eat in Sutherlin, or anywhere! Love the daily specials that they have. Food is always delicious and extremely fresh. The owners are the nicest people in the world, and after a couple times of calling in orders they get to know your name. I could order one of everything on the menu and not have a problem with any of it. Prices are reasonable, food is high quality, service is fast and extremely friendly. I just wish they had a restaurant so there would be more seating options during the rainy season. But other than that the Cityslicker, Cowpoke, Giddy Up, and the Fish Tacos (when they’re available) are to die for.

I’m really not sure what I can add to all the great reviews on this page for Nellie’s Deli. Seriously, good sandwiches and soups in a little spot just off the I-​5 in Sutherlin, Oregon. I had read all the reviews before I lead our BMW motorcycle group (see image) for a ride, and just had to check it out for myself. Well, the reviews are spot on! Nellie’s best asset is her infectious smile and great spirit. She, and her staff, really make you feel appreciated as a customer. I have no reservations what-​so-​ever on recommending Nellie’s to friends and intend to stop here again, and again. Oh yes, and thank you Nellie, for those awesome little complimentary bags of sugar cookies and brownie bites! We love them.

Very good sandwiches! Great service and lots of parking for pickups and trailers. Quick stop off of I-​5 to grab some good fresh deli food.

We decided to stop off and get some lunch, but finding good healthy food on the 5 can be difficult. Safe to say we have found our new lunch spot!!! Just a block off the freeway and easy to spot. They have some cute tables outside, or they will box up your food for the road.
The Asian chicken Salad — OMG. Possibly the best Asian salad I’ve ever had. I don’t know what they put in their peanut dressing, but wow. For $ 9.95 I thought this better be a damn good salad and I was not disappointed. BFF got a turkey/​roast beef/​ham sandwich and it too was phenomenal.
If you want fresh, good quality healthy lunch, served up the friendliest couple, this is your stop!

This isn’t fancy food, but it is simple food done amazingly well. I stopped by for lunch. Thank goodness I did… This is how I remember food being when I was a kid, before everything was Sysco Foods. Stop by, you won’t be disappointed

My husband and I were on the road from Ashland to Portland today, and Unilocal led us to this gem of a place!
Tucked into the small town of Sutherlin, Nellie’s is an unbeatable spot for grabbing a gourmet sandwich or freshly prepared salad when passing through the area. Just off the I-​5 freeway, the cheery building and friendly personalities of Dave and Nellie make the experience all the more special!
Today, we devoured a Wrangler Sandwich (ham, salami, olive tapenade & provolone) and an Asian Chicken Salad (toasted almonds, fresh greens, crunchy noodles and to-​die-​for Thai peanut dressing). For dessert, we shared a little sack of brownie bites, and washed it down with homemade iced tea!
Your taste buds will thank you for skipping McD’s golden arches and heading for the little building with the red awning instead. :)

Absolutely outstanding little venue. The owners are SO kind! Food items are creative deli stand style and are very delicious with generous portions. Drinks are great too. (the Lavender Lemonade was freaking amazing!!)
Easy-​easy 5 star rating for my fiancé and I :).

Yes, it is a stand in a parking lot, but if you let that get in your way of a great meal then you’ve got more problems than missing this great sandwich joint.
The owners are extremely friendly and the outside seating/​stand décor is very well maintained.
I ordered the cowpoke on honey wheat and a peach tea. The family got a wrangler, couple of root beers, and a clam chowder. The sandwiches were made fresh and up quick.
Perfect bite of spice complements the tender meaty flavor on the cowpoke, while my dad says that the wrangler is a great blend of provolone smoke and garlicky goodness. The clam chowder is great with unique additions like carrots and red potatoes.

Stopped by here on my way up to my station in bremerton washington.
Staff couldn’t be any friendlier, my sandwich was absolutely amazing, not to mention active military gets a free root beer float.
Can’t wait to try some of the other sandwiches in the future
