Sutherlin, OR., a working covered bridge! Worth a few minutes off I-5 at Sutherlin, OR, exit 136. Drive west on Hwy 138, away from Sutherlin. In less than 5 minutes, take a right at Stearns Lane. When you come to a slight fork in the road, turn left. Rochester Covered Bridge will be just 50 feet away. You can drive, walk, or bike through this beautiful, covered, wooden bridge. It was originally built in 1933 and is 80 feet long. You can pull off the side of the road just before the bridge from Stearns Lane to walk through it for some outstanding photo opportunities. Definitely worth the few minutes to drive to if you’re in the area.
