This is a very small candy store, and it’s OK but it seems to me that it’s trying to do what the Emporium down the street has already been doing for years, and does a bit better, namely nostalgia. It’s doubtful that Sutter Creek can support two such candy stores so I guess I’m not understanding their business plan. On the other hand, I’ve heard the Emporium is for sale so it may be that they know exactly what they’re doing. It’s a brand new business and the sign was not up yet when I went in last week. It’s the same commercial candy and ultrasweet fudge that you see everywhere, nothing super special, but nothing wrong with it either.
