They have a large menu with a lot of choices. I go here for the fried chicken/beer special. $ 18 for a large plate of fried chicken and free pitcher of beer.

I was also expecting this to be a Japanese restaurant or another Izakaya, but this turned out to be more of a Korean drinking place. Even their hours Monday through Saturday were 5 pm — 2 am. They have smaller dishes or tapas to go with your drinks and have a nice selection of skewers as well. Skewer orders normally come with two skewers each, and range from $ 3.50-$ 6. I came on a Tuesday when the«special» on skewers is that they are $ 1.50 each, but I was disappointed to find out they meant that you would only get one skewer for that price. That is rather misleading since it wasn’t written on the menu and one would expect the same portion for a special, but I guess if you get one of the more expensive skewers it isn’t too bad. The service was good and I like the layout of the place, but it is a little unfortunate that it’s around back of the building, They served popcorn before our orders and I got 4 skewers(pork belly, chicken & garlic, chicken sausage, spicy pork belly) and a spicy tuna & salmon roll($ 10 for 4 rolls). I liked the skewers in that order, with the last being too spicy for me when drenched in red pepper paste. The roll was good but rather expensive.

A Japanese«tapas bar» with a wide variety of items that include Asian pancakes, seafood, dumplings, and large salads. I went on a Friday, when there was a happy hour that ran from 6 – 7. The entire tapas menu was 50% off during the happy hour. Great deal for happy hour. Sushi and barbecue items(salmon, mackerel, steak) are also served, but not with the happy hour discount. The one exception they made was the pork belly, which was not on the tapas menu but offered at half price. I tried the sashimi salad, the fried oysters, the pork cutlet, and the okonomiyaki. The sashimi salad was one of the more«expensive» items on the tapas menu, but is almost large enough to stand alone as a entrée salad. This was my favorite of the 4 items I ordered. There was a lot of fish, which I was happy about, but also too much dressing. If less dressing were added, this salad would be awesome. Fried oysters are what you would expect with respect to taste. Some of the oysters were medium sized, but half of them were small. The pork cutlet was fried and cut into thin slices. Make sure you mix the cole slaw with the dressing before you eat it. I never had okonomiyaki before, but I also think that this needs to be mixed before eating. The breading from the pancake tasted a bit strange by itself. It might just be something that I wasn’t used to. The beer menu is small, but there’s also a nice selection of cocktails to choose from. Not sure if I would eat here outside of happy hour based on this experience. But for a happy hour, it’s a wide selection with good value.
