Being from New York, I am always on the prowl for great pizza… found it! The crust and toppings are top notch. In addition, their wings(habanero BBQ!) are outstanding. During dinner, it is more of a family atmosphere, but as the night progresses, it becomes more of a great sports bar. In addition, there is live music on Thursday nights, and some very talented people come in to play and sing. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I’ve never had a bad experience. I highly recommend giving SPT a shot. You will be glad you did!

Awesome little hidden secret in Suwanee. Love their lunch specials, and their service. Would’ve given it 5 stars if they put more cheese.

The Pizza is ok. It would be much better if they added a lot more sauce. The first pizza I got from there had no sauce on it. If it was there, it was undetectable. I tried it again and ordered extra sauce, figuring this would take care of the issue. Nope. Barely any sauce, though I did see a little this time. Just a hint. Nice wait staff, but it’s just … well it lacks sauce.

This restaurant is not worth your time. I had dinner here tonight and ordered the chicken dinner that you couldn’t even consider an entrée. The chicken wasn’t even 3 it’s. When we asked the manager he said well the chicken does shrink during cooking, but agreed it was too small, then he came back to say they ran out of chicken. Then the waitress told us they run out of menu items often. I do not recommend this restaurant. Choose a place that is worth your time and can get your money’s worth.

Have only had take out pizza. Always consistent. Awesome crust(maybe rosemary and herbs). Only draw back is I have to put it in the oven when to heat it up. After reading the other reviews, I might need to dine in.

I’ve been eating here for sometime because I truly believe in supporting local business. However, the last few times I’ve eaten here I’ve been disappointed. This last time may really be my last unfortunately. I paid $ 24 for a large Ms Bianca and I had a min. of 2″ of crust which leaves 12″ of true toppings. Of these toppings the cheese was non existing. It was like eating buttered pizza dough with a sprinkle of feta. The first time I tried this pizza it was cheesy and you could taste the mozzarella but no anymore. It’s not worth paying this much for dough.

Nice restaurant. Good menu. Friendly service. If you’re looking for pizza reminiscent of the style in the Northeast, you’ll be disappointed. They have a gorgeous pizza oven, and which appears to be the old style with the fire inside. And yet still the pizza came out of the oven soggy. I didn’t even know that was possible. The crust is more like a breadstick, with herbs and grated cheese on it. Think dense, Olive Garden breadsticks with melted cheese on it. Tasty, but not fantastic pizza.

Bad pizza, bad service, burger was not fresh patty/frozen patty. If you want pizza, skip this place and find something else.

I come here all the time for the pizza which is great. However this time I order a hamburger and Wow… one of the best had I think the cut the top of the bun and butter it. I thought 5 guys was great but this one is INCREDIBLE. .5 stars.

I’m extremely sad to say that tonight was our last time visiting Suwanee Pizza Tavern. We just pulled out of the lot and I had to pull over to write about tonight’s experience. It is rare(maybe 2 – 3 times per month) that our children and I get to eat dinner with their father during the week, due to his work. He made a point to leave work early tonight to meet us here, because it is our oldest son’s favorite place because he specifically likes to make his own pizza and it’s the only night they offer it. My husband and I ate our salad and entrees before our boys even got to make their pizza. Meaning, we ate our dinner while our poor boys watched. The waiter completely forgot about us, and didn’t even offer to bring out some bread for them to eat with us. The woman managing overheard what was going on, the waiter knew he screwed up, but nobody offered to remedy anything and we were even charged full price. I left feeling very sad, I enjoy getting to spend time with my husband, and it is a treat for us to get to eat dinner. The guilt I felt eating my dinner when my children’s wasn’t even in the oven yet, was awful though. Yes, I shared, but it had onions all over it, so it wasn’t the most kid friendly. They didn’t even take off our iced teas, all two of them. We paid full price for a horrible experience. This was once one of my favorite places in Suwanee, I’m pretty disappointed.

Really cute space and fun for trivia. I am from the Northeast and appreciate good pizza. The pizza here was very underwhelming and the beer selection was very limited. The side salad was pretty good and generous. Service was great. I will probably return, but I might order something other than pizza.

We went there last friday for dinner. The family was craving pizza, so figured we’d give this place a try. The place had some empty tables, but there was a line to be seated. I then noticed that there were only 3 total employees in the entire place and they were playing the role of hostess, servers and bartenders. Getting a table took a while, as the 3 servers were busy. Once seated, service was slow, as the servers had more tables than they could handle. Plus, our server mentioned that there was no bartender, so they were playing the role of bartender with a bar full of patrons. We ordered the kids pizza first, with our appetizers, as the kids were hungry. We were expecting the kids pizza to come out first, but it didn’t. We then ordered our pizza after the appetizers were served. Our pizza came out, but no sign of the kids pizza. I mentioned to the server why we didn’t get the kids pizza and he said«it’s on it’s way». No sign of the server for 10 minutes and then I had to ask him again. Again he said«it’s on it’s way». He seemed really distracted because of the other 6 tables he was serving. Finally, he came back and said«the kitchen did not see the order and they are baking the pizza now». So why did it take so long for him to respond? I will never know. Pizza was ok, but service was atrocious. Not sure I’ll give this place a shot again, based on the service(or non-service) received.

Born and raised in NY, I’d say I know a thing or two about good pizza. This place is not good at all. Mediocre food at best. Pizza is far from authentic or even close to other places in the area. Kids liked it but they are easy to impress.

It’s been awhile since we’ve been in, but the Southern Buffalo chicken pizza is still some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! Don’t pass up a chance to try this place… you’ll be back.

Stopped in on a Wednesday evening for some dinner, a drink and trivia. Oh, and a Scout Mob deal that I, unfortunately, forgot to redeem. No worries. it just means I have to go back when I’m back in town. Service was good from start to finish. Attentive and not overbearing. The food was excellent! My group loved the Robilio house special pizza(minus black olives), The King pizza and the Greek salad with chicken. Timing was a little off. My entrée salad came out 10 minutes before the pizza that was also an entrée. But the pizzas were delicious and the salad was awesome. Perfect amount of toppings on both and the crust was delicious! I’m not sure what they put on it, but it’s super tasty! The only downside was that they were out of Sweetwater 420. We had been anxiously anticipating one all day. Thank goodness they weren’t out of Blue. Looking forward to returning and trying some different items.

I went with my friends in a group of about 20, and i recognize the difficulty of serving a large group, but what this restaurant did was unheard of. The interior itself was clean and modern, to the point that«tavern» is no longer a fitting name, and with a partly visible kitchen, i expected quality food. I ordered a 9 inch buffalo pizza and the result was not worth the long wait time. I had the first slice mindlessly but as the bitter taste persisted, i inspected the pieces and the bottoms were all burnt. Now with especially critical senses, i noticed that the top suffered as well. Yes the menu item calls for hot buffalo sauce added to the top, but it does not call for a pint of oil to be added. This resulted in a saturation of the dough which was interestingly both soggy and burnt. mixtures of contrasting textures may be desirable in some situations, but this was not one. I will also add that my pizza was not an isolated incident for one of my friends’ pizza was as, if not more, burnt than mine Because the food took so long to come out, and because i did not feel particularly like a Kitchen Nightmares diner, i did not call the kitchen out, but it is for a fact that you will not see me in that establishment

For a first time here, it was definitely a good one. This is different and a little pricier then the average pizza joint and for good reason. I came here on a ScoutMob and wanted to try a new place. I had the«Barbie Q» pizza which had chicken, bacon, BBQ sauce and sautéed onions. The dough was soft and so was the crust. If Im not mistaken, I believe the it was garlic or Parmesan or both. The pizza is definitely cooked in a brick oven and not via those super quick hot ovens you would expect at a normal pizza joint like Pizza Hut. This place has only been open about a year but to my understanding on the weeknights is the place can get pretty busy. The décor is pretty modern all around but its not overpowering and overdone. The bar is fully stocked and quite a selection to choose from. If you’re looking for a break from the normal pizza joint, this is a great place!

This is honestly the BEST pizza I’ve had in Georgia so far! Every bite was AMAZING! I discovered this pizza place on Scoutmob(50% off your bill up to $ 15 value) and it was the best discovery by far! I had the Barbie Q pizza which included chicken, bacon, BBQ sauce and sautéed onions. The dough had a very unique taste and the sauce was not overwhelming! The crust was also AMAZING and I usually never eat crust! It tasted just like a garlic knot without the extra garlic on top and the seasoning was mixed within the dough. It was super soft and not brick-like and tasteless like most pizza restaurants. They have a full bar and a gorgeous, modern atmosphere. The decorations around the restaurant were beautiful. We even acknowledged the silver fans on the ceiling! One of the managers came over to ask how our meal was and we were all smiles. They have only been open for about 1 year. They have plenty of TVs to watch sports! They also have kids night on Monday where kids can make their own pizza(even toss their own dough). It’s a great place for friends and family! I will definitely be back soon!

Suwanee Pizza Tavern was a pleasant surprise. There was a sort of rockabilly vibe to the place(perhaps it was merely the waitresses that were on shift at that particular time). The service was friendly — especially friendly since we just so happened to stumble in a few hours before the 1-year anniversary celebration of the pizza tavern’s opening. The garlic knots were a great appetizer — and a great way of knowing that their pizza dough was to our liking. To our liking? Okay, that’s a gross understatement. The pizza dough was excellent. So, we ordered the Formaggio Ultimo pizza(adding pepperoni). Oh my was that good. I like that there were actual small dollops of ricotta cheese and small cubes of mostly melted feta visible on the pie. The Suwanee Pizza Tavern doesn’t get too fancy, nor do they play it safe — they’ve struck the perfect balance with interesting pizzas that aren’t too pretentious, too wacky, or too traditional. I definitely plan on coming back here.

Great food– easily the best pizza in Gwinnett, if you ask me. The owner was also great and donated quite a few pizzas to my(very underfunded) school program, which we appreciated so much! I will say, the service is rough. Everyone’s cheery and polite, but the army of undergrads working here aren’t exactly on point. Sometimes they’re so busy dancing around with the musician, playing tag, and hula hooping(seriously) that it leaps over the line from charming to annoying. I also wish they’d turn down the live music. I like the musicians– but sometimes the volume blows me away.

Absolutely loved this place! BF was craving pizza, so I went to Scoutmob to see if there were any promising places. We checked out SPT’s menu and it sounded good, so off we went. SPT is tucked in a small-ish shopping center where The Fresh Market is. We were quickly greeted by Bree. The restaurant was weirdly laid out… immediately in front of the entrance is a fully-stocked bar and huge communal table that seats 10 people. Then… there is a whole lot of empty space and then about 8 – 9 booths that seat 6 people each. So all in all, not a place that seats a ton of people. I thought it was weird there was that huge gap in the middle of the restaurant, but whatever. Bree was great. Totally on top of things. She noticed I stole the BF’s lemon wedge for my water, so she brought out more lemons for me. We ordered the 16 in. Robilio(house special, $ 19.99) which had green peppers, onions, mushrooms, Italian sausage, ham and pepperoni. Basically, their version of a supreme pizza. We also got a Caesar side salad for $ 4.59. Caesar side salad was great… wish there was more of it! When the pizza came out, I was in awe. It was much, MUCH bigger than I was expecting. And it was absolutely delicious. The crust had parmesan sprinkled on it. The crust itself was very light, not a whole lot of flavor to it on its own(apparently it is meant to be an herbed crust) but with the rest of the very flavorful pizza, the crust was the perfect complement. Somehow, the pizza wasn’t very greasy either. We devoured half the pizza between the two of us and are saving the other half for dinner. With the Scoutmob deal, dinner came out to $ 13-something. It would have ordinarily been $ 24-something, so still not bad at all for a filling meal for two that has enough leftovers for another meal. Like I previously mentioned, the restaurant has a fully stocked bar. There are several flat screen TVs lining the bar area, so I think it doubles as a sports bar of sorts. There were a bunch of guys just sitting and hanging around. Looks like a decent place to catch a game. They’ve got wings if pizza isn’t your thing.
