Steak and cheese can’t be beat. Friendly atmosphere priced right. It’s hard to get to if you don’t pass it but if you do on way home or working it’s worth the stop or call and your food will be waiting. From talking to people the pizza is just as good as my steak and cheese which I have ordered about a dozen times now. Hope you enjoy Cindy’s like I do

I’ve been three times for a cheese steak and they are very very good. Tastes like the cheesesteaks in the boson area when I was a kid. Looking forward to trying the pizza and other menus items. Not too far fro the beaches in Nahant, Lynn and of course Swampscott. Worth the trip!

We decided on pizza but didn’t want to travel far, so we paid our second visit to Cindy’s. There’s nothing fancy about the place, which makes for a straightforward dining experience: tonight it was a large pizza(pepperoni, mushroom, pineapple) and two bottled sodas. The pizza is just how I like it, with a crisp to the crust but a bit chewy on the topping side. The help is friendly and familiar as befits a neighborhood place, complete with the occasional gaggle of high schoolers dropping by for a quick order of chicken fingers and fries. There’s a pretty comprehensive menu of subs and grilled items, as well as some pasta dishes. Maybe next time we branch out beyond a pie… but for now, pizza it is!

I had a steak bomb sub here and it was kind of meh. I would expect something much larger and fuller than what I got when compared to other sub shops for the same size sub. Bun was all soaked and greasy. I couldn’t even hold it. Not worth the money. I haven’t tried the pizza yet. I will make a review in the future and update this review.

When you move to a new town, finding a go to pizza place is critical. Mission accomplished here as Cindy’s is a no frills, NY style thin crust joint on the North Side of Swampscott’s tiny downtown. Standard fare but damn tasty, quick and easy. In my estimation, the best ‘za in Southern Essex county.

I grew up in the area and somehow Cindy’s stayed off my radar. Perhaps it is a deceiving exterior. Now I know why I always saw folks running in as a drove by. They have wonderful slices. Even the ones that look like they have been around the better part of 90 min or more are simply fab. Do not hesitate to stop here and chow down.

Cindy’s is really the best pizza I’ve found in Swampscott. The delivery can be a little slow, but perhaps that’s because it’s so popular around here.

This place was opened in the 1960s by my grandfather. «Cindy» is actually my mom… and my dad actually met my mother here. In a way it has to get 5 stars for being largely responsible for my existence. It hasn’t been owned by anyone in my family for 25+ years, but it’s still a great place to get an authentic Italian sub. The current owners have been true to form. Sicilian sheet pizza is another favorite.

Every town in Massachusetts has a pizza and sub joint but they are definitely no all equal. Cindy’s is great. Everything is fresh and the Italian sub with hots is my favorite.

The only decent pizza I’ve eaten in a suburb. Order a large cheese. You won’t be disappointed.

We had Cindy’s pizza for the first time this evening. A large with peppers, olives and mushrooms. The ingredients were very fresh, the sauce was tasty, not cloying or sharp, and the thin crust had excellent flavor. I thought it was priced very reasonably. The folks weren’t particularly friendly, but maybe they take a while to warm up to strangers. I definitely will be back for pizza again, and subs too, no doubt.

This pizzeria reminds of an Italian pizza joint by my house in Jersey growing up(not shore Jersey! North Jersey!). My best friend and I would walk home from middle school every day and sometimes we’d stop by and grab a slice of freshly made Brooklyn style pizza with a wonderful thin, chewy crust and melting cheese. Thank you Cindy’s for rekindling that part of my childhood! Cindy’s cheese pizza(no toppings) is simple and delicious. You can taste the acidity of the tomato and the lightness of the crust. While the cheese is probably a mozzarella blend instead of hand-pulled homemade mozzarella, it is the closest to a tristate style pizza I have found since coming to Boston. It’s best to eat the entire pizza hot, but it is also delicious for a midnight snack. The slices don’t feel heavy going down so take care to share and not eat the entire pie by yourself(like I have wanted to)! Also good are their hot subs, which are extremely cheap for the amount of food and the QUALITY. They have an amazing steak and cheese sub as one Unilocaler already reviewed: no peppers or onions here, just simply thin sliced steak cooked with quality cheese, resulting in a wedding of melting cheesy goodness and juicy steak! So good! Also good is their cheeseburger sub(which comes with two patties!) and apparently their ham bomb(I never had it but my fiancé really likes it). Since we literally live down the street, it takes some self control not to order from there all the time. One good deterrence is that it would be too lazy of me to try to get them to deliver to my door, a block away from their shop. Oh what a double edged sword! Also, the food is probably not too healthy to eat daily. PS — if you are really cheap and don’t want to pay $ 10 for a quality pizza(and it is definitely worth the money), you can get coupons online. I’ve never used them since it’s a local business and the food is great so I’ve always felt I’ve gotten my money’s worth.

decent slice, not amazing, but definitely not bad either. Service was a little slow but a youth league football game had just finished and the place was mobbed, so that might have had something to do with it. Wish it had a little more indoor seating.

really great pizza fresh chewy dough with the right amount of sauce and cheese, excellent authentic italian america(not like dominos), good sandwiches though the buffalo chicken needs work(use buffalo sauce guys, not just spicy breading). Coldcuts are fresh and delicious.
