Family owned. Caring, helpful staff. Been coming here for 22 years and that hasn’t changed. Old fashioned hardware store where the staff has a system and knows where everything is and yet they have everything a modern house would need. Especially good with seasonal items. Love the personalized service.

As a little girl I grew up helping my Dad out in his store. I loved working here, he had just about everything you could possibly have in a store. I also loved proving the men when they asked for a man to help them(: They fix lamps, screens, windows, mowers, Sell everything from paint to nails… It is very much so a mom and pop store. So head in there and look around. Great advice also.

Had some window and patio door screens redone here. Service was fast and reasonable. One window runs about $ 20.

This is as close to a true mom-and-pop hardware store as you can make it. Despite the small store footprint, they have just about everything from home wares, paint, garden and electrical, as well as a super tool selection. I close my eyes, and I could see Norman Rockwell shopping here for his hardware necessities. The small store is located steps from the Swarthmore Septa Rail station, a block away from the Coop, and across the street from the Swarthmore Athletic camp. Friendly, knowledgeable, and a wonder to visit. When you’re in the mood to support local business instead of impersonal box stores, stop by there.

Fast service, super knowledgeable owner and friendly. Hardware stores are confusing and my first priority is getting in and getting out, with perhaps someone who can answer my questions about doorknobs and ladders. I couldn’t ask for better, and it’s right near the train :).
