I am of Irish decent. My father tells me stories of record holding bench-pressing accolades he received from high school. I am hard wired to be strong, lean, motivated and determined. Then I meet Kelly Adorno. At first interaction, I tell Kelly that I can do sits-ups all day long. My core is strong. I can do pull-ups, push-ups, crunches, and the works I’m Irish. She responds with her traditional encouraging«uh-huh» and then puts me to work. I realize after fifteen minutes that this woman; this Pilates goddess, is challenging me beyond my preconceived capabilities. I am constantly saying to her«Is this real Life? I never knew this muscle existed.»
I am awe-inspired by Kelly’s motivation to push me, challenge me, and to motivate me more than any one person in my life. She is passionate about her profession and it shows in her desire to learn more about her clients, her profession and me personally. She asks me how I feel, how I’m doing since our last session, how was my weekend and what do I want to work on today. Kelly is a true gift in my life.
