Went here one time, and never returned. Staff friendly but not sure if they were having plumbing problems that day, but the stench hit me in the face right when I walked in. NOTHANKYOU.

An okay diner that offers the basics in food and ambiance, Swedesboro Diner would be workable as a quick stop but probably not one to return to very often. It leaves a lot to be desired; The food doesn’t feel like it’s been made with much TLC. Yes it’s diner food, but this is also NJ, a state that’s rich in classic diner options. I’m sure the locals wouldn’t mind seeing some more effort put in. The ambiance edges toward depressing. Avoid the monte cristo sandwich. Gyro, French toast, cheesesteak, and burger were«ok».

Have not been here in years due to the war and having to move. Before I lost my right foot, I came here and loved their Philly Cheesesteak, Eggplant Parmigiana, and breakfast. Times have changed, but I remember the great taste of this establishment.

I have eaten there many times, and the food is usually great. But not tonight. I ordered veal saltimbocca and it was terrible. Veal was very, very tough, and the sauce was beyond sweet. I brought it to the attention of two managers and all they said was sorry! That’s it? I will think twice about returning now. Of all they money I have dropped there, they should have adjusted the bill.

The best thing I can say about the diner is that the service is impeccable. Every employee is attentive and courteous, it’s quite refreshing in an area where the higher end establishments fail in this department. Food is good, nothing fancy, just tasty diner food. Never had a bad meal whenever I visit, which is 2 – 3 times per month for breakfast or dinner. Highly recommend.

This is a basic diner, nothing fancy. But we had good food at fair price and with good and friendly service. The place was recommended by locals and was a good choice for meeting friends. Quiet and a good choice for catching up with them.

Haven’t had a complaint yet about the food. Been here for breakfast and lunch, so eggs, sandwiches, burgers, etc. All been great. What you would expect from a diner. Lost a star because they are always mopping mid-day when I have been there. The first time I nearly killed myself by slipping on the bathroom floor, and the second time the stench of the bleachy-dirty water bucket was beyond gross. So maybe if they could time their mopping to after hours, it would be a better dining experience.

I went to this diner on advice of several friends. I had the chicken croquet with mashed potatoe and side of french fries. Soup came with the meal it was chicken tortelini soup and it was good made with chicken stock doctored up. The croquets were like meatballs wich reminded me of tysons. Not bad but not what I expected. My partner had new england clam chowder and loved it also he got the ponderosa delux burger well worth the money. Its kinda far for us to just go there but if we are near we will stop. Wait staff is good and friendly. Nothing special imo

This is a quaint little diner tucked away in the quiet little town of Swedesboro. The waitstaff are attentive and kind. The food is very good and larger portions! You get a great meal for your dollar. I love their Wednesday all you can eat chicken pot pie! Yum doesn’t even begin to the joy that you feel devouring this meal! Great place, good food and diner excellence all in the heart of South Jersey.

Swedesboro Diner is the most convenient diner with excellent food and daily specials. Service is excellent! Friendly personnel. One of my favorite places in the area for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

OK, I’ll up them to three stars because yes, if you stick with sandwiches, burgers and melts they are pretty ok. Their Ruben is solid, also the basic chicken grilled sandwiches and burgers as I’ve been back here a few times with family. Also the service is good and fast even on Sundays when they’re packed with the after-church and soccer mom crowds.

Only come here in a pinch. Out of all of the Jersey diners I’ve experienced, this is one of my least favorites. I’ve had one too many bad experiences. Go down the street to any of the other local restaurants and you’re guaranteed a much, much better meal.

I like this little spot that has a family type atmosphere, seeing its family run they make you feel as comfortable as possible. They serve a GREAT breakfast and a even a good lunch. We went in and it was still in between times where you can get away with the breakfast scene or go with lunch. well we went with lunch. Our waitress was very friendly which she recommended some great things, a lot of homemade things were made on special that day. I rocked out a home made New England clam chowder that was very good. You can tell this wasn’t a progresso, or a Campbell’s product from a can, this was actual homemade . Also I enjoyed a Texas bacon cheddar burger w/bbq sauce, that came with steak fries.(gotta love the steak fries) A side note for you to ponder, if you ask for it to be a deluxe it comes with onion rings and the veggies to put on the burger, with a little shot of cole slaw on the side. So go with the Deluxe, you’ll thank me. My cousin got the Cobb salad with grilled chicken and their home made blue cheese dressing. This thing was a monster had the pieces of pita and a whole lot of chicken and bacon in it, of course the greens and so forth. They added a little something to it which made it interesting in Mediterranean olives and a stuffed grape leaf stuffed with rice and a little sausage. Like I had mentioned earlier the staff was friendly, our waitress never steered us wrong. She always came around asked how everything was, if we needed anything. food was good for this being a little diner. The bathrooms were clean, along with the tables were cleaned off the moment a patron left.

It’s a diner. Good for breakfast and that’s it. Made the mistake of going for dinner a few months ago… Probably one of the worst meals I’ve ever had.
