They score big with us because they knew what goes into a Chicago style hot dog! Yum. Beyond that, it is clean, the staff are very friendly, and the prices are good, too. We aren’t from the area, so it was a fun find for us while visiting.

Such a fun atmosphere! I love the 50’s theme. The burgers are out of this world! Seriously one of the best burgers I have ever had.

This place has hot some amazing burgers. They are so big and loaded with toppings. Deff one of my favorite places in sycamore. A little skimpy on the Fries tho.

This is the most inconsistent place I’ve been. Sometimes they close an hour early, sometimes the to go container is the default container for dine-in orders, sometime the employees are polite, sometimes cheese comes standard on a tamale boat, but then again sometimes it’s the opposite. Though, their food is usually pretty good, but without consistency it’s arbitrary how good of a trip I have.

A great locally owned old-fashioned diner. Absolutely no substitutes if you want good diner food. They have a VERY big menu and lots of condiments for sandwiches. The only reason I rate this 4 stars is because the inside looks a bit dirty from time to time, but nothing major. Overall an excellent restaurant. If you’re in the area, you’ve gotta give it a try.

This place is so fun, you will love it! Call you doctor first, the heart stopper menu might stop your ticker just from reading it. Where else are you gonna get a bison burger? Try it you’ll like it.

Not sure if it’s because it’s always my last stop on a downtown SYC session, but Riccardo’s is always the best last stop ever! Mmmmm Delicious!

Stopped in here after taking a look at the old theatre next door. Looked like a cute lil 50’s 60’s place. Owners are very nice, food is great, nice atmosphere good people. Will definitely come back again.

Locally owned, Great restaurant located in the heart of down town Sycamore. Right next door to the Sycamore Movie Theater and around the corner from MVP’s Sports bar. They have great sandwiches, burgers, and deserts. Open kitchen, friendly staff, clean, and live acoustic music some evenings. They are open until 3am on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer. Seriously, 3am!!! All prices include tax as well! I am a fan of Lil Suzie’s Grilled Cheese(with tomato and bacon) for only $ 3.75 and then a medium fries. Their menu has so many options, and many kinds of burgers. I have heard wonderful things about them as well as their multitude of shake flavors. They have kids meals that they serve in a colorful old style car that the kids can take home. And if you so dare a food challenge, there is the D.O.A burger challenge. What is the D.O.A. D.O.A. = Seven quarter pound patties, ten strips of bacon, six pieces of cheese and grilled onions. Do you have it in your to try it and make it into their hall of fame? Why don’t you go and check this place out and find out.

The food was pretty mediocre, but worst of all my hotdog was cold. I felt as if there wasn’t a lot of flavor to anything. I had a hot dog, side of fries and fried pickles. Their prices are a little too high, however, I have yet to try anything else. I may be back.

After reading the numerous reviews I was impressed. Plus I like supporting local Mom and Pop businesses when I get a chance. The good: The food wasn’t bad. The bad: The place was pretty filthy. The floors looked like they hadn’t been swept or mopped in days. The space between the cushions on the bench seating was filthy with clearly visible dropped food. The garbage at the entrance was overflowing. The tables were not wiped down after people left. The place wasn’t busy, and when we walked in and the two young women that were cooks were chatting and texting, not cleaning a conspicuously filthy place. If there’s time to text and chat, there’s certainly time to clean when you’re getting paid to do a job. The two young women were obnoxious. They talked loudly and joked as if they were in their kitchen at home. This was bad enough, but the fact one of them had the most annoying voice, and would sometimes seemingly try to talk like a baby only further detracted from our dining experience. This young lady with the annoying voice kept loudly complaining and repeating about how much time she had left working«Only four more hours!» «I can’t wait to be done». I didn’t know working at Riccardi’s was so burdensome. The other girl felt compelled to loudly proclaim to her co-worker that she was going to the bathroom so the whole restaurant could hear it. Thanks for sharing! This place could be great if they cleaned up, and had some professional employees that actually cared. So if you don’t mind obnoxious staff and filth this place isn’t that bad. As I said the food was actually pretty good. Hopefully my experience was the exception, not the rule.

Not too many places where I live I won’t go back to. This makes that very short list. Prices are already above average, however if you use a debit or credit card, they tack on even further fees. \\Staff seems somewhat disorganized and not friendly. While the food isn’t bad, I would not rate it anything better than average. Sorry guys, needs lots of work.

A fifties diner playing seventies Led Zepplin. This place was average and over priced especially for quality of food. The shakes are really overpriced and the burgers are made from frozen bad meat. They do not taste very good and are sub par to what you would get elsewhere.

By far the best restaurant in town! The food is amazing! Especially the burgers! The menu is huge and there is a lot of unique items. I’m pretty sure they’d even make you something that wasn’t on the menu if you asked them. The people have always been very nice and even though I get mine to go most of the time, the atmosphere is very nice also. I don’t eat out very often but when I do, this is the only place I like to eat at anymore. It’s definitely worth it!

On the way to northwestern illinois I stopped for a snack at Riccardis Red Hots and it turned into a whole other thing. I got a chili cheese dog and the snack sampler– fried mushrooms fried zucchini fried mozzarella fried pickle fried onions with ranch for dipping. My companion got a cheeseburger. For dessert we had two fried Oreos and a fried twinkie on a stick ala mode.
