Our first time ordering pizza in Sycamore. I was surprised at the quality and will order there again.

Sam’s is by far the best pizza in the Dekalb area! I was very disappointed with the pizza we had tried at several locations in the area but were relieved to find this gem! The ingredients are fresh(none of the canned bs) and their deep dish is fantastic! Their regular pie is good as well! Definitely worth checking out!

I found a LARVA(Disgusting Moving Worm) in Cannoli… Yes it was Moving and scared me to death. you must read this… I ordered a Pizza, Coke and Cannoli for delivery and instead of promised 40 Mins it arrived in 1 hour 25 mins(I was 2.2 miles away)… then the delivery guy brought the wrong Coke(Regular not Zero)… He came back after 20 mins to replace and here comes the worst part… I found a LARVA(Disgusting Moving Worm) in Cannoli… Yes it was Moving and scared me to death. I ate little bit already so I am scared nothing happens to me, I called the manager and he offered me another Cannoli which obviously I didnt want… then he returned me $ 2.46 just for the Cannoli not the full refund because he says the worm was only in Cannoli… He sent someone to take the Cannoli back but Honestly I will never recommend anyone to eat there!!!

The good: good quality sauce, crust, overall taste. I will definitely order again. The bad, 45 minute plus wait to get the pizza and $ 18 for a 16 inch 1 topping pizza is not so hot but not out of line with similar pizza places. Besides planning to order ahead of time, there’s an online coupon where if you order a 16 inch they’ll give you a 10 inch cheese for free.

Pizza here is not good… At all. High prices for bad quality. Better off at Pizza Hut. Restaurant setting is not flattering either. Gives off an awkward vibe.

The pizza was okay, but pricey. For 2 medium 12 inch pizzas, the total was $ 38.05.

Went in on Saturday night. There was only one other table and they already had their food. Waited an hour and ten minutes for a medium(14″) pizza. The pizza itself was excellent, generous toppings and cheese was just slightly browned, the sauce had a little sweet to it but not over powering, the pepperoni had a little bite to it. All together made for a good pizza. I thought it was a bit pricey, $ 29.86 for a 14″ pizza and 2 cokes?!

Happened to be in Sycamore for the first time, and thought this little unassuming pizza place had serious potential. Boy was I right! The place is small. Filled with neon orange booths that look like they were transported from a 1981 McDonalds. Awesome. The pizza maker behind the counter is Sam’s son, direct from Italy. I struck up a conversation with him and learned that he has been making pizza there for 37 years. THIRTYSEVENYEARS. That alone is reason to visit! The menu is small, but the pizza is great. Sausage was big homemade chunks, and the cheese was plentiful. Check online for the special and you get a free 10 inch cheese pizza for free with your order. Bonus! So…Sam’s rocks. Run, don’t walk, to Sam’s Pizza!

Delicious AND affordable! Their sausage pizza is great. No need to ask for extra cheese, they always give a generous amount on their pizzas so for you cheese lovers, this is the place. Their bosco sticks are like heaven and the time for delivery was quicker than what they promised. However, wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce, or lack there of which is why I give 4 instead of 5 stars, but I would definitely order from them again.

They make a solid classic pizza. The thin crust is hand-tossed, and is both crisp and chewy. The sauce has a little zing to it, and they do a good job not overwhelming the pie so that it’s swimming in grease or is water-logged due to too many cruciferous veggies getting soggy. They are a true mom and pop establishment. The owner usually rings me up when I pick up a pizza; he’s very soft spoken and sweet. They are not the kind of place that does assembly line pizza, so preparation times can be lengthy, and I have had to wait 15 – 20 minutes extra when I pick up a pizza because things have gotten busy. But I can forgive that because this area simply doesn’t have much pizza of this caliber… it’s worth the wait.

Very good pizza. Their gluten free crust is excellent if they don’t burn it. Was not five stars because from the time of order to delivery takes at least an hour. Basically, great pizza, but, the place seems to be poorly run.

I’ve began wondering about this pizzeria as I often pass it to and from one of my New Glarus beer hauls. Ordered a stuffed pizza to go, which had a 55 minute wait, which didn’t bother me as I figured that it must be pretty good. Walked in and encountered a friendly grey-haired man making dough, who had a pleasant aura and demeanor about him. Pizza was pretty good, even though the flavor was rather light as I really never had a stuffed pizza wasn’t either too cheesy or had too much sauce, this had an equal balance of both. Overall not bad, interior had a 80’s nostalgic feel to it.

I tried Sam’s last night due to being tired of the same old same old. After reading the reviews I figured there’s no way delivery would take that long, and ordered it anyway. It really was about an hour and a half, and it really was some of the best pizza I have ever had. Great cheese. Not greasy. Very tasty crust. I know where I will be buying my pizza from now on in Sycamore.

My husband and I had to go gluten free last fall, and we’ve been really missing good pizza. After hearing Sam’s had gluten free pizza, we decided to give them a try. It was the best gluten free pizza we’ve had! Also, the man who helped me on the phone and my husband in the store(I’m guessing it was Joe) was extremely helpful and even asked about our gf journey. Ordered it again tonight. It will not be the last time.

The pizza is the best. It is cooked the old fashion way and use quality ingredients. You won’t be disappointed. Keep in mind that it does take a little longer for them to cook the pizza. They are not cooking it on a conveyor belt.

This was the first time I ordered from Sam’s Pizza and thought the pizza was great. It is the best pizza I have had in the Dekalb/Sycamore area since I moved here 5 years ago. The thin crust was perfect and the amount of cheese was just how I like it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of two things. I was told that delivery would be around 40 mins and it took almost 90 mins for my pizza to arrive. I do not have a problem waiting as long as they give me an accurate time. The nice thing is that the food was hot when it arrived. I also ordered bread-sticks and they did bring them. Normally with the forgot bread-sticks and long delivery time I would put this on my no go list, but the pizza was great and will order again.
