I’ve been here a handful of times now and last time I let the over cooked eggs in huevos rancheros slide. This last time I went I told the lady taking my order to make sure the eggs are over easy because the last time I asked for over easy they came out well done. While I waited for my food she told me she had to send the eggs back because she noticed they were well done again. I was very grateful. I should also mention I also ordered a bean and cheese burrito. Got home and was pissed to find that the eggs in the huevos rancheros were well done… AGAIN. Then to add insult to injury the bean and cheese burrito was COLD; the cheese had not even melted and it was all sitting at one end of the burrito and some along the middle. It was disgusting, I couldn’t even enjoy it. How do you screw up a bean and cheese burrito? The aguas frescas are always delicious although they ran out of tamarindo so I got piña; still very delicious. I called to speak to supervisor and apparently it was the same person who took my order and she was very apologetic and asked me to come back so she can issue me a refund and new food. I wasn’t going to do that. For now, I do not plan on going back; that may change since it is so convenient. I hope it doesn’t suck when I come back.

This place is better then most Mexican restaurants in Sylmar. It has flavor and the prices are killer. I recommend this place!!!

Don’t order their asada quesadilla. It was so greasy. If I weren’t at work on my lunch break, I would’ve taken it back. I am so disappointed.

I’m done with this place. Since I live in the area I’ve stopped here several times because of the convenience. The food has always been so, so. It is really over priced for what you get as compared to similar restaurants. Today I’ve decided, «never again». After waiting for a long time at the«express» window, I received the incorrect order and it was cold. I live about 5 minutes away. I did call to let them know. I did not want to drive back tonight(it is a bit late) and they asked my name and said they would replace the meal tomorrow. I really don’t know if I will bother.

EXPRESS??? Really!!! 38 minutes to get order on a Sunday. Four easy orders. Two kids meals, two combo orders. Straight forward! Please take the express off the name.

their food is HORRIBLE! now it’s not just a one time experience, my family and me have gone back numerous times just to see if they had an off day but nope, their tacos and taquitos are always sitting in water, and incredibly soggy, their enchilada dinner was dry and everything is always COLD! the people who work there are no better the females have an attitude and the men don’t say anything, they are always in a rush maybe that’s why everything sucks?, I even went during breakfast and got a menchaca burrito and they gave me the wrong burrito with no cheese and it was so gross I threw it out and didn’t even bother to go back to exchange it… and on top of everything else they are incredibly over priced. I’ve tried numerous times with this place and each time it seems to get worst, never again!

This is an express location. That means they have a drive through and a very small seating area inside. They don’t serve alcohol at this location. Very convenient for those who live close by. They have a jalapeño salsa that is out of this world! It does have a kick to it but it’s a must try! I always add it to my asada salad! Highly recommend this place :)

Came here for breakfast on Sunday, the service is outstanding. The girls are very nice and they are fast. They were very busy and still served us well. The food is delicious. It wasn’t always this way, I don’t know what they changed but I love it. The agua de Melon is my favorite. Tacos are yummy. My hubby had steak and eggs, it was all delicious. Will be a regular here.

Decided to try this place out for lunch. My lunch is only 30 mins. After I ordered my food and drink they brought me chips and dip. 15 mins went by and no food. After 20 mins of waiting I asked how much longer and I heard the cook saying he was barely going to make it. Wasted my lunch and looks like I’ll be eating cold food later. Take into consideration that I was the only person sitting down to eat.

This place is amazing!!! Prices are reasonable, service is great and let’s talk about their salsas… If you love hot, this is your place. They have this creamy jalapeño salsa that is to die for and also their red tomatillos salsa omg!!! Awesome.

Small seating area but great food and service. Passed by hundreds of times but went in after church today with friends. Glad I did. Will definitely return.

the food here is barely okay. they have yet to cook chorizo and eggs correctly, either runny or burnt. But whatever you do do not use an ATM or credit card here. The last few months every time I do the network is down or the people don’t know how to do the most basic functions. And then it’s a fight to get the charges corrected.

I was craving some carne asada tacos and I was stuck at work far far away from King Taco. I remembered a coworker raved about the carne asada here. I dont’ know if it was an off night but my 3 carne asada tacos($ 1.65 each) had more a beef jerky or deep fried beef texture. The grease from the meat pooled in the foil that they were wrapped in. But they did load up the meat in the tacos. I was glad to have grabbed some extra onions and cilantro so I could drown out some of the fried meat. I really should have just skipped the tacos and ate the chips they packed with my order. The salsa bar is a perk but the salsas themselves aren’t all that great. But I did like the grilled serrano peppers and the jalapeño salsa mixed in with the pico de gallo wasn’t terrible.

Horrible customer service!!! I will never return. Whenever i am sick this is where i go to pick up a caldo de pollo and fresh OJ. This visit was such a disappointment. The girls were too busy talking to get my order right.

What gives? Today is Friday the place is only half full and the server ask us to sit at a dirty table. Soo my appetite drops & I downgrade my order from full to ala carte. A few minutes later the place packs & it dawns on me this staff is just burnt from a roller coaster ride of busyness. On the other hand they still had the same problems from last review… check etiquette. Food quality fine… still a help wanted sign haunts the window.

So as I finished ordering I sat down to begin my review of this place, and then lickety split whoop there was my food ready to go. So yeah express means express. I had decided to check this place out only because I enjoyed another place called by the same name a couple of miles away, Same franchise I guess, anyways I actually enjoy the food there and here. They have a great menu of all the standards, but I guess the draw is that it is also a drive through place with indoor seating. there is a couple of tables outside but hey, really who wants to get up to get more salsa… right? Great lunch place.

I found out about this place when I moved near the area a few years ago. Initially I thought it was a hole in the wall place, but now I know it’s part of a chain. This is a great place to get affordable Mexican food without having to resort to the mainstream places like Taco Bel or Del Taco. The place is small but quaint. Indoor sating is good for 30 people or less. They do have outdoor seating and a drive thru, which is nice. The place is always clean and the staff are very friendly. The food here is great. Their fajitas are awesome, and their tacos are tasty, especially the carne asada tacos. I recently got the Super Tostada with grilled chicken, it’s a lot of food! The salsas are made fresh and I love their tortilla chips. The rice can be a bit dry at times, but is good nonetheless. I would recommend trying this place out to anyone. I have ordered from them a few times to accommodate my poker nights, and they’ve never disappointed. If you’re not dining in, you should order in advance if you’re getting a big order, because it does take time to prepare.

¡Un poco de la mejor comida mexicana en Sylmar! Pardon me if that wasn’t right, I totally Google translated«Some of the best Mexican food in Sylmar» I don’t know where to begin, maybe the super easy and quick drive thru, or the amazingly generous serving sizes. Hmm. I will start from the outside in. To start, it is at a very easily access point. The parking is good for the size, and never really packed when I go. When I use the drive thru it is really fast. I am really surprised! It is a very clean lot and up kept. The inside is small, but again, for the business it is perfect. I don’t expect to walk into a Baja Fresh size place. The Food! Agh! The Carne Asada Soft Tacos. They are to die for! And the do not hold out on the meat at all. They are always overflowing and so delicious with lime. The bean and cheese burritos are great and even better when you ask for them with enchilada sauce. **DISCLAIMER: Request light sauce unless you REALLY love the sauce.** Everything is fresh and you can tell they take the time to make everything there. (I am only giving examples of the basic soft taco and bean and cheese because if I went off on everything you wouldn’t know what half the stuff was. haha) The girls at the window are so sweet and nice. I have had one one a bad day, but I don’t hold that against her.
