Worst ever! Absolutely nothing positive to say about my experience with this company over the years. Their employees must really hate their jobs because it is obvious that they do not care one bit.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are comically inept. Do not, do no, do not sign an agreement with them. The Elevator business is a huge racket, and they take advantage of 5 year service agreements. Run away!

ZERO STARS! Worst elevator company! They bill for every visit even though it’s clearly covered by the contract. They frequently called to authorize OVERTIME because they can’t get a technician out during normal business hours. Even after our contract expired and with the required written notice to terminate provided to Schlinder they still billed us for two additional months and immediately put us into collections before reviewing their own files to see that we complied, to the letter, with regards to cancelling their services. DO NOT BE SUCKERED IN BY THIS POORLY run company.

My wife manages 10 story property and is under contract with schindler. Never ending problems. Recently she received a bill for $ 1400. To replace a call button. That is covered by the contract. But when my wife checks the video cameras the Technition was there for 3 min. And only reset the elevator. On other occasions when elevators shut down and we cant get any service for 24 hours we’ve had to reset the elevators are self at their supervisors request. And when a technician finally does show up they threaten us with a $ 500 fine because you must be certified to reset an elevator.

Lousy service, lousy technicians, lousy communications. We have over elevators that they are unable to keep up and running primarily because their technicians can’t work on over elevators. on any given day I will have for elevators out of service. We have a contract that unfortunately we are stuck with. Schindler thought we were going to put new elevators in, but when will they realize we weren’t going to anytime soon their service dropped off dramatically. I would run from this company as fast as you can run run run away.

My building has an elevator from this company and the elevator broke down around December 24th. It is now January 22nd and the elevator is STILL not fixed!
Our building board members have contacted the company every day and still nothing. It has been a HUGE inconvenience to be without the elevator. A lot of people have a lot of things to haul down. I personally got a wagon for Christmas so that i could easily transport things to my apartment, but haven’t been able to use it since we are without an elevator.
Rough. This company does not go out of their way to be helpful and can’t even manage to communicate what the problem is or do anything to be efficient in fixing it.

DO NOT sign a contract with this company! It’s a 5 year deal that you can’t cancel for awful service and it is an auto renewal. It took them 23 days to fix an elevator in a condo building for an issue that was projected to fix in 1 day. Oh, and if you try to call them, good luck! Their VM boxes are all full and they don’t call back!

No stars. These people operate like a third world bureaucracy. I bet if we paid them a little extra «overtime» they could have the part out to us but a piggy by any other name is still a pig.
Please if you have any sense you will not use these guys.

Worst company overall they do not deserve even one star I agreed with all the review customers who made comments about there horrible services and NO respect towards customers when you sign up for contract either new installation or long term maintenance agreement your going to be stuck with abuse seriously they will accumulate extremely highly cost for minor repairs and change of order so unrealistic.
Stay away from this company far as you can if I only new before time about bed reviews posted from other experience customers about Scindler Elevator I would of never ever even consider signing off the contract.

Called 4 phone lines everyday for one week. no response. Receptionist apologizes
and tries to help. We have one elevator that serves a 3-​story bldg. Our patrons
are usually Sr. Citizens and they use an interior metal fire escape to visit our office.
This is very dangerous for them.
It almost appears, the company does not have enough techs to service their
customers.
The company does not provide a renewal notice (5 years) and their quarterly
fee is very expensive. The contract renews itself unless you inform them
10 days in advance.

Horrible horrible company! Stay clear of them at all costs! The worst service I have ever experienced from a company. We are stuck in a contract with them so we are subject to their abuse but you don’t have to be. They don’t come when you have someone trapped in your elevator. They don’t communicate and over charge for services. STAY CLEAR!

Worst customer service EVER! 5 calls to the Los Angeles office over the course of 2 weeks and no one returns my calls. We are a long time customer and cannot get anyone to respond. Perhaps, a customer with only one elevator is not worth servicing.
