I grew up in Woodbury and Bagel Master was my go to place! I moved to Queens and could not find a place that can match the service and quality. Every time I am in town, I always make sure I visit and pick up their delicious bagels!

The bagels are delicious, but major health code violations. However, I noticed on more than one occasion that the works(all of them) handle money, the cash register AND the bagels without changing their gloves. This is a health code violation and disgusting. Normally, I’d say something, but the workers are so surly that I fear reprisal. I go into the store often enough that I don’t want to deal with that. I’m hoping the owner sees this review before the board of health goes in or people get sick. If you think workers are allowed to handle food and money with the same gloves, Google it.

Just home from Bagel Master, go here pretty often to p/u orders for family i work for. Ordered a corn muffin that had to be a day old, the muffin top was so hard & the entire muffin crumbled apart when cut w/knife. The line was out the door as always. Personally, i will stick to my Village Bagels just over the railroad tracks. Their bagels are really good, soft, fresh, no long lines, hidden gem.

We love bagel master, the food, the lines, the fresh bagels and fish. Just ask for soft or warm bagels. They are the best Egg sandwiches on rolls or flat bagels are great as well as tuna salad and cream cheese and lox. Yummmmmm

The reason this place doesn’t have four stars is because of the service. Overall, this is one of the best places in Syosset, NY to get a bagel & cc and/or lox, challah, fresh squeezed juice, etc. The service is slow, lines are usually long and the eight people behind the counter aren’t enough. The two most recent times I have been, they were out of fresh squeezed, grapefruit juice, and the pumpernickel bagels were stale, and they still served that to me instead of suggesting something else. Additionally, both times, the tall boy/son with blonde hair serviced me and I specifically asked for a toasted pumpernickel bagel with lite veggie cream cheese. Instead, I got a stale un-toasted pumpernickel bagel with non-lite chive cream cheese. My mouth tasted like onions the rest of the day! Another time; a few months ago I asked for eggs over medium on a bagel and the eggs came out over easy and oozed everywhere! I wasn’t happy with the most recent times I have visited and that’s why my review dropped down from a **** to a ***. As of yet, my favorite bagel place is in Mineola, NY(also accepts credit cards, unlike Bagel Master). Their bagels are always fresh and they never give you anything(on the verge of going) bad. Their muffins are made in shop too, not outsourced from elsewhere. They don’t have challah, but if you want good challah, go to Cardinali’s in Syosset, NY or hop on the LIRR westbound to Penn Station’s Hot & Crusty or make it yourself(you’d be surprised). Happy eats!

I have no idea how this place doesn’t have at least 4 stars. I’ve been coming here since I started dating/married a local 8 years ago. The bagels are the I’ve had in LI(please don’t even offer me a gabbys or a bagel boss!). The bagels are certainly the star of the show but the sushi grade lox is also incredible. Great whitefish, egg salad, and herring. Really good desserts too. One of my go to orders is chopped herring on pumpernickel(never scooped) cream cheese and onions. Love an everything falafel with lox, cream cheese and the works.

I literally drive from Long Island city to Syosset for these bagels once a week. Their spreads are heaven and are the path for world peace. Delicious.

Best bagel place around… after going to gabbys i timed them(gabbys takes forever)…there was a long line which was gone in 2 mins and my order took 5 mins flat so i was in and out in 7 mins with 5 coffees and 2 bagel specific orders… ps at gabbys it took 25 mins for one bagel and like my friend said«bagel place of choice for jews and gentiles alike» im jewish and i was not offended by that and i hope no one else is… if u r sorry but shes right

This. Is. The. Best. Bagel. Place. On. Long. Island. Period. Any negative reviews here are because the employees aren’t super cheerful and smiley. Who cares? All that matters is how delicious their bagels are. I would hate working there too. The line is always really long on the weekends(but moves fast), and they have to deal with people from Syosset and surrounding areas. I’ve seen countless amounts of people be so nasty and rude to the staff with typical Syosset attitudes. They have the best everything bagel. The best. Nobody even compares. The egg sandwich special is great. Cheap and it comes with a coffee, tea or hot chocolate. This place is 100x better than any Bagel Boss around, especially that horrible one on 25 in Westbury/Jericho. The bagels are always a great texture, fresh, and the cream cheese is great as well. There is nothing bad I can say about this place. Nothing.

I would give this place one more star… but honestly speaking I really think their customer service skills BLOW! They don’t seem happy to be there at all, especially the tall blonde boy with the heavy Russian accent and the tall blonde with the caked up face. if this place is family owned I wouldn’t be surprised if those two are related just based off their attitudes. Although I will admit that their food is good(when they understand you good enough to actually make it the way you asked). Customer service definitely needs some improvement though.
